At this moment, deep within the secret chamber of the Macragge's Honour, a thick, pungent smell of engine oil permeated the air, intermittent wails could be heard.

Guilliman, draped in a heavy cloak, strode in, smiling as he entered, "So Cawl, has the method for injecting my genes into other Space Marines been successfully developed?"

Hearing the sound, Cawl looked up. He was cutting open the chest of a rebellious Space Marines, who had already had his heart removed and his entire lungs taken out.

What's chilling is that the rebel fighter, missing a heart and lungs, did not die; his body was regenerating and repairing itself at an alarming rate.

Cawl pointed at the Space Marines, looking at Guilliman with a helpless expression. "Successful, you could call it a success, but to call it a success is an understatement."

"Don't play riddles with me, I don't have time for word games." Guilliman shrugged, his tone urgent. "Just tell me, what's going on?"

"Alright, I'll get straight to the point." Cawl's voice was still hoarse, with a strange tone like gears mixed with machine oil.

"Great Imperial Regent, King of Ultramar, your task for me is to infuse your genes into the other Primarch offspring, so that they too may possess the power of Smart Atoms."

"This is incredibly easy. The aggressiveness of your genes is beyond imagination. I even suspect that if you were to reproduce with the Tyranids, they could produce offspring for you."

"The aggressiveness of your genes is a terrifying phenomenon unprecedented in biological history."

"But the problem lies in your request. You want them to retain the characteristics of their original Chapter, such as the Blood Angels retaining symptoms like Red Thirst and Black Rage."

"To have the qualities of Blood Angels and the power of Ultramarines, I really can't figure this out," Cawl said with a troubled expression.

Guilliman looked helpless and quickly added, "You know that feeling, right? You're the creator, the inventor, the future Omnissiah of the Imperium of Man, the Machine God, you should understand!"

"It's that new state that combines my characteristics with the feeling of being of Sanguinius's blood, do you understand?"

Cawl was inwardly screaming that he didn't understand, but he dared not say it out loud. He could only ask with a pained expression, "Then please tell me clearly what kind of feeling you want, give me a clear idea!"

"The moment you injected your gene, you completely devoured the opponent's original Gene-seed. Strictly speaking, this guy is no longer a rebellious Space Marines."

"Putting aside his mental state, he is now a complete Ultramarines! Even the traces of Warp corruption on his body have been completely erased by your genes."

"His human bloodline is now as pure as it gets!"

As Cawl pointed, the Chaos Warrior on the instrument immediately let out a weak roar, looking extremely pained.

Despite having a missing heart and lungs, his terrifying vitality continued to support his healing process, and he showed no signs of dying.

"This is a characteristic of the Viltrumites; as long as the heart and brain are not completely destroyed, the body can repair itself," Cawl explained in a deep voice.

"So, it's because my genes are too aggressive, making it impossible for them to retain the characteristics of their original Chapter?" Guilliman looked somewhat embarrassed.

He didn't want to end up sending the other Chapter only Ultramarines dressed in different armors, as the rumors suggested.

At that point, people won't be criticizing him for being ambitious; they'll likely collectively accuse him of severing the lineage of other Chapter and causing them to die out.

Actually, there is a solution.

Cawl suddenly spoke, looking up at Guilliman, "But strictly speaking, this method isn't really a method."

Guilliman scratched his head, looking puzzled. "What do you mean by 'a solution that isn't really a solution'? Tell me first."

"As you know, Space Marines have two places within their bodies where Gene-seed are stored: one is the initial storage location, and the other is responsible for cultivating new Gene-seed."

"The positions of the old seeds must not be moved, and the new seeds are crucial to the future of the Chapter, so they cannot be touched at all."

"So I thought, why not create another storage space for them, with new and old seeds in separate locations, and isolate them using special equipment?"

"Just like they are born with two hearts, this can stop the terrifying aggression of your genes and prevent them from completely erasing your original traits."

"As for the new seeds produced, they should achieve a balance after circulating within the body, inheriting the power of Smart Atoms while retaining the original genetic characteristics."

Cawl changed the subject, his tone tinged with helplessness, "But in that case, all Space Marines would be considered your hybrids, and that can't be avoided."

"I really can't think of a better solution, unless you start working hard to reproduce now, so that all of humanity can have your bloodline flowing through their veins."

"At that time, using Newtypes to train Space Marines might meet your requirements. This proposal is essentially the same as the former, except that one is a quick fix and the other is a bloodline modification."

Guilliman smirked. So, no matter what, he was going to be criticized. Oh well, he was used to being called ambitious all the time.

"Then let's go with your quick method and just add another gene storage slot. Anyway, the speed of Gene-seed cultivation is not slow these days."

At this moment Cawl brought over a large glass, looked at Guilliman, and said bluntly, "The last round of experiments used up all your Gene-seed; we need to get some more."

"Thank you for your help, Your Majesty the Lord Regent."

"I suspect you're implying something about me, but I have no proof." Guilliman smiled helplessly and turned to cooperate with the investigation.

Before long, the large glass jar was filled. With his current physical strength, he could completely control the speed at which he collected the materials.

"Please wait patiently for good news. I have ample experimental materials to ensure efficient progress," Cawl, his voice brimming with excitement.

"Once we get to Terra, with the help of the equipment there, I'll soon be able to develop a completely new method for manufacturing Space Marines!"

He slowly raised his hands, and even the dozen or so mechanical tentacles behind him stirred restlessly. With so much research material, he was sure to create even better Space Marines!
