• Profound Peak City, a Nanyang Sect vassal, governs roughly three hundred cities and provides a refuge for ordinary mortals. Its broad jurisdiction has made it a frequent target of demons 486 588.

History

Seven Sons Ascendancy

The Seven Sons Assembly was Southern Flood’s most significant gathering. Invitations extended to notable factions across the region, and its decisions could shape Southern Flood’s course for thousands of years 514.

At the assembly, Shen Yi’s effortless killing of Heavenly Sword Sect Elder Liu Xingshan established his personal standing independently of the position granted to him. He emerged as a figure capable of claiming a place among Southern Flood’s leading powers by strength alone 516 517.

Escalation with the Southern Dragon Palace

The conflict with the Southern Dragon Palace became open when Shen Yi attended its banquet, slew the Second Prince, and ignored the Southern Dragon King’s warning to stop 580. The palace later conducted an unprecedented “patrol” of the Seven Sects, a direct provocation that challenged the sects’ longstanding independence 583.

The Southern Dragon Palace then coordinated a demon incursion from Western Flood. It distributed maps of Southern Flood’s vassals to invading great demons, turning its subordinate territories into targets 585.

Western Flood Demon Incursion

Twelve great demons entered Southern Flood from Western Flood. Shen Yi intercepted their communications and used Demon-Suppressing Stones to lure and eliminate them while concealing the scale of the operation from the invaders 587.

Cold Mountain Ancestor, a mid-Heaven Realm great demon, attacked Profound Peak City. Shen Yi stopped its advance at the city’s border, establishing that his rules governed Southern Flood, then killed it shortly afterward 588 590.

Shen Yi subsequently prevented the Southern Dragon Palace Crown Prince and the Ke Clan Crown Prince from escaping Southern Flood. He killed the Yellow Baleful Poison Dragon, the Ke Clan Crown Prince, and Qi Zhaoyi during the pursuit 592 594.

Fall of the Southern Dragon Palace

Shen Yi fought the Southern Dragon King alone and suppressed it throughout the battle, while the other Southern Flood sect masters attacked the Dragon Palace itself 600. He killed the Dragon King in its azure-stone hall, ending the palace’s rule over Southern Flood 601.

The Seven Sects then sealed Southern Flood to prevent news of the palace’s destruction from spreading. The Southern Dragon Palace and its descendants were destroyed, leaving the region in shock 602.

Shen Yi’s Control

Following the Dragon King’s death, Shen Yi used the Ten Thousand Demons Southern Hall to take control of Southern Flood’s heaven-and-earth aura 601.

• The hall’s authority allows him to disrupt and draw upon the spiritual aura circulating through Southern Flood’s lands and waters 601.
• The scale of this aura vastly exceeds that of an individual blessed land, granting power beyond ordinary Heaven Realm or Dao Integration Realm cultivation when fully invoked 601.
• Shen Yi installed Ke Shisan in the Dragon Grotto to stabilize Southern Flood’s dragon aura and maintain the appearance of a new dragon ruler 601.
• Empowered by the Dragon Grotto, Ke Shisan reached Heaven Realm Perfection and became capable of suppressing the grotto’s dragon aura 601.

External Relations

• Southern Flood’s isolation stems partly from the Nanyang Sect’s past offense against an immortal; after Nanyang’s destruction, the surviving six Sons remained the region’s strongest human force 519.
• Western Flood’s major sects initially viewed Southern Flood as less prosperous and relatively remote, though they recognized the Seven Sons’ deeply intertwined foundations and influence over affiliated factions 522.
• The Eastern Dragon Palace maintained an unusually delicate relationship with the Seven Sons due to its connection with Xuan Qing 603.
