Li Nian vs. Doctor Octopus

With that, a massive mechanical tentacle flipped a car into the restaurant.

Using his Spider-Sense and agile reflexes, Peter hugged Mary Jane and dodged the attack. Li Nian simply phased out, making him impossible to hit.

People on the street scattered in panic. Watching the scene unfold, Mary Jane had no idea what was happening. She merely curled up in Peter's arms, staring in terror at what came next.

"Peter!" Doctor Otto approached Peter with a slow, sinister grin. "And his girlfriend."

"What do you want?" Peter stared sternly into Doctor Otto's face, his gaze like that of someone facing a ferocious tiger.

Peter had always respected this teacher, and he also felt heartbroken over his descent into darkness. But one thing was one thing—Peter could neither forgive nor ever forgive Doctor Otto for kidnapping Aunt May. She was his only family!

Otto did not waste words with him. A tentacle shot out from behind him and clamped around Peter's neck. Peter wanted to dodge, but Mary Jane was right beside him. He did not want the woman he loved to be hurt.

"I want you to find Spider-Man!" Doctor Otto dragged Peter in front of him and spoke viciously. He was no longer himself, having completely transformed into a monster!

Boom!

Otto flung Peter away, smashing him heavily into the restaurant wall. Fortunately, he had not used much force. An ordinary person would probably have been killed by that impact.

But Peter was no ordinary person. After a brief daze, he slowly climbed up from the ground, only to see Otto preparing to leave with Mary Jane.

"Let her go!" Peter roared in fury and charged forward, no longer caring whether his identity would be exposed. He had only one thought now—save the woman he loved!

"Hey! Doctor Octopus, why do you only have four tentacles? Don't octopuses have eight?"

At that moment, a teasing voice sounded beside Doctor Otto's ear. His expression changed. He had not expected anyone to dare approach him and say something like that. Did this person not fear death?

Doctor Otto turned around, only for a hard fist with a metallic gleam to fill his vision. It slammed into his broad face, shattering his sunglasses to pieces. They fell to the ground together with spurts of blood from his nose.

"Doctor Otto, they say octopuses have three hearts. I don't know whether that's true," Li Nian said coldly as he slowly floated into the air and withdrew his fist. "Perhaps I'll have to ask you for advice!"

"Bastard!" Otto raged. He had not expected someone to interfere halfway through.

"Baboon-Man! I remember you! You nearly ruined my plans last time too!" Doctor Otto snarled. Yet upon hearing that, Li Nian's expression became equally savage.

"My name is Vision! Don't just make up names for people! Especially such awful names!"

Li Nian simply could not understand how people in this world thought. No matter what, how could he possibly be associated with a baboon? Even if his face was red, how did that connect him to a monkey's butt? Were their thought processes really that bizarre?

Li Nian's face darkened as he silently decided that, when he had the time, he would definitely have a nice drink with Jonathan, the owner of the Daily Bugle!

Doctor Otto's tentacles attacked instantly. Li Nian did not even dodge, standing there as he prepared to take Otto's heavy blow head-on.

"Idiot!" Otto sneered at the sight. He had put all his strength into this attack. Even if Spider-Man took that hit, he would have to lie on the ground struggling for a while, let alone...

Doctor Otto grinned maliciously. A spike suddenly emerged from the tip of his tentacle, sharp and hard. This was Otto's prized weapon. Once it pierced someone through, there was no chance of survival!

He could practically see Li Nian's body being impaled, see him lying on the ground and wailing in agony, begging to be spared.

Crack! Crack!

"Ha ha!" Doctor Otto seemed to hear the sound of Li Nian's bones being shattered, and he could not stop himself from laughing!

"What are you laughing at?"

"Huh?!" A calm voice pulled Doctor Otto from his fantasy back into reality. "Th-this is impossible!" He stared in disbelief at the completely unharmed Li Nian. His steel spike should have pierced him. He had even heard the sound of ribs breaking just now. How could...

"Stop looking. The quality of your weapon really isn't very good." Li Nian could tell what he was thinking from his expression and helplessly pointed at the steel spike lying on the ground.

But Otto could not really be blamed for that. After all, this world did not have indestructible Vibranium!

Doctor Otto stared blankly at the steel spike, now shattered into several pieces. He could not imagine a person's body being so hard. Hmm... no!

"You're not human!" Doctor Otto suddenly realized. Judging from all the abilities he had displayed before, this thing in front of him was not human at all!

"Uh..." Li Nian's face darkened even further upon hearing that. Even though he knew Otto was not insulting him, why did it sound so unpleasant?

Doctor Otto knew he was no match for Li Nian. He gave up on kidnapping Mary Jane and fled the scene alone in a sorry state.

"We can't let him get away!" Spider-Man, now changed into his costume, arrived belatedly and shouted anxiously at Li Nian before rushing after Doctor Otto.

The two ran and fought all the way, trading punches and kicks. They even damaged a clock tower.

Looking at the destruction caused by their fight, Li Nian could only think of one thing: that was all money! He suddenly felt that Stark's decision to establish Damage Control had been very wise.

The two continued their fierce battle and fell onto a speeding train together. The passengers felt the vibrations on the roof and looked around in confusion, having no idea what was happening.

Peter and Otto fought their way from the roof to the side of the train, battling against the windows under the passengers' watchful eyes. Both were filled with fury, determined to take the other down.

Peter let his guard down for a moment and was caught by Otto's mechanical tentacle. He was thrown straight into the carriage, the tentacle still wrapped around his waist as it flung him back and forth like a toy to be played with.

However, Peter immediately came up with a response. He broke free in an instant and used his webbing to return outside the train. But Doctor Otto began playing hide-and-seek with him, catching Peter off guard and knocking him off the train with one strike.

"Ah!" Peter cried out, only to feel as though he had landed in someone's arms.

"You should thank me!" Li Nian caught the flying Peter in time, accelerated, and threw him back onto the train. Then he faced Doctor Otto himself.

One person might not be able to take down Otto, but two against one was easy.

Li Nian fired a laser blast that knocked Otto back, nearly sending him falling off the train.

"Dammit!" Doctor Otto cursed furiously. He had not expected the two of them to gang up on him in the name of justice. But then Otto flashed an evil smile, slipping his tentacles into the carriage, grabbing two people at random, and throwing them out.

"I've got them!" Peter hurriedly fired webs and launched himself out of the train. He had to save those two innocent people.

"That's his weakness—he's too merciful!" Otto shouted wildly. He secretly extended a tentacle into the driver's cabin, intending to send the entire train to its doom.

Li Nian had known this would happen and had already made preparations. This time, he could not let things turn out like Sokovia!
