"Venerable, how did it go?"
Outside Southern Sumeru, the young monk had been waiting for a long time.
Compared to when they had first met in the Divine Dynasty years ago, Monk Zhi Kong had scarcely changed at all. For cultivators, time found it difficult to leave traces upon them. Only the faint youthfulness once in his eyes had quietly vanished.
Shen Yi had grasped the insights left behind by the Thousand-Armed Bodhisattva. Resolving a Livestock Transformation Method was naturally as easy as turning his hand over.
Moreover, as a Bodhisattva, having someone at hand to deal with trivial matters was perfectly normal. Other Bodhisattvas simply kept Arhats by their side. Bringing along a Sixth Rank cultivator like him was somewhat rare, but it could barely be explained away.
The two had agreed to address each other as Venerable while outside, lest anyone detect something amiss.
"More or less."
Shen Yi adjusted his breathing, his expression gradually growing solemn.
This was the first time he had seen a cultivator who had ascended to the Second Rank. Merely standing before that Great Freedom Pure World Bodhisattva, even though the other party displayed no emotional fluctuation, gave him an inexplicable sense of pressure.
Those fair, beautiful palms seemed capable of lightly tearing apart his Bodhisattva Dharma Form, woven from the very source of Heavenly Dao's order.
Before such an existence, Shen Yi felt he had performed nearly to the utmost of his ability.
Yet even so, the other party could not be said to trust or distrust him. It was more indifference than anything else.
What had ultimately convinced that Pure World Bodhisattva was the phantom Dharma Form of six arms he had revealed, proving that he had quite deep ties with the Thousand-Armed Bodhisattva.
"At least I've managed to get involved."
