Background / History

Three years before the River Valley Town incident, Blood Butcher led the Bloodfang Group in massacres near Bluestone Town. Chu Jin's parents, Chu Xiao and Lin Yu, were among the soul-hunting team that opposed the group; Blood Butcher killed them and escaped after Spirit Hall destroyed much of the Bloodfang Group's main force. 18 21

During the following three years, he remained hidden in the mountains with surviving members, using blood sacrifices to rise from Soul Ancestor to level 54 Soul King. 18 He eventually reassembled the group and seized River Valley Town, establishing a blood sacrifice formation around its ritual grounds, cemetery, underground waterways, and a subterranean blood pool. The group abducted civilians, refined corpses into puppets, and used living victims' fear and blood to support his cultivation. 18 19

Blood Butcher deliberately sent Chu Xiao's bloodstained identity plaque to Spirit City, challenging Chu Jin to retrieve his parents' belongings in River Valley Town. 18

Battle of River Valley Town

He appears atop the Blood-Bone Behemoth after Spirit Hall disrupts the sacrifice and begins evacuating civilians. While Qin Yue occupies the behemoth and Qian Renxue destroys the formation nodes, Blood Butcher attempts to kill Chu Jin and prevent the blood pool's destruction. 20 21
