Xie Xie arrived at Eastsea Academy as a talented but arrogant new student. He initially treated his dorm mates condescendingly, only to be overwhelmed by Hei Lin's killing intent and aura; Long Hengxu subsequently reprimanded him for relying on his family background and talent to look down on others 34 35.

His fear of Bai Lin gradually became respect. During Class Five's training and promotion challenges, he came to view Bai Lin as the group's indispensable backbone, while retaining a strong desire to prove that he could stand on his own 51 59.

Personality

Xie Xie is proud, competitive, and theatrically self-confident. He regularly boasts about his looks, skill, and future victories, particularly when trying to impress Xu Xiaoyan or provoke rivals 385 397 401.

Behind the bravado, he is loyal and resilient. He fought Su Mu despite the unfavorable matchup, endured severe internal injuries to secure victory, and later volunteered for the dangerous investigation of Spirit Continent as a responsibility of the Shrek Seven Monsters 238 361.

He joins Bai Lin and Gu Yue in Wu Changkong's special training, where the three are required to challenge their Soul Emperor teacher together. Xie Xie is disarmed early in their first battle, exposing the gap between his speed-focused style and a veteran expert's skill 54 55.

Zero Class and Shrek Academy

As part of Zero Class, Xie Xie trains through the Spirit Ascension Platform and class advancement tournaments. He becomes a reliable agile attacker in Bai Lin and Gu Yue's formations, using his speed to exploit openings created by their overwhelming offense and control 71 112.

Bai Lin's Slumber and the Spirit Continent Mission

When Hei Lin reveals that Bai Lin is “sleeping,” Xie Xie struggles with the unfamiliar personality before him but resolves to become stronger for Bai Lin's sake 302.

He later leads his companions on a covert mission to Spirit Continent. After being pursued by Blood Demon, he chooses to counterattack rather than surrender, and is ultimately saved by Bai Lin's distant divine intervention 361 382 383.

Time-Space Dragon King

After his Martial Soul evolves into the Space-Time Dragon, Bai Lin grants him the inheritance of the Time Dragon King and Space Dragon King. Xie Xie becomes the new Time-Space Dragon King and begins wielding time-space laws on a vastly greater scale 390 392.

Godhood

Inspired by the divine paths of Bai Lin and Yue Zhengyu, Xie Xie enters seclusion to pursue godhood 484. He ultimately ascends as the God of Time and Space, inspiring his remaining companions to pursue the divine realm as well 502.

Parallel-Universe Side Story

In a parallel timeline, an elderly quasi-god Xie Xie waits for a century on Sea God Island for Tang Wulin's return, convinced that his friend will one day awaken from the Far North's ice 512.

Bai Lin from another universe finds him near death, restores his youthful vitality long enough for him to share his memories, and preserves his soul before sending it ten thousand years into the future 513 514.
