Qin Yun recovered Bright Sun's Remnant Flame from the Lost Flame and placed it within his grandson Qin Tianlin. The remnant flame allowed Qin Tianlin to plunder other professionals' professions, while also containing an unknown spiritual fragment. 311

Bright Sun's consciousness survived Qin Yun's attempt to seal it. When Qin Tianlin was killed by Black Pagoda, Bright Sun denied responsibility and revealed that Qin Yun had violated their agreement: Qin Yun was supposed to provide a Divine Radiance-level vessel, but instead had placed Bright Sun in Qin Tianlin's body and attempted to turn him into nourishment. 323

Qin Yun, Qing Cang, and Peng King later escorted Bright Sun to the Bronze Church for a Fire Induction ritual. During the ritual, Bright Sun witnessed an unidentified figure enter the violet flames and apparently summon the Spirit of the Bright Sun, an intrusion that shocked the observing Ancient Kings and researchers. 337 347

Bright Sun became convinced that the intruder was connected to the Spirit of the Bright Sun's recognition. He used fragmentary Taixu power to deduce the person's identity, but the deduction collapsed; unwilling to reveal his suspicions to the other Ancient Kings, he continued pursuing the matter privately. 356

Bright Sun usually manifests as a humanoid projection surrounded by dense violet flames. His eyes are repeatedly described as indifferent, and his unusual projected body can observe in every direction. 347 356
