Background / History

Early Life and Family

Bibi Dong is an exceptionally rare cultivator with Innate Full Soul Power and Twin Martial Souls. In her youth, she admired Yu Xiaogang and developed a lasting attachment to him. Qian Xunji once imprisoned her in a secret chamber; she later uses that same chamber for secluded cultivation 122 172.

Her hatred of Qian Xunji extends to the Angel God and affects her relationship with their daughter, Qian Renxue. Before fully embracing Rakshasa power, Bibi Dong still recognizes her daughter’s innocence. She imagines removing Qian Renxue’s Angel bloodline after becoming a god, believing that this would allow her to accept Qian Renxue completely 131.

Interest in Su Sanjia

As Pope, Bibi Dong receives intelligence through Spirit Hall’s extensive spy network, including an agent planted among the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect’s high-ranking guest elders. Reports of Ning Fengzhi’s Martial Soul evolution and Sword Douluo’s breakthrough draw her attention to Su Sanjia, a commoner who reached Soul King at fourteen despite having only Rank Three innate Soul Power. She sends Gui Mei to investigate him and Shrek Academy, hoping to bring his talent under her control 49.

Gui Mei’s report that Su Sanjia has become a Soul Emperor at fifteen initially strikes her as impossible. Later reports of his hundred-thousand-year ring, golden ring, and attack immunity convince her that he likely possesses a divine inheritance. Her interest becomes hostility: Yu Xiaogang has joined her side, Su Sanjia threatens her team’s tournament victory, and the Rakshasa God will not permit another god to ascend from the continent 58 90 98 99 108.

Yu Xiaogang’s Return

After fleeing Shrek Academy, Yu Xiaogang kneels before Bibi Dong and begs forgiveness. She accepts him, appoints him an honorary elder and instructor of Spirit Hall Academy’s team, and grants him authority beyond his nominal position. She also spends considerable resources trying to raise his cultivation to Soul Ancestor 80 81 99 121.

Bibi Dong interprets Liu Erlong’s death as the removal of a romantic rival. She avoids investigating Yu Xiaogang’s recent past because she considers doing so a sign of distrust. Hu Liena notices that her normally calm, wise teacher has changed since his arrival 81 121.

Tournament Disaster and Open Conflict

During the Continental Elite Soul Master Tournament, Bibi Dong supports attempts to remove Su Sanjia from competition and protect the three Soul Bones reserved for her disciples. One attempt fails when he produces a Worship Hall elder token, whose authority outweighs Yu Xiaogang’s position and constrains even the Pope 107 108.

When Spirit Hall’s team accepts defeat, Yu Xiaogang insists on continuing. Bibi Dong orders the students to obey him despite the match having effectively ended. She later tries to stop the resulting disaster, but Su Sanjia’s counterattack kills the entire team, including her disciple. Bibi Dong then uses her office to accuse him of deliberate murder and disrespect toward his seniors 114 115 116.

The confrontation expands into battle. Xiao Wu recognizes Bibi Dong as her mother’s killer and attacks her; Bibi Dong severely injures her and orders her capture. Meanwhile, Chen Xin and Ning Fengzhi prevent Bibi Dong from reaching Yu Xiaogang. Su Sanjia exposes Yu Xiaogang’s abandonment of Liu Erlong before killing him despite Bibi Dong’s intervention 118 121.

Rakshasa Bargain and Loss of Office

Yu Xiaogang’s death turns Bibi Dong’s grief into vengeance. She attacks Su Sanjia without regard for her own safety, loses an arm to Chen Xin, and reveals her second Martial Soul. Neither her poisonous spikes nor Eternal Wound defeats Su Sanjia 122 123.

She temporarily allies with Tang Hao and the Clear Sky Sect against their common enemy. After further defeats leave her with less than thirty percent of her original combat strength, she accepts the Rakshasa God’s terms and summons the Rakshasa Scythe. The weapon destroys Su Sanjia’s Kusanagi Sword and forces him to recognize her as a genuine threat 127 128 131 132.

The worshippers subsequently vote to strip her of the papacy. Golden Crocodile makes clear that the decision is an order, not a negotiation. Qian Daoliu later restores her because no suitable replacement is available and because she is Qian Renxue’s mother; he does not realize that she has already sacrificed her daughter’s interests in her dealings with Rakshasa 135 149.

Slaughter City and Seclusion

After regaining office, Bibi Dong pursues Su Sanjia to Slaughter City. She expects her Divine Slaughter’s Domain to give her an advantage where ordinary Soul Masters cannot use Soul Skills. Finding him locked in a prolonged duel with Tang Chen, she attempts a scythe ambush while he is momentarily dazed 149 154 155.

With Slaughter City’s restrictions destroyed, she abandons the attempt rather than risk another defeat. She resolves to seek revenge only after becoming the Rakshasa God, then retreats into cultivation and neglects daily administration. The Worship Hall takes over part of the Papal Palace’s authority during her withdrawal 156 161 172.

Twilight of the Gods and Death

The Rakshasa God alters Bibi Dong’s trials for Twilight of the Gods. After reaching Limit Douluo, she learns that Su Sanjia has already become a god. She accelerates the war against Star Luo and mobilizes Spirit Hall’s intelligence network to identify divine inheritors, arranging attacks even on those who avoid the battlefield 172 180 191.

Bibi Dong initially waits in hiding, refusing to rescue Qian Renxue when her daughter faces death. Once revealed, she attacks indiscriminately, slaughtering divine inheritors and unleashing Demon Spiders against soldiers, Soul Masters, and her own allies. Her actions split Spirit Hall into Papal Palace loyalists and Worship Hall opponents, while former enemies unite against her 192 194 195.

Cornered by Qian Daoliu and Bo Saixi, she bargains away half of her future divine soul for more power. In her final confrontation with Su Sanjia, she combines over a thousand clones with Demon Spider Hell. He destroys the spider army in roughly five seconds, identifies her true body, and kills her with a Light-Speed Kick. Her body and the Rakshasa Scythe turn to ash 197 199 200.

Appearance

Bibi Dong initially has flawless pale skin, exquisitely beautiful features, and cold violet eyes. Her purple-gold papal robe, crown, and ornate scepter emphasize her ceremonial authority. After embracing Rakshasa power, her beauty gives way to a gaunt, sinister face with sunken cheeks 49 149.

  • Death Spider Emperor transformation: Purple facial patterns, poison gas, eight spear-like spider legs, a swollen spider abdomen replacing her lower body, and more than a dozen compound eyes 118.
  • Rakshasa markings: Spread across her face and eventually nearly her entire body as she accepts greater divine corruption 131 132.
  • Severed arm: Lost to Chen Xin during the Spirit City battle; she stops the bleeding with Rakshasa Divine Power 122.
  • Later attire: A purple mask conceals her altered face; as empress, she wears a modified papal crown 172 180.
  • Voice after her transformation: Hoarse and grating, compared to a broken bellows 149.

Personality

Bibi Dong is initially composed, authoritative, and calculating. She values exceptional talent, uses intelligence networks to assess rival powers, and recognizes the practical importance of investing in strong subordinates. Even after much of her humanity has eroded, she rewards Chrysanthemum and Ghost Douluo with Soul Bones because increased combat strength matters more to her than hoarded resources 49 173.

Her attachment to Yu Xiaogang repeatedly overrides that judgment. She grants him disproportionate authority, refuses to investigate his conduct, and prioritizes his feelings over the tournament team’s safety. His death destroys her imagined future with him and becomes the central motive for her vendetta against Su Sanjia 99 114 121 122.

Rakshasa power progressively erodes her concern for family, followers, and the continent. She eventually regards mass slaughter as acceptable and declares that Spirit Hall should never have existed. Nevertheless, she retains a survival instinct: after repeated failures against Su Sanjia, she retreats from Slaughter City rather than gamble her life before attaining godhood 156 194 195.

Abilities & Skills

Twin Martial Souls

  • Death Spider Emperor: Her first Martial Soul; grants a demonic spider transformation and poison-based attacks 118 122.
  • Soul Devouring Spider Emperor: Her second Martial Soul; possesses an innate defense-ignoring property 123.
  • Documented ring configurations: 118 122 180
Martial Soul Configuration at Spirit City Later Development

Soul Devouring Spider Emperor Six black, one red 122 Full ring set completed before her level 99 appearance; final ages are not specified 180

Death Spider Emperor Techniques

  • Sixth Soul Skill — Bloodsucking Spider Thorns: Produces tens of thousands of poisonous spikes for a wide-area attack. They pierce Su Sanjia while he is slowed by Bipolar Static Field, but his Elementalization repairs the damage 122.
  • Seventh Soul Skill — Death Spider Emperor True Body: Manifests the Spider Emperor’s full form; used during her indiscriminate battlefield assault 122 194.
  • Eighth Soul Skill — Spider Emperor Avatar: Creates a Soul Power clone with an aura identical to her own 122.

Eternal Wound

The Soul Devouring Spider Emperor’s sixth Soul Skill produces an X-shaped green blade carrying permanent soul-devouring poison 123.

  • Ignores physical defense and fifty percent of energy defense 56 123.
  • Even a small wound can allow the poison to drain its victim 123.
  • Su Sanjia initially identifies it as a potential threat, but his later advancement renders it ineffective against him 56 123.

Rakshasa Divine Power

  • Divine enhancement: Supplies power beyond ordinary Soul Power and allows her evil aura to contend with Su Sanjia’s Ultimate Light domain 121 132.
  • Injury control: Stops bleeding from her severed arm 122.
  • Battlefield advantage: The evil atmosphere of mass warfare strengthens her Rakshasa-enhanced combat performance 195.
  • Extreme darkness: Can devour light rather than being automatically defeated by angelic power 198.
  • Final bargain: One-third of the Rakshasa God’s power raises her to approximately level 99.9 in exchange for half of her soul after godhood 197.
  • Limit: Despite power capable of rivaling a Third-Level God, she remains below full godhood and cannot overcome Su Sanjia 197 199 200.

Divine Slaughter’s Domain

  • Bibi Dong possesses the domain and understands its value within Slaughter City 149.
  • She plans to exploit the city’s Soul Skill restrictions against Su Sanjia and prevent him from obtaining the domain himself 149.

Infinite Clones

Granted by her Hundred-Thousand-Year Myriad Self Spider Emperor Trunk Bone 199.

  • Creates more than a thousand clones at her near-divine level of strength 199.
  • Conceals her true body well enough that neither Qian Daoliu nor Bo Saixi can distinguish it 199.
  • Consumes a massive quantity of Soul Power 199.
  • Fails to evade Su Sanjia’s perception and targeting 199 200.

Demon Spider Hell

  • Creates Demon Spiders that slaughter living targets; victims’ bodies produce additional spiders 195.
  • The initial expanding swarm reaches roughly ten thousand, with even its weaker spiders possessing Soul King-level combat strength 195.
  • Combined with Infinite Clones, produces an army of Soul Saint-level spiders comparable in number to the armies of the three kingdoms 199.
  • Su Sanjia’s divine Eight-Footed Magatama destroys the final swarm in roughly five seconds 199.

Intelligence and Command

  • Directs Spirit Hall’s continent-wide intelligence network and uses planted agents to monitor major factions 49.
  • Assigns Gui Mei to investigate Su Sanjia’s cultivation, Soul Skills, and Soul Bones 49 90.
  • Uses papal authority to influence tournament rulings and public accusations 107 116.
  • Identifies divine inheritors across the continent and organizes attacks on those absent from the final battlefield 191.

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Purple-gold papal scepter — Ornate ceremonial staff carried during her rule as Pope 49.
  • Papal robe and crown — Purple-gold vestments; her later imperial crown is a modified papal crown 49 180.
  • Purple mask — Conceals facial abnormalities caused by Rakshasa cultivation 172 180.
  • Rakshasa Scythe — Genuine divine artifact that suppresses light and sacred attributes. It destroys Su Sanjia’s original Kusanagi Sword but consumes enough Soul Power to exhaust the injured Bibi Dong; it is destroyed with her at death 132 134 200.
  • Hundred-Thousand-Year Myriad Self Spider Emperor Trunk Bone — Grants Infinite Clones, her final revealed trump card 199.

Relationships

  • Yu Xiaogang — Beloved man and favored honorary elder. She restores his position, funds his cultivation, and supports his tournament schemes; his death drives her into obsessive vengeance 81 99 121 122.
  • Qian Renxue — Daughter. Bibi Dong initially retains buried maternal affection but later bargains away her daughter’s interests, refuses to rescue her, and attacks without regard for their bond 131 149 192 194.
  • Qian Xunji — Qian Renxue’s father and the source of Bibi Dong’s hatred toward the Angel lineage; once imprisoned her 131 172.
  • Rakshasa God — Divine patron who alters her trials, grants the Rakshasa Scythe, and exploits her desperation through increasingly costly bargains 132 172 197.
  • Su Sanjia — Initially a recruitment target, later her principal enemy and eventual killer 49 99 200.
  • Gui Mei / Ghost Douluo — Investigator and loyal subordinate. Despite earlier dissatisfaction, he remains with her during the Papal Palace’s final rebellion 49 114 173 195.
  • Yue Guan / Chrysanthemum Douluo — Loyal subordinate entrusted with the Papal Palace during her absence; supports her alongside Gui Mei even during her indiscriminate massacre 149 173 195.
  • Qian Daoliu — Superior authority within Spirit Hall. Oversees her removal, later gives her another chance, and ultimately joins Bo Saixi against her 135 149 195.
  • Golden Crocodile Douluo — Enforces the worshippers’ decision to remove her and later leads the opposing Worship Hall faction 135 195.
  • Hu Liena — Disciple and Golden Generation member. Notices Bibi Dong’s changed behavior after Yu Xiaogang’s arrival; dies with the tournament team 81 115 116.
  • Xiao Wu — Enemy whose mother Bibi Dong killed. Bibi Dong injures her and orders her seizure after Xiao Wu recognizes her 118.
  • Chen Xin and Ning Fengzhi — Opponents who protect Su Sanjia and obstruct her rescue of Yu Xiaogang; Chen Xin severs her arm 121 122.
  • Tang Hao — Long-standing enemy turned temporary ally against Su Sanjia. Their cooperation collapses when he attacks her after Tang Xiao’s death 128 134.
  • Bo Saixi — Fellow Limit Douluo who joins Qian Daoliu against her; critically wounded by Bibi Dong’s empowered scythe strike 195 197.
