Background

Peter lives with his Aunt May and carries Uncle Ben's lesson—“With great power comes great responsibility”—as the foundation of his identity as Spider-Man. He considers May his remaining family and repeatedly puts himself at risk to protect her and other civilians 20 22.

Before Li Nian enters his universe, Peter loses his friendship with Harry Osborn, sees Mary Jane become engaged to another man, and suddenly loses his spider powers.
