Background / History

Xiao Le is a transmigrated high-school student from Earth and Xiao Yan's twin brother. Soon after gaining the ability to view, download, alter, bestow, and sacrifice traits, he attempted to download Xiao Yan's rainbow-quality Protagonist Halo. The attempt left him with only a blue-quality fragment while draining his cultivation and vitality; he spent nearly four years recovering to the Third Stage of Dou Qi. At fifteen or sixteen, he and Xiao Yan were publicly derided as the “fallen twin stars.” 1

His circumstances changed after he discovered that magic beast cores and corpses contained downloadable bloodlines, beast souls, cultivation arts, and battle skills. Unlike downloading traits from living people, extracting entries from objects he touched did not consume his energy. He used the ability extensively throughout Wutan City and the Mittel Auction House, amassing cultivation resources far beyond the Xiao Family's existing foundation. 3 5

Xiao Le converted earth-attributed quasi-Earth-tier entries from an Earth Shield Lizard core into wind-attributed techniques, then bestowed them and a Wind Shield Lizard Blood Spirit upon Xiao Zhan. During the Jia Ma Assembly, Xiao Le defeated several Misty Cloud Sect disciples but was ultimately defeated by Yun Jingfeng after breaking through under extreme pressure. He later survived an ambush on the journey back to Wutan City by using a damaged seventh-tier magic core to temporarily contend with stronger attackers. Xiao Le returned in time to help Xiao Yan and the Xiao Family defeat the Jia Lie and Oba Clans. After leaving Wutan City to gain experience, Xiao Le traveled with Little Fairy Doctor through Qingshan Town and the Magic Beast Mountain Range. He rejected Hu Wei's recruitment offer, killed Hu Wei while rescuing Little Fairy Doctor, and obtained the incomplete Divine Silkworm Technique. He later stole the Tiger Fist Ring and its Bright-Grease Jade Marrow from Hu Feng, securing a vital material for that technique. 38 40 45

After learning that the Divine Silkworm Technique could advance through breaking and rebuilding the body, Xiao Le endured a series of life-threatening battles against Hu Feng, mercenary forces, and a Dou Ling sent by Yun Leng. Xiao Le then traveled to Stone Desert City, reunited with his elder brothers Xiao Ding and Xiao Li, and supported the Desert Metal Mercenary Group. He protected Qinglin from discrimination over her snake-person heritage, recognized her Triple Jade-Green Snake Flower Pupils and Heavenly Snake Bloodline, and entrusted her care to Xiao Li. 59 60 61

While investigating the Snake-People Tribe, Xiao Le used the remnant Medusa aura within him to enter Medusa Palace. He later obtained the Green Lotus Core Flame, developed its lightning counterpart, Green Lotus Core Thunder, and became entangled with Queen Medusa. When Qinglin was abducted by the Mo Family, Xiao Le joined Xiao Yan and Hai Bodong to rescue her; after their battle against the Eight-Winged Black Serpent Emperor, Xiao Le gave the surrendered beast to Qinglin as protection. 62 66 70 72

In the Chu Yun Empire, Xiao Le fought for the Poison Sect in the Poison Tournament and defeated She Taiyi despite sustaining severe poison damage. He is opportunistic and resourceful, treating magic cores, inheritances, and cultivation techniques as resources to be collected, modified, exchanged, or sacrificed. This pragmatism extends to business: he sold copied manuals for 670,000 gold coins, used the proceeds to fund cultivation medicine, and built Hundred Joy Hall into a source of influence and magical cores. 5 7 9
