Background

Tongtian established the Interception Sect on Golden Ao Island after the Three Pure Ones parted ways. His doctrine is to “teach without discrimination,” opening a path of survival for beings otherwise excluded by the cold order of the Heavenly Dao. At the height of his sect’s recruitment, ten thousand immortals gathered at Golden Ao Island to seek entry. 2 3

Before accepting Xuan Liu, Tongtian had four personal disciples: Duobao Daoist, Golden Spirit Holy Mother, Unyielding Holy Mother, and Turtle Spirit Holy Mother.
