Atomic Abilities!
"System, redeem!"
Guilliman's consciousness issued firm commands within the system space.
The light screen responded instantly, the items scrolled, and it froze on the option that emitted a dangerous yet alluring white light:
[Atomic Manipulation - Atom Eve's Ultimate Ability]
Exchange requirement: 2,000,000 Governance Points
Description: Directly interfering with the laws governing the motion of microscopic particles through willpower, breaking the classical law of conservation of matter.
It can break down everything down to atomic dust, and it can also aggregate particles to reshape all kinds of forms.
Creation and annihilation are separated by a single thought.
This is the authority to touch upon the essence of the Material Universe.
Note: The original setting included a restriction that the device could not be used on living beings except when they were in a near-death state.
This restriction has been removed after system adaptation.
The host will master this ability in its full form.
Guilliman did not hesitate for a moment.
"Confirm redemption."
[Consumes 2,000,000 Governance Points...]
[Exchange in progress...]
[The host has been detected to possess the rudiments of the "Law of Eternity"...]
[To achieve adaptive fusion...]
[Warning: This ability may resonate at a higher level with the host's existing nature...]
[Fusion complete.]
In reality, inside Guilliman's room, a pure white sphere of light silently appeared before him.
It is not dazzling, but it gives people a profound sense of "containing all possibilities", and its surface seems to have countless particles coming into being and passing away.
Looking at that cluster of laws symbolizing the essence of atoms.
Guilliman felt like an ancient Emperor seeing a jade seal, a crown prince seeing a dragon robe, or a female news anchor seeing horse oil stockings!
It was an instinctive flutter of excitement!
It was an instinctive desire!
"This item should belong to me!"
Guilliman extended his hand, covered in Power Armour, and gently pressed it onto the orb of light.
The ball of light flowed like mercury, instantly disappearing into his body.
There was no violent energy burst, no dazzling light.
But Guilliman —and some beings beyond mortal perception—clearly sensed it.
The Material Universe trembled.
It is not a vibration in the physical sense, but a ripple at a deeper, more fundamental "rule level" that spreads outwards.
In the endless sea of stars, deep within the territory of the Necron Dynasties.
On the silent throne.
The Great Silent King – Salah Hendrichsen.
The metallic body, forged from the pinnacle of Necron Technology and powerful enough to shatter C'tan Shard, suddenly trembled slightly.
The C'tan Shard imprisoned beneath his throne trembled, a testament to his hatred for the birth of his own kind.
Why should he be able to move freely in the material world?
"What is it this time?"
In his empty eye sockets, a ghostly green flame of his soul suddenly surged, piercing through the ornate mask that carried his consciousness.
"Another... throbbing of the laws?"
His telepathic abilities pierced through the Veil of the Realspace, capturing that fleeting yet crystal-clear fluctuation.
That wasn't the foul tides of the Warp, but rather a feedback from the addition and reinforcement of the "underlying code" of the Material Universe itself.
"More direct, more... 'material' than that previous 'eternal' fluctuations."
The Silent King's thoughts raced and deduced at nanosecond speeds.
Inside the mechanical body, an ancient and unimaginably sophisticated logic matrix was operating at full power.
"The C'tan have all been sealed, divided, and devoured by us... The laws of the Material Universe should be stabilizing, or even gradually 'sleeping' due to the absence of the C'tan..."
Why do Second Company?
Eternity... and now this again...
He sensed a strange sense of threat.
It is neither Chaos Gods from the Warp nor a biomass flood from the Tyranids, but rather an expansion of the "possibilities" of the Material Universe itself.
A new C'tan... is being conceived?
No, this doesn't feel like the birth of a simple C'tan... it feels more like... the opening of 'authority'?
"Additions to the 'rules'?"
Is the Material Universe planning to evolve on its own?
The Silent King was caught in a rare and perplexing dilemma stemming from a logical contradiction.
The Necrons race rejects flesh and blood emotions, but as the supreme ruler of the dynasty, he retains the purest calculation and thirst for knowledge.
The phenomenon before him exceeded his database of knowledge accumulated over millions of years.
"But it doesn't matter."
"Even if there are truly newborn C'tan, without a suitable body forged by our race's technology, they are nothing more than primitive energy consciousness clusters, posing a limited threat."
He tried to soothe his "unease" with known logic. "Did the Material Universe evolve on its own to produce a flesh-and-blood race capable of naturally bearing the C'tan Power?"
This claim is utterly absurd.
If such a race exists, its individuals would be capable of traversing the void and shattering stars with their fists.
If reproduction could be even faster...
The Tyranids, whom he considered his mortal enemies, would probably be devoured like steak by that race."
This assumption was so absurd that even he himself felt his logical circuitry was somewhat overloaded.
"Perhaps... humanity's Psionic Energy emperor has come up with some new trick?"
"That Corpse King struggling on the Golden Throne?"
The Silent King turned some of his attention toward the Imperium of Man.
Recent Warp fluctuations suggest that Terra appears to have undergone a dramatic change.
That's enough.
After a long silence, the Silent King calmed the surging of his soul fire. "The war between the Tyranids and the Orks is raging, which is the perfect opportunity for the dynasty to revive its vitality and reunite the lost Tomb Worlds."
Human variables... we'll observe that later.
"Continue hibernation."
"When I awaken again, I will travel to the other side of the Milky Way and see what kind of fire humanity is playing with."
The eerie green flames gradually dimmed, and the magnificent throne was once again shrouded in absolute silence.
Guilliman opened his eyes.
He looked exactly the same, but he knew that everything was different.
An unprecedented "vision" unfolded before him.
He could "sense" the essence of all matter in the room without using his Psionic Energy.
The silicate crystal structure of the walls, the disordered movement of nitrogen and oxygen molecules in the air, the atomic arrangement of the composite Ceramite and Plasteel in the Power Armour, and even the combination and separation of iron and oxygen in one's own blood...
The microscopic world is like the lines on the palm of his hand in his eyes.
With a slight thought, he conjured a speck of dust from his fingertip, then broke it down into the most basic protons, neutrons, and electrons, and recombined them into a tiny diamond.
The entire process was silent and seamless, with an energy conversion efficiency of nearly 100%, as if the universe itself was cooperating with his will.
"This is... the power to manipulate the foundation of matter."
Guilliman Whisper, his eyes gleaming with a deep blue light that seemed to reflect the stars:
"If the Law of Eternity are the framework that gives existence its 'persistence,' then atomic power... is the 'content' itself that fills that framework."
It can even... redefine the framework.
He felt that the fragment of his eternal essence within him was resonating and complementing this newborn power in a wondrous way.
The C'tan is the embodiment of the laws of physics, and the Atomic Manipulation allows him to touch upon the "building blocks" beneath those laws.
That's enough.
"Let's revive the old man first."
"Those mountains of official business can't be handled by me alone."
Guilliman composed himself and turned his gaze to the crystal box in the corner of the room, which was tightly protected by Stasis Field:
"The first step is to help the old man rebuild his body."
"So, does that mean I'm the old man's father in the physical sense?"
"From now on, I'll call him Prime Minister, and he'll call me Biology Daddy?"
"Hiss..."
"We absolutely cannot give the old man red-covered books again!"
