Background / History

Spirit Hall was responsible for the pursuit of Tang Hao, Ah Yin, and their infant child under the former Pope, Qian Xunji. Qian Xunji refused Ah Yin's offer to surrender herself in exchange for Tang Hao and the child, forcing her to sacrifice her soul; the conflict culminated in Tang Hao's ring detonation destroying the Martial Soul Avatars of the participating Spirit Hall powerhouses and gravely injuring Qian Xunji. 5 12

Under Bibi Dong, Spirit Hall is divided between the Pope faction and Consecration Hall. The Consecration Hall holds authority over major appointments, including the Pope, Holy Son, and Holy Maiden; Bibi Dong later exploits the fallout of the Martial Soul Tournament to seize part of its practical power. 1 39

In the Black World, Spirit Hall recruits Tang Chuan after Qian Daoliu recognizes his potential. The Grand Worshiper grants him a special token marking him as a Holy Son candidate, with status and resources beyond those of a core disciple; Tang Chuan formally enters Spirit Hall after rejecting his Clear Sky Sect heritage. 38 39

Recruitment and treatment of talent

Spirit Hall treats exceptional unaffiliated soul masters as strategic assets. A local hall master considers himself unqualified to recruit Lan Yin directly because she may be a Titled Douluo, stating that only the Pope or Titled-Douluo worship elders may properly extend such an invitation. 28

Tang Chuan's Holy Son candidate status places him within the Golden Generation, grants treatment above that of a core disciple, and gives him standing comparable to most elders below Titled Douluo rank. 39

Martial soul awakening

Spirit Hall revamped the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Elite Tournament into the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Soul Fighting Tournament, opening participation to soul masters under twenty-five from both academies and clans. It built an arena capable of holding tens of thousands of spectators for the event. 21

The first tournament's championship prize consisted of one hundred-thousand-year soul bone and six ten-thousand-year soul bones. Spirit Hall fielded teams led by its Holy Son and Holy Maiden, making both teams leading championship contenders. 21
