The Four Vendors Reunite
The entire process lasted approximately one standard Terra time.
The last glimmer of golden-blue light flickered somewhere within the inner layer before fading into silence.
The entire sunlit side of Calixis Prime, was once home to countless factories, furnaces, temples, and Hive City.
It has been transformed into a boundless sea of ruins, still echoing with low rumbles and sporadic explosions, composed of metal fragments, molten glass, twisted beams, and dust.
The crimson clouds were completely torn apart and dispersed by the explosion, and the filthy rain of blood had long since ceased.
Instead, there is real, scorching air, smelling of gunpowder and ozone, and gray dust rising from the planet's scarred surface, spreading across the globe.
Guilliman's figure slowly rose from the center of the largest ruin, hovering amidst the swirling dust and the fading afterglow of energy.
His Armor of Eternity was spotless, except for the knuckles, where a trace of the not-yet-completely-cooled, molten metal's dark red luster seemed to linger.
He looked up, gazing toward the fleet in orbit, as if he could see his offspring through layers of obstruction.
The communication channel was silent except for the sound of his steady breathing.
After a long silence, a calm voice rang out, echoing throughout the fleet:
"The source of Chaos pollution on the surface of the target planet and its main structures have been physically removed."
"Next step: Orbital bombardment of the remaining mycelial contaminated area, followed by the deployment of geological stabilizers and atmospheric purification spores."
"Prepare to receive the 'reconstruction' blueprint for this planet."
"Also, inform Belisarius Cawl,"
Guilliman paused, then added, his voice devoid of much emotion:
"The Adeptus Mechanicus members of Calixis Prime require... a complete review and replacement."
Since the Emperor ascended the Golden Throne, deep within the Warp, the four Chaos Gods have gathered for the first time in ten thousand years.
Their very existence is a distortion of the rules, and every Whisper they utter stirs the nerves of the Realspace.
Tzeentch's form shifted like a kaleidoscope, countless voices overlapping, echoing with wisdom and cunning:
"Change, what a perfect change! Complex, unpredictable!"
That Son of War has broken free from all predetermined paths!
But his essence has never changed!
Khorne's roar was like the thunder of a thousand battles, and the air was thick with the scent of blood and bronze.
His throne, forged from bones and wrath, now trembles with excitement and discontent.
He brought the purest destruction!
Strength, determination, and the will to crush everything—that is the ultimate beauty of war!
A soft, sweet chuckle rang out, and Slaanesh's figure swayed in the luxurious and decadent light and shadow.
"Beauty? All you know is savage slaughter, Blood God."
Forget about getting him, just like you can't get that angel; they're both the most stubborn elements."
"You rotten, pleasure-seeking servant, how dare you comment on war?!"
Khorne's rage almost materialized into flames.
"Quiet, everyone, please be quiet."
Then came Nurgle's benevolent murmur as He patiently stirred the never-ending cauldron, within which newborn plagues and the blessings of decay churned.
"Look at that child, carrying the heavy burden of an Imperium all by himself, how lonely he is."
What he needs is the warmth of a large family...
He scooped up a spoonful of the thick soup and gently blew on it.
In the Realspace, bizarre and unprecedented diseases have quietly broken out at the edges of several galaxies.
"A small gift to let him feel his father's love and care in advance."
The other three Chaos Gods did not stop Nurgle from giving this small "gift".
Guilliman's actions in the Realspace are becoming increasingly effective, and he is even beginning to re-establish humanity's crumbling order.
This is no longer a trivial struggle of a pawn, but a potential threat gradually approaching the Emperor-class.
"Caring? Too straightforward, lacking the surprise of change."
The aura of Tzeentch flickered, rippling with calculating intent.
"You already have a son who loves both decay and new life, loving father."
This is different.
The subtlety and complexity of the 'changes' and 'possibilities' he brought should rightfully belong to the realm of the Lord of Change.
"Your domain? Your 'brilliant plan' is to bring him back alive and kicking ten thousand years from now, even more difficult to deal with?!"
Khorne's resentment was even greater; he had once seen Guilliman as the most likely potential champion to step into the Bloodlands in search of the ultimate war.
Because his essence is that of Son of War.
"This is all part of the plan."
Tzeentch's voice carried an inhuman calm, yet it seemed all the more unfathomable.
"A pointless argument."
Slaanesh stretched lazily, and a bewitching, purplish-black aura spread like a tide.
"Nurgle has already made his move."
Khorne, unless you are willing to split your own power to directly interfere with reality, your berserkers are nothing but dust before him.
"Tzeentch, before he willingly ventures into the Warp, all your schemes will fall short of reaching the core."
His eyes gleamed with a light that saw through all weaknesses.
"Then, naturally it's my turn."
Help me pry open a crack in reality, and I will pour in the most extreme ' Pleasure ' and 'desire'.
The glory and responsibility he regarded as his life were precisely the most magnificent shackles...
And his brother, the purple phoenix, had already given me the key to unlock the shackles."
Tzeentch's blue flames and Khorne's crimson storm collided instantly in the Chaos Hall, displaying their enraged fury at being offended.
Yet Slaanesh smiled serenely amidst this chaotic energy surge; the purple aura, like the most stubborn poison ivy, was not only not dispelled, but instead bloomed even more alluringly.
"Anger and scheming are both too... crude."
Slaanesh's Whisper pierced through the clamor of Chaos, pointing directly to the heart of the matter:
"To corrupt a noble and lonely heart, what is needed is understanding and resonance!"
Those who pursue glory will inevitably be corrupted by it!
It's still 7 updates; Dad did his best.
I have a lot of classes next week, so I might not be able to keep up with this update frequency, but I'll still try my best to write.
(Because the updates are too fast, I think the pacing of the story might not be well controlled. Readers are welcome to offer their opinions.)
Finally, Dad is begging for a 5-star review and a free little gift!
