Background / History

Tsubaki serves as the captain and finest smith of the Hephaestus Familia, Orario's largest weapon-crafting Familia. Her work includes testing weapons herself and managing a constant volume of commissions from Familias and individual adventurers. She treats smithing as both her central ambition and greatest pleasure. 27 40 48

She first encountered Cao Ye during the Dungeon's Monster Feast, where she arrived in time to eliminate the surrounding monster horde and save him. Impressed that a newcomer had endured such a deadly situation, she accepted his promise to repay her aid. 21 22

Tsubaki later met Cao Ye again on the eighteenth floor. Concerned that he had returned to the Dungeon so soon after losing part of a finger, she was shocked to find his hand fully restored. They agreed to share a meal another time. 27

She is forthright, teasing, and comfortable speaking her mind, particularly when Cao Ye becomes embarrassed. At the same time, she is considerate toward people in danger: she aided Cao Ye against Goliath's surrounding horde and later carried the injured Ais out of the Dungeon. 40 48 115

Tsubaki arrives during Cao Ye's desperate fight against a massive monster horde, clears the monsters in under ten minutes, and identifies herself as a member of the Hephaestus Familia. Her intervention allows Cao Ye to leave the Dungeon alive. 21 22

Goliath Subjugation

She supports Cao Ye during his challenge against Goliath by preventing additional monsters from interfering. After his victory, she purchases the boss's hide for 10 million Valis to turn it into equipment. 39 40

Spatial-Ring Partnership

Cao Ye entrusts Tsubaki with three spatial rings for appraisal and sale. Though initially skeptical, she verifies their storage function, recognizes their novelty, and agrees to seek Hephaestus Familia approval for a formal collaboration. 47 48

Ais's Breakthrough Battle
