On the way to the library, Su Ge also learned a little about Soul Beasts from Tang San's explanations.

Some of the stories about powerful Soul Beasts left Su Ge feeling stirred with excitement.

Still, he didn't show it. Tang San had told him all this, and it certainly wasn't because he was simply that generous.

Given Tang San's nature, it was more likely the result of Gangzi pushing things along behind the scenes.

After all, if they wanted him as a disciple, then the only way to win him over was with all that knowledge.

But that was exactly what Su Ge wanted, so he put on an interested expression, as if he truly yearned for all that knowledge.

Of all the things they discussed, what caught his attention most was the Soul Beast Tang San had called the Lion-Tiger Beast.

Based on Tang San's description, Su Ge gave it some thought and was startled to realize that this Soul Beast had a striking resemblance to the legendary Suanni!

According to legend, the Suanni was born from the union of a dragon and a lion, and its appearance was more or less just as Tang San had described.

There were some discrepancies in the details, but that didn't change the fact that this Soul Beast was perfect for Su Ge!

A hundred-year Soul Beast could rival a thousand-year one, and a thousand-year one could rival a ten-thousand-year one. That meant it had the bloodline of a top-tier Soul Beast, as well as dragon blood. It was powerful in both body and strength.

It suited him perfectly, and its strength was also within the limit of what he could handle.

If it were a Soul Beast like the Wind Baboon, with its long-range attacks, it would be harder for him to deal with. Now that such a perfect Soul Beast had appeared, it was exactly what he wanted!

After silently committing this information to memory, Su Ge and Tang San stopped outside the library.

"Your teacher must be a very learned scholar, Tang San. Your path as a Soul Master is sure to go smoothly from here on!"

Su Ge smiled politely and didn't stint on his praise for Yu Xiaogang. It wasn't as if it cost him anything.

He'd take the bait, but the hook wouldn't catch him. So he planned to get as much "bait" as possible from Gangzi while keeping his attitude ambiguous.

Hearing Su Ge say that, Tang San smiled happily.

After chatting with Su Ge all the way there, he said goodbye and hurried back to Dorm Seven.

He had to correct everyone's prejudice and prove that his teacher was a learned scholar!

Su Ge waved goodbye to Tang San as he walked away. Watching his retreating figure, he soon turned his gaze away.

He had just felt an uncomfortable sensation spreading over him, as if something lurking in the shadows had its eyes on him.

It wasn't a matter of perception, but instinct—something like an animal's instincts!

So he kept his expression unchanged, didn't dwell on it, and continued with what he had set out to do.

As for when to hunt for his First Soul Ring, he planned to take leave in a while and look for the Lion-Tiger Beast.

"For now, I'd better focus on improving myself!"

Looking at the library, Su Ge let out a breath, stepped inside, and plunged into its depths.

He didn't return to Dorm Seven to rest until after dinner, when night had fallen. By then, everyone there was already asleep.

Su Ge didn't disturb them. He simply lay down and went to sleep.

He slept deeply and soundly, all the way until the next morning.

When Xiao Wu got up, rubbing her eyes, she noticed that Su Ge had woken up at some point and was talking with Wang Sheng and the others.

"Why didn't you wake me? Aren't we supposed to fight that Boss Xiao today?"

Looking at Xiao Wu's bleary-eyed expression, Su Ge smiled and shook his head. "You were sleeping so soundly, so I didn't wake you."

"Besides, we still have time. Get ready, and we can set off."

As he spoke, he handed her a few steamed buns. Steam still rose from them, and they looked piping hot.

They were plain buns, but Xiao Wu happily ate them anyway.

Xiao Wu took them and ate as she listened to Su Ge and the others chat.

But as she ate, something started to feel off. She looked around and realized that the other great fighter in Dorm Seven, Tang San, was nowhere to be seen.

"Where's Xiao San? Where'd he run off to?"

"I didn't see him when I got up this morning. But from the looks of it, he probably went with his teacher to hunt for his First Soul Ring, right?" Wang Sheng spoke up first. By then, he had almost fully recovered, and at least had no trouble walking.

"Hunting for his First Soul Ring?"

Xiao Wu was taken aback by the answer. She had long known that humans hunted Soul Beasts to obtain Soul Rings.

But faced with such a cruel truth, she still found it hard to accept.

So, with a touch of emotion in her voice, she expressed what she was feeling another way.

"Then if we're going to fight Boss Xiao later, isn't leaving without a word just running away in the middle of a battle?"

"He's being so disloyal!"

Hearing Xiao Wu's words, Wang Sheng didn't know how to respond. After all, it was true.

"All right, Xiao San didn't know about this either, did he? Otherwise, he'd definitely have told everyone."

As he spoke, he pushed open the door to Dorm Seven and stepped outside. The rising sun sent shafts of light piercing the darkness, spilling into the dormitory.

Su Ge's shadow stretched long, making him look especially tall in everyone's eyes!

Seeing this, everyone gathered their thoughts and turned their attention back.

"Do you all trust me?"

Su Ge turned his head slightly and asked Xiao Wu and the others behind him.

"We all trust you, Boss Su!"

"Good. I promise we'll win!"

Su Ge's face bore a confident smile that put people at ease. His golden hair shone brilliantly in the sunlight, and his whole being radiated a singular charm!

Xiao Wu looked at Su Ge. At that moment, she felt a sense of peace coming from him.
