Background

Xuan Liu was originally Ye Xuanliu, a frail twenty-first-century college student. He transmigrated into the Primordial World at the beginning of the Lich Tribulation and was reborn as the World-Purifying Divine Willow on an East Sea immortal island. 1

After his true spirit fused with the divine willow, he received Heaven-Defying Comprehension, which let him perceive the workings of heaven and earth with unusual clarity. Rather than study external laws first, he used it on his own body and created the Willow God Art. 1
