Gu Yue studied at Shrek Academy alongside Tang Wulin and the future Shrek Seven Monsters. By the start of the school term, she had reached five rings and was a key combatant in the team’s victories over older students, combining elemental attacks with her teammates’ control and assault roles 5 9.

Although she cared deeply for her Shrek companions, Gu Yue maintained ties to the Spirit Pagoda and initially declined to seek a permanent place among the Shrek Seven Monsters. She considered herself bound by her Spirit Pagoda identity, though she ultimately agreed to compete in doubles with Tang Wulin and later substituted for the injured Yue Zhengyu 15 19.
