Two months later.
Valley of Life.
A beam of light shot into the sky, drawing the powers of life and destruction into the air, where they swirled together.
Deep dragon roars echoed all around.
Tang Wulin's voice reached the ears of the seven old demons. "Release your spiritual power."
The seven old demons appeared in the air and poured their own power into the pillar of light.
The pillar linked with them. Under its mediation, the powers of life and destruction flowed steadily into their bodies.
The seven old demons' bodies became increasingly solid.
The pillar of light faded.
To their surprise, the seven old demons discovered that an additional power had appeared within them. It locked the powers of life and destruction in place, forming a cycle within their bodies and stabilizing their forms.
Tang Wulin appeared beside them, raised his hand, and flicked several Blue Silver Emperor vines around their wrists. At once, they felt the stabilizing force in their bodies become even more pronounced as it continuously drew in the surrounding energy.
Tang Wulin said, "As long as the Blue Silver Emperor doesn't wither, you only need to return to Devil Island before your energy runs out. Once you return, the Blue Silver Emperor will automatically absorb the surrounding power and recharge you. But if it breaks or withers, return to Devil Island immediately. Otherwise, you could easily dissipate."
The seven old demons looked at the Blue Silver Emperor on their wrists, glowing with a faint phosphorescence, their expressions complicated. "Thank you."
Tang Wulin smiled faintly.
Looking at the seven of them lounging about at ease, he asked, "Training's over?"
Greed chuckled. "That's right. Your progress has surpassed our expectations. Your generation of the Seven Monsters truly possesses extraordinary potential."
Tang Wulin said, "If you intend to leave Devil Island, you'll need to report your destination to the academy."
Naturally, the seven had no objections. Though they were merely soul bodies, their abilities were unusual. In the past, they had been unable to move about freely, but now that they could, the academy naturally had to assume a certain degree of guardianship responsibility.
Greed gave a sinister chuckle. "Their Devil Island training may be over, but that doesn't mean their military training is over. Wait for them outside the North Sea Legion."
With that, the seven vanished from the air.
Tang Wulin's gaze crossed the sea and locked directly onto the North Sea Legion.
In his previous life, the North Sea Legion had suffered a theft of soul-guided bombs, which they had happened to uncover. Back then, however, they had not found anything strange about it and had only assumed that someone had been blinded by greed.
But now that he had another chance, how could Tang Wulin let those people go?
He stroked his silver scale and established a connection with Gu Yue.
"What is it?" she responded quickly.
Tang Wulin said in a deep voice, "Any leads?"
Gu Yue replied, "There's still no progress for now."
Tang Wulin frowned. "That shouldn't be the case... If they intend to make a move, they should already be preparing by now."
Gu Yue said, "There haven't been any unusual capital movements in the Spirit Pagoda recently. But the Qian Gu Family itself has deep foundations, and the flow of its own funds isn't disclosed to the public. If they embezzle public funds under the family's name, then with the power they wield to cover the sky with one hand, the Spirit Pagoda has no ability to respond in time."
Tang Wulin knew this would be difficult, so he did not dwell on it. "How is your plan coming along?"
"It could have been released to the market long ago." Gu Yue's voice was calm. "But Qiangu Dongfeng has been suppressing the matter. He probably wants to strike at the Tang Sect and Shrek first, then promote the Myriad Beast Platform."
Tang Wulin said, "I'm going to make a trip to the North Sea Legion and speak with their legion commander. I'll let you know if there's any progress."
Gu Yue simply replied, "All right. Be careful."
The connection was severed.
The next instant, Tang Wulin vanished from the air.
North Sea Legion.
Shen Xing, a legion strategist, strolled along the shore and vigorously shook her head.
Lately, she had dreamed every night about someone coming to steal aircraft. The people who came were different every time.
There were both men and women.
Shen Xing had not slept well in a long time.
She rubbed her brow.
As she passed the soul-guided bomb storage warehouse from her dreams, Shen Xing suddenly felt like going in for a look.
Under layer upon layer of scans, she swiftly passed through the security measures with her high clearance and entered the warehouse.
Inside, three officers were conducting a routine inspection of the soul-guided bomb inventory.
Upon seeing Shen Xing, the three stood with their legs together and saluted. "Strategist!"
Shen Xing returned the salute, then swept her gaze over the storage racks and frowned. In her dream, she remembered there being four or five bombs stored here.
Though she was somewhat puzzled, she considered it only a dream and casually asked, "Where are the fixed-installation soul-guided bombs here?"
To her surprise, the expressions of all three men stiffened.
It was a very subtle reaction, but Shen Xing had not reached her current position through her family background alone.
She immediately sensed something was wrong, her gaze turning icy. "I'm talking to you! Bring me the register!"
The major at the front smiled ingratiatingly. "Yes, I'll get it right away."
The instant he turned around, he gave the other two a meaningful look.
The pair swiftly drew soul-guided tranquilizer guns and paralyzed Shen Xing before she could react.
Her eyes widened as she collapsed to the ground, all strength leaving her body.
The major walked to her side and coldly tore off her identification badge and access card.
"Notify the lower ranks immediately. We've been exposed. Withdraw at once."
"Take her with us." The major sneered coldly. "The legion commander's younger sister, the Shen Clan's treasured jewel. I'm sure she can fetch a good price."
Shen Xing struggled, but her strength after being tranquilized was like an ant trying to topple a tree against two trained soldiers.
Gritting her teeth, she said, "Put me down! If you dare use me to threaten the legion, then even if I die, I'll drag you down with me!"
The major remained indifferent, merely glancing at her. "Strategist, you have backbone. Unfortunately, you no longer have the right to order us around."
"Take her away!"
He gave the order and turned to leave.
A soft sigh fell beside his ear. The major's body hair immediately stood on end as he staggered back several steps. A golden spear had already embedded itself where he had been standing.
"Who are you?!" the major roared.
A tall, powerfully built, handsome man slowly approached. His fingertips rested on the spear. He did not display any particularly overwhelming aura, yet the major did not even dare look into his eyes.
The newcomer was none other than Tang Wulin.
"Put Strategist Shen down, then come with me," he said calmly.
The major snorted. "Playing tricks, are you? Do you know who stands behind us?! Ruin our plans, and you'll meet a miserable end!"
Tang Wulin tilted his head and could not help laughing. "Oh? Is that so?"
He slipped both hands into his pockets. Flecks of golden light lit up across his body as pieces of brilliant, translucent armor covered him from head to toe, flowing with dazzling radiance. The suddenly unleashed, tyrannical fluctuations made the major and his two companions turn deathly pale.
Wings spread from his back. The domain halo beneath his feet resembled a blood lotus, its petals opening and closing with the powers of life and destruction contained within.
"May I take that as you threatening a Titled Douluo, or... a four-word battle armor master?" Tang Wulin floated in the air, looking coldly at the three men, who could only kneel on the ground and tremble.
Shen Xing had already fallen to the ground, her face filled with shock.
This man's appearance concerned her even more than those three traitors.
Tang Wulin took a step forward. Every warehouse door burst open, the defense system instantly ceased operating, and shrill alarms rang throughout the entire legion.
Shen Xing only felt a faint fragrance brush past her, and all her strength immediately returned.
The man in the air, his face hidden behind a mask, glanced at her. A vine coiled around the three men lying on the ground as he said, "Take me to your legion commander."
Shen Xing withdrew her gaze and took a deep breath. "Follow me."
Tang Wulin nodded. Golden light enveloped them, and they vanished directly from the warehouse.
The alarm reverberated throughout the legion. When the troops assembled beside the warehouse, they found that aside from the wide-open doors, there was not a single person inside.
They pulled up the surveillance footage, but every camera had malfunctioned, displaying only interference patterns.
Just as they stood by in place, a patch of ground inside the warehouse suddenly flipped over, and six heads emerged.
In an instant, hundreds of soul-guided ray guns were aimed directly at them.
And so, the Six Monsters had barely crawled out before they were captured, utterly bewildered.
