We Lead the Tyranids to Ultramar!
Craftworlds Ulthwé, Prophecy Hall.
The prophets gathered around the huge crystal ball, with Psionic Energy flowing through their fingertips like a river of stars.
The crystal ball reflects the whole picture of Milky Way, with countless stars twinkling in it, and countless civilizations rising and falling in it.
But at this moment, a shadow is spreading on the bright star map.
The shadow is alive.
It is devouring stars, devouring the world, and devouring all life.
Its tentacles extend to every corner of Milky Way.
With every squirm, civilization dies.
The world falls silent with every pulse.
That is the projection of Hive Mind, the shadow of Tyranids, and the most terrifying threat Milky Way has ever faced.
The Prophet Speaker stood in front of the crystal ball, his old eyes full of solemnity.
His voice was low and hoarse, like the wind blowing through dead wood.
"The swarm is approaching."
"Leviathan's tentacles have reached out to our Craftworlds."
There was dead silence in the parliament hall.
Eldar is one of the oldest races among Milky Way.
They have experienced War in Heaven, witnessed the rise and fall of C'tan, and also witnessed the birth of Chaos Gods.
But Tyranids, these beings from outside Milky Way, made them feel a fear they had never experienced before.
Because the swarm does not devour souls, does not corrupt hearts, and does not play tricks.
They just eat, pure, endless, unstoppable devouring.
A young prophet stood up, a tremor in his voice.
"Speaker, we must transfer Craftworlds."
"You can't go head-to-head with the swarm."
The other prophet shook his head.
"It's too late."
"Leviathan's tentacles are too fast. As soon as we start Craftworlds's engine, we will be surrounded by them."
"Then fight!"
A warrior leader stood up.
"Eldar is never afraid of fighting!"
"Hit?"
The speaker's voice was calm and cold.
"What to fight with?"
"Our warriors are getting fewer and fewer, our fleet is getting older and older, and our Psionic Energy is getting weaker and weaker."
"And the number of insect swarms is endless."
Silence fell again in the parliament hall.
Then, a deep voice sounded, with a hint of coldness in the voice.
"We don't need to fight."
"Someone will fight for us."
Everyone's eyes turned to the source of the sound.
It was a messenger from Dark Eldar, wearing black armor and a strange mask on his face.
His eyes flashed red behind the mask, like two burning coals.
"Commorragh."
The Speaker frowned.
"What are you doing here?"
The messenger laughed, his laughter like fingernails scratching glass.
"Come and give me a big gift."
"A gift that is enough to divert the insect swarm."
He walked to the crystal ball, stretched out his hand, and traced the star map with his pale fingers.
His fingertips landed on the east side of Milky Way, in an area shrouded in blue light.
"Ultramar."
The messenger's voice was full of insidiousness.
"Secondary Heart of Imperium of Man, Lord Regent Guilliman's home."
"Five hundred worlds, each one is densely populated, each one is rich in resources, and each one is a feast that the insects dream of."
A prophet's eyes lit up.
"You mean, lead the insect swarm to Imperium of Man?"
The messenger nodded.
"Exactly."
"Ultramar's defense is extremely powerful, enough to compete with the insect swarm."
"And Lord Regent of Imperium of Man, and Primarch named Guilliman, are exactly the targets that Hive Mind wants to devour."
"As long as we lead the insect swarm towards Ultramar, they will naturally fight."
"And Eldar can reap the benefits."
The speaker was silent for a long time.
He looked at the blue light on the star map, at the spreading shadow of the insect swarm, and at the two forces about to collide.
A complex emotion surged in his heart, which was guilt, uneasiness, and determination.
"That's it."
His voice was very low, so low that only he could hear it.
"For the survival of Eldar."
Hive Mind felt the bait.
Ultramar, five hundred worlds, tens of billions of humans, and the powerful Psionic Energy signal.
That is the aftertaste of Law of Eternity left by Guilliman.
It was delicious like it had never tasted before.
That's enough energy to make the entire Hive Fleet crazy.
Leviathan's tentacles changed direction and rushed towards Ultramar.
The faint green Hive Fleet spread out in the void, like a moving nebula.
Countless Hive Ship, cruisers, and frigates are squirming in the star sea.
Their surface is covered with thick chitinous carapace.
Countless Tyranids creatures are surging inside them.
The scene was spectacular and terrifying, making people shudder.
Hive Mind's order spread to every fleet.
"Swallow."
"Swallow Ultramar."
"Swallowing the heart of Imperium of Man."
"Swallow the being named Guilliman."
The first wave of attacks from the swarm hit a wall.
That's not an ordinary wall, that's Ultramar's orbital defense system, a steel defense line built by Guilliman himself after his rebirth.
Each planet is equipped with dozens of giant defense platforms.
Each platform is equipped with Lance Battery and missile silos capable of tearing apart battleships.
Those platforms are arranged in a tight formation in the void, like a steel Great Wall, protecting every planet in Ultramar behind them.
As soon as Hive Ship appeared at the edge of Ultramar's star field, the defense system opened fire.
The light spears poured down like raindrops, and each beam accurately hit the vital part of a Hive Ship.
The chitin armor was like tissue paper in front of the light spear, being pierced by bunches and torn apart.
Hive Ship's body fluids spurted out in the void, turning into green blood flowers.
The missile roared out of the launch silo, dragging white tail flames and crashing into the insect swarms that were still trying to get closer.
The warhead exploded in the swarm of insects, and the flames of the explosion illuminated the entire void, turning hundreds of Tyranids creatures into ashes.
A solid projectile fired from a railgun strikes Hive Ship at sub-light speed.
The kinetic energy was so great that the giant ships rolled in the void, their carapace shattered, and debris scattered everywhere.
Imperium of Man's navy has also been dispatched.
Under the cover of defense platforms, destroyers, cruisers, and battleships charged towards the insect swarm.
Their guns roared, their torpedoes roared, and their soldiers shouted.
It was a feast of blood and fire, a battle of life and death.
