First Appearance Chapter 1

Background / History

Drogo is an ancient red dragon whose notoriety has attracted numerous exaggerated and fabricated stories. His reputation worsened after he accidentally burned down a temple of the Goddess of Magic; the goddess retaliated through an eighth-tier warrior carrying an eleventh-circle spell scroll. Drogo escaped with severe injuries and concluded that indiscriminate fighting was too dangerous, even for an ancient dragon. 1

Before becoming a dragon, Drogo lived as a human and worked as a game designer. His engineering education included programming-related knowledge, which later shaped how he interpreted magic: he sees spell systems as languages and spell models as programs. 9

After relocating from his volcanic island toward Twin Towers City, Drogo founded Drogo’s Toy Store to sell yo-yos enhanced with illusion magic. He personally selected and abducted Aisha after researching registered illusionists, choosing her for her visual-effects specialty, relative inexperience, and family ties. He ultimately hired her under a paid contract rather than treating her solely as a captive. 1 2

Drogo gradually expands from toy sales into comics, games, magical devices, film production, potion manufacturing, and illusion-magic infrastructure. His projects repeatedly combine modern entertainment concepts from his former life with the world’s magic, labor force, and public culture. 5 17 35 41

After establishing Magic Vision and expanding his industrial base, Drogo develops Deepwater City into a rapidly growing settlement for laborers, Tieflings, devils, merchants, researchers, and refugees. He uses the city as a base for manufacturing, magical research, education, media production, and experimental civic administration. 230 261 276 312

Drogo increasingly becomes involved in continental politics. He rescues Frederica, supports Northern Frontier development, helps organize the defense against Sutton’s royal forces, and later assists with Sutton’s postwar reforms while holding several ministerial posts and serving as deputy prime minister. 104 365 385

His investigations into the Divine Remains eventually reveal that gods are consciousness-based entities resembling intelligent databases. Seeking to avoid becoming a pawn of the Goddess of Magic, Drogo infiltrates the Soul Ascenders’ consciousness space, exploits their belief that he is an ancient transcendent being, and cultivates Bruce as an informant and disciple. 359 360 391 392

Appearance

Drogo’s true form is that of a massive dark-red ancient dragon with fiery eyes, wings, claws, horns, and devastating breath. He often uses a treasure to reduce himself to a more manageable drake-like size when operating in cities. 1 3 19

  • Dark red scales, including scales mistaken for the Bane family’s ancestral relic. 4
  • Lava-like or flaming eyes. 19 45
  • Can shrink to approximately two meters tall or even smaller for travel and business. 1 3
  • In shrunken form, still weighs more than 240 pounds. 19
  • Sometimes adopts an upright stance and oversized dragonborn armor to hide his identity. 48
  • Uses a bow-tie-equipped voice device to communicate in humanoid languages. 41
  • Can manifest as a half-man-tall red dragon while retaining overwhelming draconic pressure. 104
  • Uses a harmless-looking “Milk Dragon” appearance in consciousness space to lower targets’ guard. 360 361
  • Has been described as handsome by dragon standards and has attracted admirers even during his infamous period. 225
  • Wore a Santa Dragon costume while granting children’s wishes in Deepwater City. 276

Personality

Drogo is cautious, pragmatic, and intensely curious. His near-death experience with the Goddess of Magic made him reluctant to provoke powers he cannot reliably overcome, so he often favors contracts, propaganda, legal maneuvering, infiltration, or elaborate staging over open violence. 1 15 16

He has a mischievous and frequently absurd sense of humor. He enjoys teasing Aisha, inventing dramatic product names, cheating at mahjong through illusion magic, and inserting himself into his own film as an Easter egg. 3 23 34

Despite calling himself an “evil dragon” and maintaining flexible moral standards, Drogo has strong reactions to exploitation and injustice. He avoids destroying factories when workers would suffer, seeks affordable healing potions for poor laborers, protects Mila, and personally leads the assault on the theater trafficking operation. 16 33 45 48

Drogo is highly adaptive in business and politics, rapidly revising plans when consumer behavior, technical limitations, or military conditions prove his assumptions wrong. He treats media, games, public opinion, and even manufactured rivalry as tools for advancing wider commercial and social goals. 169 178 311 385

He can be unexpectedly generous toward children, refugees, laborers, and people whose opportunities have been restricted by birth or poverty. However, he is easily frustrated when his goodwill is exploited and often responds to exploitation with overwhelming, personally delivered consequences. 276 301 312

Abilities & Skills

Ancient Dragon Physiology

Drogo possesses the physical traits and resilience of an ancient red dragon.

  • Breathes powerful crimson fire capable of scattering drow warriors and melting refined-gold doors. 18 48
  • Has extremely high magic resistance; transporting him by teleportation array requires legion-scale capacity. 3
  • Can withstand defensive spells considerably weaker than those of Soren Mage Tower. 48
  • Possesses an overwhelming draconic pressure that can induce panic or unconsciousness in weaker targets. 14
  • Has an exceptionally sensitive sense of smell, which he uses to inspect suspicious objects and track people. 12 35
  • Can instantly kill heavily protected opponents with his claws and catch a fired bullet between his talons. 104 282
  • Possesses heightened elemental sensitivity, allowing him to notice extremely brief magical fluctuations such as the power discharge from Oli Crystal Chips. 185

Magical Aptitude

Although he initially lacked formal magical education, Drogo rapidly develops an analytical understanding of magic.

  • Memorizes and reads quaternary-like magical strings through a dragon’s near-hyperthymetic memory. 9
  • Mastered core illusion-school inscriptions within hours after obtaining Aisha’s instructional materials. 9
  • Learned to construct teleportation circles for summoning personnel. 18
  • Improved substantially at illusion magic while testing the Visual Inscription Workshop, enabling infiltration without brute force or drugs. 44
  • Cannot naturally use transformation magic as effectively as Flynn, relying instead on size-altering treasures and devices. 19 41
  • Possesses exceptional innate magical talent despite initially being ignorant of formal spellcraft, while dragon-language magic is instinctively engraved into his genes. 6
  • Gains access to an egg-like Divine Remains containing a vast foundation of magical knowledge that only he can directly read. 204
  • Later unlocks advanced spell knowledge transmitted by the Network God, much of it involving high-circle magic beyond his original expertise. 360 363

Divine Remains Server Authority

Drogo became the proxy dragon of a fragment of a dead god after activating the so-called divine remains.

  • Receives knowledge from the god-fragment and can define its connection protocol. 35
  • Designed a Red Dragon tile-shaped divine inscription for access. 35
  • Uses the remains as a server for storing and sharing spell models. 35
  • Its theoretical storage capacity increases with the number of believers, though its initial available space is extremely limited. 35
  • Founded the Flying Red Center Church to recruit users and expand the server’s capacity. 36
  • Expands the Red Center Network with multiple Divine Remains functioning as distributed servers and backup capacity. 359
  • Determines that a Divine Remains’ faith-bearing capacity can grow under pressure, though overloading it risks unknown consequences. 359
  • Learns that the resurrected Network God is a consciousness-derived entity that preserves and distributes knowledge rather than a conventional omnipotent deity. 360

Consciousness-Space Operations

Drogo can use Divine Remains and Soul Ascender technology to access virtual consciousness spaces.

  • Enters the Divine Remains’ consciousness space to communicate with the Network God and investigate the origins of the god race. 359 360
  • Uses a device developed with Flynn to access the Soul Ascenders’ consciousness space without relying on its original human-sacrifice power source. 360
  • Can customize his spiritual-body appearance, using the Milk Dragon form to appear harmless and gather information. 360 361
  • Manipulates selected memory fragments to make the Soul Ascenders believe he is an ancient godlike existence. 363 391
  • Constructs staged consciousness-space environments and uses altered visual and vocal effects to deceive Bruce into accepting him as a transcendent mentor. 392

Business, Media, and Game Design

Drogo applies concepts from his former life to develop new entertainment industries.

  • Designed yo-yos, branded trick systems, comic serialization, and custom-product services. 2 5 8
  • Conceived magical mini-games, an auto battler, and a game-console ecosystem for non-mages. 13 35 39
  • Planned and produced Holy Mountain Journey, including its opening logo, credits, production methods, and promotional controversy. 17 24 25
  • Developed the Visual Inscription Workshop to make illusion spell models easier to create and debug. 41 43
  • Uses public opinion, journalism, and fiction strategically, including campaigns against Ragu Kulman’s potion factory. 16 17
  • Develops Magic Vision broadcasting with Doudou’s Object Duplication, allowing regular episodic Magic Shadow transmission across a distance of at least 1,500 meters. 76
  • Produces Magic Shadow adaptations of Blazing Teens, casts yo-yo players as performers, and builds acting training around Vertical Shop Island. 79 81
  • Oversees projects ranging from Frozen, The Silence of the Lambs, and The Lord of the Rings to tabletop RPGs, virtual RPGs, and competitive games such as Hero 5v5. 110 281 326 385 427
  • Uses product upgrades, livestreaming, promotional campaigns, and consumer research to expand Magic Vision and his online-shopping platform. 169 358
  • Develops new industries around magical power generation after identifying Magic-Element Induction in Oli Crystal Chips. 185
  • Treats wartime footage, antiwar games, and battlefield media as both public-relations tools and commercial platforms. 301 311

Education, Research, and Civic Development

Drogo increasingly applies his magical and commercial infrastructure to public education and urban development.

  • Builds Deepwater City into an industrial settlement with regulated labor, commerce, public health measures, and an expanding transportation network. 261
  • Establishes schools that teach literacy, mathematics, science, arts, and foundational magical theory to commoner children regardless of spellcasting ability. 276
  • Recruits magical researchers based on theoretical aptitude rather than conventional spellcasting talent. 311
  • Supports Deepwater City University and its Magic Prodigy Class, recognizing that non-casters can still contribute to magical research. 311 312
  • Envisions magic as a practical tool available to the masses rather than an exclusive privilege of mages. 312

Strategy and Deception

Drogo frequently uses misdirection, information gathering, and staged events to secure his goals.

  • Directed a drow investigation into pirated yo-yos while explicitly ordering them not to act prematurely. 15
  • Planned a media scandal rather than immediately destroying Kulman’s factory. 16
  • Staged a false divine appearance to make the kuo-toa accept him as Sea Mother’s messenger and cooperate in developing their island. 18
  • Manipulated the aftermath of Lagu’s attack to establish evidence and pursue compensation legally. 34
  • Led a disguised assault on the theater trafficking ring after uncovering its connections to brainwashing, devil worship, and noble corruption. 48
  • Uses edited footage to provoke dwarf-elven rivalry and increase participation in the Blade-Forging Tournament. 178
  • Turns Laven’s attempted theft of firearms blueprints into a binding labor and advertising contract rather than executing him. 287
  • Sponsors mercenaries with weapons and action cameras in exchange for battlefield footage, using the resulting material to shape public opinion about the Augustan war. 301
  • Manipulates Sutton VII with counterfeit Spell Grenade shells to lure him into overconfidence before using genuine weapons. 376
  • Uses the Soul Ascenders’ reverence for his fabricated godlike identity to acquire intelligence and influence within their organization. 391 392
