Background / History
Flynn is an ancient gold dragon and a long-standing acquaintance of Drogo. Though only one day older than him, she insists on seniority and accepts being called his “elder.” Their reunions are usually marked by childish mutual insults, but she had genuinely believed he might have died at the hands of the gods. 19 39
A renowned illusionist, Flynn has taught more than half of the several hundred living illusionists. Her wealth, collection of rare magical materials, and standing within the illusion community greatly exceed those of most of her peers. 19
She became one of Liebin Spellcaster Academy's most diligent instructors, teaching illusion-related electives while attempting to preserve and expand the field. Declining enrollment, poor attendance, and illusion-detecting lamps had made the discipline increasingly marginalized before Drogo's games renewed student interest in Illusion Mimicry. 37
Following the success of Drogo's game projects, Flynn became a leading technical contributor to the Visual Inscription Workshop. As the workshop's chief R&D engineer for illusionist development, she oversees the reconstruction of its systems and the planned development of a universal game engine. 234
Flynn has also remained committed to making magical knowledge accessible beyond conventional mages. Although her early online teaching materials and beginner-level lessons proved too advanced for ordinary learners, she later became deeply invested in teaching commoner children in Drogo's youth class and serves as its homeroom teacher. 121 267 312 314
Appearance
In human form, Flynn is a tall, imposing woman whose appearance contrasts with her warm manner toward students. 19
- Fair skin and shoulder-length golden hair. 19
- A lovely, elf-like face without pointed ears. 19
- Nearly six and a half feet tall. 19
- Often dresses simply but with high-quality craftsmanship while teaching. 37
- Uses a bicycle to travel through Twin Towers City rather than teleporting. 37
- Extended development work has left her visibly disheveled at times; she may wear loose, pajama-like clothes, pin her hair up with a pen, and forgo makeup while debugging. 43 75
- Her golden-dragon form is slender and dignified, with an appearance that suits both human and dragon aesthetics. 75
- She often remains in dragon form at home, finding the absence of clothing more comfortable after decades of maintaining a human guise. 154
Personality
Flynn is deeply devoted to illusion magic, teaching, and art collecting. She remains committed to teaching properly even when only one student remains in her class, and she sees passing knowledge to later generations as a responsibility. 37
She is nurturing toward her disciples, particularly Aisha and Yuffie, whom she treats with strong affection and protectiveness. Her concern can become overbearing, as shown when she assumed Yuffie's exhaustion and late nights were caused by romance before discovering they were caused by games. 37 41
Despite her age and status, Flynn is playful, competitive, and prone to childish behavior. She cheats at mahjong with illusions, becomes frustrated when game mechanics do not reflect real-world strength, and eagerly challenges Drogo after he calls her his elder sister. 34 39
She is also adaptable. Initially skeptical that games and Illusion Mimicry could support illusionists, she recognizes Drogo's ambition to bring illusion magic into ordinary households and chooses to support the effort. 38 39
Flynn is intellectually curious and possesses a near-boundless appetite for spell research. She readily loses herself in advanced magical materials, recognizes the value of systematic magical theory, and can become impatient when Drogo interrupts her studies. 204 360 363
Her confidence in her own magical knowledge can make her thin-skinned when challenged. She became embroiled in an increasingly heated forum debate over invisibility magic, only to be embarrassed when her identity was exposed and her opponent turned out to be Saint El. 121 123
Although she loves teaching, Flynn initially struggles to explain elementary concepts at an accessible level, often treating advanced material as obvious. Her youth-class students' exceptional comprehension and enthusiasm eventually allow her teaching strengths to flourish. 121 198 312
Flynn also has a fondness for cute things, including Druids vs. Necromancers, knitted sunflowers, and deceptively cheerful games such as Overcooked!. 147 225
Abilities & Skills
Illusion Magic
Flynn is a legendary illusionist whose specialty is illusion magic. She can produce large-scale, detailed visual effects and manipulate sensory perception. 19 22
- Created a time-lapse lotus-pond illusion inspired by New Willow, Withered Lotus, showing lotuses passing through seasons into spring. 19
- Used sensory illusion magic to constrict Yulian's throat, deny him breath and speech, and release him after his apology. 20
- Projected moving scenery outside carriage windows for Holy Mountain Journey using magical crystal screen walls. 22
- Dispelled set fog and the illusion concealing Drogo during filming. 23
- Used an illusion to alter a mahjong tile while cheating. 34
- Identified both the unprecedented scale and poor efficiency of the illusion models used in Hero Auto Chess. 39
- Identified Battleaxe's affliction as an extremely ancient form of illusion magic that directly manipulates elements and magical power instead of relying on a spell model. 112
- Controlled the armed personnel at the Magic Vision signal-hijacking site by placing them under an illusion. 253
- Has encountered illusions outside even her extensive experience, including the mental-influence illusion spread through hijacked Magic Vision broadcasts. 225
Magical Power and Spellcasting
Flynn possesses immense magical power beyond illusion work. She can perform demanding spells, though her high magic resistance makes teleportation exhausting for her. 26 37
- Teleported Drogo, a drum kit, and a corpse to the Underdark at his request, expending an enormous amount of magic. 26
- Uses cleaning spells and Frost spells for practical purposes. 38 50
- Can transform into a golden dragon through Complete Transformation. 39 50
- In Hero Auto Chess, her dragon-form hero is depicted using a golden dragon roar and breath attacks. 38 39
- Is proficient in nearly every school of magic except Divination, which she finds incomprehensible. 37
- Possesses significant physical strength and combat ability even in human form, having subdued Drogo with a flying cross armbar. 60
- Can rapidly analyze and construct spell-rune components; she completed the spell portion of a device for entering the Soul Ascenders' consciousness space in under ten minutes. 360
- Her Complete Transformation replaces her abilities and intelligence with those of the chosen form, making it unsuitable for intelligent reconnaissance if she assumes an insect's form. 253
Spell Research and Magical Engineering
Flynn applies her knowledge of spellcraft to magical engineering, illusion-model optimization, golem construction, and spell-programming projects. 39 41 185
- Revised inefficient illusion inscriptions and models for Hero Auto Chess. 39
- Helped establish the Visual Inscription Workshop as a tool for creating, debugging, and optimizing illusion spell models. 41 43
- Led Little Mo's intelligent-inscription-system development team. 185
- Participated in research establishing that moving magic-energy chips through a high-element-concentration environment can generate a detectable effect without requiring fanning. 185
- Evaluated the magical-knowledge egg connected to Drogo and recognized its systematic, rigorous presentation of otherwise basic spell theory. 204
- Collaborated with Drogo on the creation of a new golem and later created a miniature moving golem modeled after him, called Little Drogo. 204 311
- Oversees the Visual Inscription Workshop's system reconstruction and the planned development of an operating system and universal game engine. 234
- Quickly understood and implemented the Soul Ascenders' unusual consciousness-space entry method despite its lack of connection to conventional schools of magic. 360
- Became absorbed in researching the newly accessible advanced spell knowledge transmitted through the Divine Remains. 363
Teaching and Mentorship
Flynn is an experienced instructor and a central mentor within the illusionist community. 19 37
- Mentored Aisha Stone, a second-rank illusionist. 19
- Personally trained Yuffie as a potential successor and future carrier of her knowledge. 37
- Attracted a packed four-hundred-seat lecture hall after students became interested in Illusion Mimicry. 37
- Recruited renowned illusionists from across the continent for the Visual Inscription Workshop. 41
- Produces online instructional content and continues trying to improve her ability to teach beginners. 121 267
- Teaches advanced magical theory to commoner children in Drogo's tuition-free youth class, despite their lack of spellcasting ability. 312
- Became the youth class's homeroom teacher and devotes most of her energy to its students and lesson preparation. 314 316
- Encourages students to apply magical theory independently, including rune analysis and enchantment theory. 316
Artistic Knowledge
Flynn is a collector and student of painting with a sharp eye for unfamiliar styles. 19
- Recognized the expressive potential of the painting New Willow, Withered Lotus despite initially mistaking it for a child's work. 19
- Became interested in the “freehand” style and agreed to create illusion effects for Holy Mountain Journey in exchange for more paintings attributed to Wu Guanzhong. 19
- Her experimentation with abstraction and anti-realism was later noted as part of the art world's response to photography. 25
- Participates in the recurring “Breaking the Frame” exhibitions, where she and fellow artists explore painting beyond realism and approach an Impressionist style. 194
- Maintains an online presence under the name “Golden Dragon Loves Painting,” where she posts artwork and discusses magic. 112 121

Story Role / Major Arcs
*Holy Mountain Journey*
Flynn agrees to provide illusion effects for Holy Mountain Journey after Aisha presents her with New Willow, Withered Lotus. She later serves as an audition judge, advises Drogo to use protective magic during an action scene, and offers to participate in future magic films after seeing the completed sample. 19 20 23 24
Revival of Illusion Magic
As declining demand threatens illusion magic's place at the academy, Flynn discovers that Drogo's games have unexpectedly made Illusion Mimicry popular. Her class fills beyond capacity, though she is initially angered to learn that many students are interested primarily in games. 37
Hero Auto Chess Development
Flynn confronts Drogo over Yuffie's gaming, tries Hero Auto Chess herself, and realizes that its magic devices could make illusion magic accessible to ordinary people. She volunteers to improve the spell models and directs Drogo to Barn Forge for device optimization. 38 39
Visual Inscription Workshop
Flynn recruits an all-star group of illusionists to build the Visual Inscription Workshop, then works through its demanding debugging process with Drogo. She remains involved through the release of Version 0.1 early access. 41 43 50
Magic Vision Network
When Drogo struggles to devise a way to distribute Magic Vision content, Flynn proposes using rune-marked object duplicates of the main magic crystal rather than conventional signal transmission. She later helps bring Doudou into the project through their family connection, contributing to the successful test of a Magic Vision machine with a 1,500-meter transmission range. 75 76
Invisibility Magic Debate
Flynn publishes an invisibility-magic plan for the construction sequence in Frozen and becomes locked in a technical argument with the account “Retired Elf.” After discovering that her opponent is Saint El and being publicly exposed, she apologizes and invites him to the set; his specialized solution helps address the castle-effects problem. 121 123 124
Advanced Spell Language
Flynn initially questions whether ordinary people who use an Advanced Spell Language could truly be called mages, but gradually accepts the potential of making spell creation more accessible. She advises Drogo that the Mages Guild's Round Table Elders will need a practical demonstration before supporting the project. 196
Divine Remains and Soul Ascenders Investigation
Flynn helps assess the systematic magical knowledge stored in the Divine Remains' egg and recognizes its potential to unify magical theory. After the Mammon Sect's Magic Vision attacks expose consciousness-related devices and unfamiliar illusions, she assists Drogo in studying their methods and rapidly builds the spell-rune component needed to enter the Soul Ascenders' consciousness space. 204 225 253 360
Deepwater City Youth Class
Flynn teaches advanced magical theory to commoner children without spellcasting ability in Drogo's youth class. Though initially concerned that such instruction might be useless to them, she comes to share Drogo's view that understanding magic can allow non-casters to contribute meaningfully to magical research. 312 314 316
