By the time Tang Wulin and Gu Yue walked out of the valley, it was already dark.

Tang Wulin suddenly asked, "Do you want to go see them?"

Gu Yue looked puzzled. "Why would we go see them?"

Tang Wulin gave a mischievous smile. "It'll be interesting."

Holding her hand, Tang Wulin led her as they swiftly descended onto the shore.

Gu Yue immediately noticed the six people gritting their teeth and swimming forward through the Sea of Destruction.

Strangely, although they were all in the Sea of Destruction, none of them noticed one another.

Gu Yue raised a brow and spread out her spiritual power. Just as it was about to touch them, Tang Wulin stopped her. Holding her hand, he said, "This is one part of their training."

Gu Yue understood. "They're absorbing Destruction Power to temper their bodies? And the one trapping them is that ability called Nightmare?"

Tang Wulin nodded and explained, "In their minds, their lovers have been placed together with other people. If they can't fulfill the demands of those seven old demons, then their lovers will, under the influence of lust, be with other people..." He paused and did not continue.

Gu Yue asked, "Then what did you see in your previous life?"

Tang Wulin froze for a moment. "Me? I came alone, so naturally, all I could see was them swapping partners."

Only after saying it did Tang Wulin realize what he had said. He hurriedly added, "That's not what I meant..."

Gu Yue lowered her head and held his hand. "I'm sorry."

Tang Wulin said helplessly, "How could this be your fault? Besides, didn't we agree not to mention those things anymore?"

Old Demon Nightmare snorted coldly. "Kid, do you have any idea how much of a commotion you two caused?"

Tang Wulin apologized, "I'm really sorry. After all, we didn't have any experience."

"But now we understand the operating structure of Devil Island. As long as we simulate a similar magnetic field, you'll be able to move freely before the magnetic field dissipates."

Nightmare's eyes lit up. "You mean it!?"

Tang Wulin nodded. "But this still needs to be tested. Once the military training is over, I'll help you."

Nightmare burst into laughter. "Good! For your sake, I'll have to properly entertain those six little brats."

Tang Wulin's mouth twitched.

Gu Yue glanced at the six people still struggling in the Sea of Destruction and suddenly said, "Can I take part in the training?"

Tang Wulin was surprised. "Would any of this be useful to you?"

Gu Yue smiled faintly. "I mean, I'll be an instructor."

Tang Wulin and Nightmare exchanged glances, both smiling.

Xie Xie was already in unbearable agony under the erosion of the destructive aura.

As he swam, he had gradually begun to adapt to the pain. Then, a wave of pressure suddenly descended beside him. The Sea of Destruction abruptly became violent, the waves rising higher and higher. Xie Xie's eyes widened as he realized that the more he swam, the farther back he was being pushed!

Holding his breath, he burst from the waves and shouted as he continued forward. But the pressure grew stronger and stronger, until Xie Xie could even feel his Martial Soul trembling.

Pressure from a higher rank?! Xie Xie froze. In just one second of distraction, another enormous wave slammed him viciously into the seabed.

Destruction Power, increasing geometrically, drilled into his body.

Xie Xie's entire face twisted in pain. If his Martial Soul had not mutated into the Space-Time Dragon, he definitely would not have been able to endure this with the Twin Dragon Daggers alone.

Fine, dense transparent scales glimmered with pale blue light, protecting his body. Xie Xie struggled onward, until a faint glow ahead caught his attention.

When he saw what was happening, Xie Xie's entire body froze.

Ahead of him, countless chains formed from Destruction Power tightly bound someone he knew better than anyone—

Tang Wulin.

His eyes were closed. The increasingly faint Life Power around him was no longer able to resist the Destruction Power and was gradually dissipating.

Xie Xie roared soundlessly—No!

Nightmare's voice entered his ears, further stirring the rage and hatred in his heart.

"Look. If you don't work harder, not only will you fail to protect your lover, but you'll also fail to protect the captain you want to stand beside. Go forward! See those chains trapping him? If you can tear off one, I'll count it as you obtaining a Destruction Crystal!"

Xie Xie gritted his teeth and kept moving forward—at first, he was still using Soul Power and his Martial Soul to forcibly withstand the Destruction Power. But as his Soul Power ran dry, his sense of pain gradually went numb. In the end, he merely repeated the motion of swimming forward mechanically—his hands had long lost all feeling, and he did not know how many times the waves had pushed him back. Yet a single taut string remained in his mind, forcing him to squeeze out the last drop of his potential. An impassioned dragon roar rang out once more as Xie Xie roared, moving against the waves and charging toward Tang Wulin.

His hand clamped tightly around one of the chains binding Tang Wulin. An immeasurable amount of Destruction Power instantly flooded into his body. He trembled, yet still refused to release the chain. Even as his mind blurred, he would not let go.

"If you've got the guts, then kill me!" Xie Xie forced the words from his throat and tore apart the Chain of Destruction. In the instant before he lost consciousness, he still tried to grab Tang Wulin again, but the waves could only carry him farther and farther away.

A flash of silver light passed by.

The unconscious Xie Xie lay beside Tang Wulin and Gu Yue.

Then several more flashes of silver light appeared, and the Six Monsters landed beside them one after another—forming a neat row.

Tang Wulin covered his face. "What a spectacular sight."

Gu Yue said flatly, "This is more efficient."

Nightmare could not help clapping his hands. "Not bad. Little girl, you have potential."

Gu Yue narrowed her eyes and glanced at him. "Who are you calling little girl?"

The overwhelming pressure made Nightmare's expression change. He hurriedly pointed at Tang Wulin. "I'm calling him that. Him."

Tang Wulin was completely baffled.

Gu Yue withdrew her gaze and said, "Let them go through the illusion a few more times. Once they finish training, throw them directly into the Sea of Soul Beasts outside. Wulin and I will watch over them there."

Tang Wulin crouched down, enveloping the six people in Soul Power and helping them regulate their meridians as he sighed. "Sorry, partners, but this is all for your own good."

He withdrew his hand and stood up.

Silver light flashed. When the six regained consciousness, they had returned to the agonizing Sea of Destruction.

Tang Wulin watched the fire from the opposite shore, observing his half-dead self in the illusion with great interest. Suddenly, the smile vanished from his face.

"Gu Yue..." he called softly.

Gu Yue turned toward him. "What is it?"

Tang Wulin stared at her. "Your ability to fabricate illusions... is pretty impressive."

Gu Yue's expression stiffened. "..."

"It's not..." Unable to defend herself, she could only shake his hand in an attempt to calm him down. "It's been so long... Didn't we agree not to bring it up?"

Tang Wulin snorted coldly, fury rising in his eyes, though it was not directed at Gu Yue.

He gritted his teeth. "Qiangu Family..."

A chill ran down Gu Yue's spine. She silently mourned for the Qian Gu Family for a moment, then quickly changed the subject. "Let's go wait for them in the outer sea."

Tang Wulin choked on his anger, but he could not vent it at Gu Yue. He could only pull her close and kiss her fiercely before the two turned into a streak of light and descended into the Sea of Soul Beasts.

"Will you behave?" Tang Wulin stood on the head of an enormous sea Soul Beast, looking down at it.

Its head bobbed at incredible speed, as though it would start wagging its tail at any moment.

Tang Wulin lifted his foot. "Good. In a moment, listen to my commands."

On the other side, Gu Yue appeared to be strolling leisurely over the sea. Yet with every step she took, she stepped onto the heads of different sea Soul Beasts that had consciously risen to the surface.

The Silver Dragon King's innate suppression over Soul Beasts was displayed to the fullest at that moment. She merely swept her gaze over the trembling Soul Beasts, and they obediently dived beneath the water, preparing to follow her orders.

She lifted her beautiful eyes and saw six figures being thrown toward them from afar—faint halos surrounded them. Those were the illusions left behind by Nightmare.

Gu Yue and Tang Wulin exchanged a glance, the corners of their lips curling upward.

"The show begins."

Golden and silver light flashed at the same time. Before the six arrived, the two disappeared from above the sea.

And the first sight that greeted the dazed six, awakened by the icy seawater, was a variety of powerful sea Soul Beasts glaring at them with resentment in their eyes.

Although the six were immersed in their separate illusions and could not sense one another's presence, the same thought crossed all their minds—
