Background

Zhu Zhuqing is the noble second daughter of the Zhu Family and Dai Mubai’s fiancée. She considers herself abandoned by both her family and fiancé, and initially fears that her connection to Luo Yihe could endanger him through the Star Luo Empire. 12 66

Before meeting Luo Yihe and Xiao Chenghe, she faced hostility and hardship by enduring in silence. Their attention and support unsettle her self-image: while she recognizes their talent and potential, she doubts whether she can remain worthy of standing beside them in the future. 12

Personality

Zhu Zhuqing is intensely proud and stubborn. When subjected to overwhelming pressure from Mu En, she refused to kneel or submit despite being injured badly enough to faint. Her pride also suffers after she repeatedly loses Mu Chenglong’s combat trials, leaving her depressed over the gap between herself and stronger peers. 9 11

Her confidence initially coexists with a deep inferiority complex. She believes Luo Yihe and Xiao Chenghe will become the continent’s brightest stars while she will fall behind, but her experiences in the bamboo-grove training space transform that insecurity into determination. Meeting Luo Yihe

Zhu Zhuqing first encounters Luo Yihe during the hotel conflict involving Dai Mubai. Luo Yihe teases her, grabs her hand without consent, and later carries her away while fleeing; she responds with anger and resistance. 9

When Mu En’s pressure bears down on the group, Zhu Zhuqing stubbornly resists rather than kneeling. Luo Yihe teleports to her side, shields her with his soul ring, and catches her after she faints from the strain. 9

She subsequently trains with Luo Yihe and Xiao Chenghe under Mu Chenglong’s guidance for seven days, but her poor performance in the combat trials intensifies her feelings of inadequacy. 11 12

Breakthrough and Third Soul Ring

While Luo Yihe undergoes a breakthrough, Zhu Zhuqing witnesses a vision of another version of herself beside a saintlike future Luo Yihe. She later trains against alternate versions of herself in the bamboo grove, gaining a new understanding of cultivation and combat. 25 26
