Chapter 30: Heading Towards Destruction

Perhaps because it was so exhausted, Zhang Ye slept for a full seventeen hours. Before going to sleep, the sun hadn't set, and when it woke up, it was still bright outside.

It originally thought that the displacement during this period would make it sleep restlessly and have all kinds of nightmares, but in fact, it slept very comfortably, without any dreams until dawn.

"Pietro, what time is it?"

"Yes, yes, what do you want to eat? I have pizza and burgers here. If you want Chinese food, I can go get it for you now and be back in ten seconds, but it's a Chinese food grab bag."

Opening a box of pizza, it was still steaming. It seemed Pietro had only just brought these things back. "I don't even care where these things came from anymore. I just want to know, how did you manage to carry so much stuff back with one hand?"

"If you can't carry it all at once, just carry it a few more times!" Pietro happily jumped on the bed. "This world is so great!"

"No superpowered people, no dictatorial President X, no desperate times, and most importantly, no Mutants!"

You're thinking too much.

Zhang Ye shook its head helplessly and said casually, "Listen, Pietro, I don't want to dampen your excitement, but I have to tell you something. We won't be staying in this world for long. We'll leave this universe after charging the Time Twister."

"Leave here? Why?" Pietro was immediately disappointed when he heard this. "I haven't finished playing the games yet. There are so many interesting things here, not just arcade games, but also single-player games, and even online games. I haven't even tried them yet."

"It can't be helped, but other universes should have what you're talking about. As for why we can't stay in this universe, it's because..."

"I know!" Before Zhang Ye could finish, Pietro immediately said. "It's because we're not in the original timeline, so if we stay here for a long time, we'll be rejected by the timeline and will keep traveling through the various timelines in this universe!"

"See that? That alien spaceship. Maybe this planet won't be destroyed in war, but our situation isn't safe in the universe either. There's a guy named Zod on that spaceship, and he's about to destroy this planet."

Listening to Zhang Ye's words, Pietro stared intently at the screen on the computer. To be honest, that spaceship was indeed very oppressive.

"Is there no one on this planet who can stop this?" Pietro couldn't believe that such a big planet could be destroyed by a spaceship.

"Originally, there was. There used to be an organization called the Justice League on this planet. You can think of it as another Avengers. If they were here, they could indeed stop Zod, but unfortunately, in this universe, most of the members of the Justice League weren't born, and the rest didn't gain superpowers."
