• Jia Xiu won Ambassador Thorin’s trust by outdrinking him and learned that the Dwarves’ Stone Giant was a large rune-based spellcasting device.
• Jia Xiu decoded the Flame Demon’s planar retrieval spell and, with Margaret and Elizabeth, tested a healing-and-illusion method on an Ice Demon, which ultimately disintegrated.
• Jia Xiu and Dean Nico studied Devil self-healing, while Thomas arranged an attack after tracing Jia Xiu’s role in the detection method to the laboratory’s playing cards.
• Thomas’s Devil attack was stopped by Dean Nico and Master Larven, and Jia Xiu used Larven’s spell to strand Thomas’s soul as a Devil claimed it.
