Background / History

Bei Bei is the great-grandson of Mu En, the Dragon God Douluo. Despite this lineage and his access to resources, he is initially shaken to learn that his new roommate, Li Changqing, possesses rank 38 soul power while he himself is only rank 27. He quickly regains his composure and treats Li Changqing warmly. 12

As a Tang Sect member, Bei Bei attempts to recruit Li Changqing after learning that he is unaffiliated. Li declines due to the Tang Sect's severely diminished state, but the two remain on good terms. 12

Bei Bei spars with Li Changqing shortly after they become roommates. He uses his Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon martial soul and multiple soul skills, but Li Changqing blocks his attacks and defeats him with the Heavenly Profound and Earthly Yellow Exquisite Pagoda. The loss leaves Bei Bei conscious of the gap between them, and Mu En reassures him that there is no shame in losing to Li Changqing. 14 16

Four years later, Bei Bei asks Li Changqing to accompany him and Tang Ya to the Star Dou Great Forest to obtain Tang Ya's third soul ring. In exchange, he secures the rare Black Tortoise Divine Pill through Mu En. During the expedition, Bei Bei guards Tang Ya as she absorbs a thousand-year Mandala Snake soul ring. 19 22

Bei Bei later participates in Shrek Academy's Outer Court Selection Tournament, where he joins forces with Dai Huabin against Li Changqing. Li defeats him decisively, though Bei Bei retains his determination and openly complains about Li Changqing's lack of restraint toward a “brother.” 57 60

He is selected as one of the seven members of the Shrek Seven Monsters reserve team. 61

Bei Bei is a youthful male with neat, short dark-blue hair, regular features, gentle brows and eyes, and a faint, approachable smile. 12

He is diligent in cultivation and loyal to those he considers close. He is willing to obtain the extremely rare Black Tortoise Divine Pill so Li Changqing will help Tang Ya obtain a soul ring, and he remains vigilantly at Tang Ya's side throughout her absorption process. 19 22

Although defeat by Li Changqing damages his confidence, Bei Bei does not lose his fighting spirit. He acknowledges his shortcomings, seeks Mu En's guidance, and continues to cultivate and compete. 16 58
