Organization

War God Hall is a major Federation-supported organization based in Bright Capital. Unlike financially independent factions such as the Tang Sect and Spirit Pagoda, its funding is supplied by the Federation and its spending is subject to Federation regulations. Its resources nevertheless extend across much of the continent. 14 15

The Hall's members, the War Gods, undertake missions across the continent. Chen Xinjie can recall all of them to Bright Capital for urgent deliberations, including members pursuing threats such as the Holy Spirit Cult. 11

Although Yun Feng's successor status made her the Hall's foremost protected asset, she later left Bright Capital without authorization and began acting independently. Her subsequent public activities—including her appearance as Zhenhua's blacksmith disciple—eventually brought her whereabouts back to the Hall's attention. 49 50 100

After Yun Feng returned, Chen Xinjie and Guan Yue reassessed the need for close protection. They concluded that she had become strong enough to defend herself, while continuing to monitor possible threats to her safety. 107

The Hall also receives reports concerning unusual soul beast activity. When informed that Demon Soul Great White Sharks had appeared near the North Sea, possibly in connection with Devil Island, Chen Xinjie ordered an immediate investigation. The same round of reports notified the leadership of Holy Spirit Douluo Ya Li's impending visit. 107

Leadership and Personnel

• Chen Xinjie — Hall Master; personally tested Yun Feng at the Blood God Legion and named her his successor. He also commands the Sea God Legion. 6 11 88

• War God Hall provides accommodation and protection for Yun Feng's entire family within its Bright Capital headquarters. 14
• It offered Tang Ziran assistance with mecha design and Lang Yue access to Shi Mengshan's pharmacological expertise, while respecting their decision not to discuss their past careers. 14
• Guan Yue arranged for Tang Wulin to receive a recommendation to Sun Moon Imperial Soul Master Academy, subject to the academy's assessment. 14

Yun Feng's Succession

War God Hall first took notice of Yun Feng after Aolai City reported her innate full soul power and Golden Dragon Spear martial soul. Following Ao Rui's recommendation, Nangong Yi and Jiang Zhanheng personally recruited her and promised to provide her with the best education in Bright Capital. 3

The discovery that Yun Feng wielded both the Golden Dragon Spear and Silver Dragon Spear caused nearly every War God to return to headquarters. Both weapons exerted supreme dragon might and could devour life energy. 4

Chen Xinjie regarded Yun Feng as a potential answer to the Hall's lack of a younger-generation pillar. He brought her to the Blood God Legion to verify whether her power could be used against the Abyss, despite strong objections from several War Gods concerned for her safety. 6

At the Legion, Yun Feng's Golden Dragon Spear destroyed Abyss creatures and transformed their abyssal energy into life energy rather than allowing it to return to the Abyss Plane. Her actions earned her the title “Golden Dragon Princess.” 8 9

After returning to Bright Capital, Chen Xinjie convened all War Gods and publicly declared Yun Feng the next-generation successor to the Hall Master position. Though Long Tianwu initially considered the appointment premature, the War Gods unanimously supported it after Chen Xinjie revealed Yun Feng's ability to devour abyssal energy. 11

The Hall initially sought to keep Yun Feng within Bright Capital under close supervision, rejecting her request to leave for independent experience. However, she ultimately escaped its protection and spent nearly three years away from the organization. 48 49 50 94

Her return marked a change in the leadership's assessment: Chen Xinjie and Guan Yue acknowledged that she could now protect herself. During Sun Moon Imperial Soul Master Academy's graduation assessment, Chen Xinjie praised her spiritual strength as exceeding that of many Federation Titled Douluo, while Guan Yue and Yun Ming recognized that she had already perfected an independent path of spear cultivation. 107 127

Yun Feng's true identity remained concealed from the Hall. After surviving the ambush outside Heaven Dou City, the Dark Blood Demon inferred that she was a soul beast and privately regarded the Hall's selection of such a successor as absurd. His deduction was not presented as a discovery by War God Hall itself. 86

Yun Feng subsequently revealed eight soul rings—six black and two red—during the Federation delegation's visit to Monster Academy. Her growing standing also attracted political attention from the Star Luo Empire, which publicly granted her the title Golden Spirit Princess; the delegation's guards suspected an attempt to win her over or create discord with the Federation. 163

• Federation — Provides War God Hall's funding and political backing. The Federation Speaker personally visited Yun Feng after learning of her potential against the Abyss. 11 14

Despite the Hall's monitoring of the Holy Spirit Cult, Chen Xinjie did not possess a complete account of Yun Feng's confrontation with its members during her absence. At the academy graduation assessment, he and Yun Ming speculated that the Dark Blood Demon and Dark Bell might have died in the earlier battle that injured Long Chen and Xue Liushuang, attributing their possible defeat to an unidentified hero. 126

Hu Jie later warned Yun Feng that involvement with a member of the Qian Gu Clan could be politically dangerous because of the Spirit Pagoda's controversial conduct and the expectations placed upon her by War God Hall, Shrek Academy, and the Tang Sect. Yun Feng acknowledged the risks. 155
