With that in mind, he decided not to wait any longer and directly sent word back to Primordial Simplicity that he had considered the matter. Whether it was the Dao struggle or the Dao Fruit, neither was something he could involve himself in. Thus, he had no wish to join the Golden Court and only wanted to cultivate in peace.
If Celestial Xia emerged victorious in the end and the Golden Court obtained the Dao Fruit, that would naturally be best. If Primordial Unity Celestial Palace won, then there was nothing to be done. This self could simply admit defeat; another self of his would still continue on the Origin Xia side.
