When the residents of Dorm Seven followed Su Ge to the academy's back hills, Xiao Chenyu had already brought his people there and was waiting.
Though they called it the back hills, it wasn't actually within the academy grounds. It was a small hill just outside the academy's rear gate.
Hardly anyone ever came here. When Su Ge had picked the place for their fight, he'd simply followed the original story and challenged them here.
Only now that he'd arrived did he realize just how little-known the place really was.
For Su Ge, though, that was the best news he could have hoped for!
"Well, well. I didn't think you'd actually dare to come, kid."
"But it's not too late to change your mind."
"Just hand over the little girl behind you. Let her be my pet rabbit, and I'll forgive you for offending me."
Xiao Chenyu watched Su Ge approach with his group, his face wearing an exaggerated expression of feigned surprise.
Then, with a mocking grin, he pointed at Xiao Wu behind Su Ge.
Behind him stood more than twenty upperclassmen. They watched the residents of Dorm Seven with wicked grins, clearly not taking them seriously.
In their eyes, a bunch of poor country bumpkins who couldn't even afford tuition deserved to be trampled underfoot!
"So you're pretty brave, huh?"
Su Ge didn't answer Xiao Chenyu. For some reason, Xiao Wu was already seething with anger.
"Hahahaha... What are you even saying, kid? Forget Nuoding Academy—even throughout Nuoding City, who doesn't know me, Xiao Chenyu?"
"And what's one pet rabbit worth, anyway?"
Xiao Chenyu wore a swaggering grin, his whole bearing radiating the arrogance of someone born to rule.
"Forget it. Your mouth stinks. I'll have to beat you first before you learn how to talk properly."
Su Ge waved to Wang Sheng and the others behind him, speaking with casual nonchalance. "Wang Sheng, surround them."
"Remember, don't let a single one escape!"
"Got it, boss! We won't let even one fly get out!"
Wang Sheng and the others thumped their chests as they answered. Then they spread out, leaving Su Ge and his companions plenty of room to fight while surrounding Xiao Chenyu's group.
Su Ge nodded in satisfaction, then turned to Xiao Wu and moved closer, pointing at Xiao Chenyu.
"I know you've been wanting to beat this guy up for a long time, so you can take him. I'll handle the others."
"Sound good?"
After he finished speaking, he even checked with her, though he'd already divided up the work between them in front of Xiao Chenyu and his men, all twenty-odd of them.
"Leave him to me. Sister Xiao Wu isn't just some delicate little thing!"
Xiao Wu planted her hands on her hips, brimming with confidence.
"Heh, good. Then shall I count to three and we'll start?"
Seeing Xiao Chenyu and the others storm toward them, fury written across their faces, Su Ge grinned and invited Xiao Wu to begin.
"Sure! Then... three!"
Xiao Wu agreed with a smile, but in the next instant she shot past him at incredible speed.
Feeling the breeze she stirred as she rushed by, Su Ge simply shook his head with a smile. "Always in such a hurry."
But his gaze immediately locked onto the twenty-odd underlings behind Xiao Chenyu.
"Looks like today I won't just be taking on ten—I'll be taking on more than twenty!"
He stretched, his golden eyes gleaming faintly. The muscles in his legs bulged, and with a forceful push off the ground, he shot forward like an arrow loosed from a bow!
Meanwhile, Xiao Wu had just engaged Xiao Chenyu. Once she realized he was a One-Ring Soul Master, she'd planned to keep him occupied and look for an opening.
But then she heard movement behind her. She turned and saw Su Ge charging toward them at full speed, her eyes widening slightly.
She forgot about dealing with Xiao Chenyu for the moment and hurriedly darted aside, putting as much distance between herself and Su Ge as she could.
The upperclassmen he was targeting weren't nearly so lucky. They saw only a dark blur hurtling toward them, and the unlucky few at the front were sent flying into the air!
Even as they soared, astonishment showed on their faces.
After charging into the crowd, Su Ge dug in his heels to stop, then spun around and grabbed the nearest student.
With a slight exertion of his arm, he lifted the student and hurled him away, sending him straight into several figures still airborne and knocking them flying together!
They landed squarely in the branches of a large tree nearby!
"Now it's your turn."
Su Ge stood alone in the middle of a ring of more than a dozen people, yet somehow it felt as if he were the one surrounding them all!
"Don't be afraid, everyone! Let's attack together!"
At that, a youth whose aura was among the stronger ones stepped forward. A staff nearly two meters long appeared in his hands, and he swung it at Su Ge as he spoke!
At the same time, a short, skinny youth who hardly looked like an upperclassman followed close behind.
He flipped into the air, added a nimble somersault, then glided toward Su Ge.
Once Liu Long and Ling Feng made their moves, the others followed right behind, using their Martial Souls in an organized counterattack against Su Ge!
They'd only been careless before and hadn't had time to use their Martial Souls. Now that they were attacking together, they were sure to take the kid down!
Unfortunately, reality wasn't decided by what they imagined. Only when they fought Su Ge with confidence did they discover just how enormous the gap between them really was!
Whether in strength or speed, they were no match for Su Ge.
Even when they found an opening and managed to land a hit, it had no effect on the kid. They simply couldn't hurt him!
Su Ge seemed like a monster to them, though he didn't actually know many techniques. But with his powerful physique as a foundation, he could still pull off all sorts of responses he came up with on the spot.
When Liu Long swung his staff at him, Su Ge snatched it out of the air with lightning-fast reflexes and yanked Liu Long forward. Then he followed through with a knee strike.
Liu Long instantly doubled over like a cooked shrimp, coughing and spitting as he struggled to catch his breath.
As Ling Feng glided in with a sneak attack, Su Ge bent down the moment Ling Feng launched his distracting strike, braced both hands against the ground, and kicked him flying into another large tree.
The others were dispatched one by one in different ways. More often than not, a single blow was all it took—devastatingly effective!
In the end, upperclassmen lay all around Su Ge, groaning. He stood among them, breathing evenly and looking perfectly at ease, not the least bit tired from the fight.
Su Ge shook his hand and looked over the crowd, who still had enough strength to groan. He nodded in apparent satisfaction and remarked, "Not bad."
