Saving Cedric Diggory
The group ran back into the maze.
Harry said sadly, "Cedric Diggory is dead."
"Ahem," Oren interrupted, "Not quite dead yet. Remember the defensive necklace? That thing can defend against the Killing Curse, theoretically, of course."
Hermione asked in confusion, "Then what's this, Cedric Diggory?"
"Her soul is still intact; she must have been knocked unconscious by the Killing Curse," Oren analyzed. "Let's go to the Hospital Wing and wake this sleeping beauty."
Harry breathed a sigh of relief knowing that Cedric Diggory could still be saved.
"Oren, this defensive necklace didn't work! I took a solid hit!"
"It's a makeshift prop, so it's normal for it to have some minor bugs. Let me put it this way, Harry, if I hit you a hundred times, I'd kill you, but I wouldn't care about the necklace for the first ninety-nine."
Harry...
Inside the Hospital Wing, two Dumbledore were staring at each other. One of them spoke up, "Moody... it must be Barty Crouch Jr.. He was exposed. I subdued him, but he was killed by the Dementors brought by Fudge."
"I threatened the Dementors using Oren's name; what it meant was that Fudge ordered the killing of Barty Crouch Jr.."
"Alright, you two," Oren interrupted, "We should wake Sleeping Beauty now. Which headmaster would like to get some of the Acromantula's soul to replenish Cedric Diggory's strength? Oh, and also get some soul stabilizers."
Dumbledore shoved the bottle into another version of himself (Grindelwald) and said, "Go get some Acromantula souls. Remember, don't touch the biggest one, and stay away from Hagrid."
Grindelwald...
Hermione hesitated for a long time before speaking, "How come there are two Headmaster Dumbledore...?"
Dumbledore blinked. "That's my new secretary. She occasionally uses Polyjuice Potion to help me with problems."
Oren complained, "Headmaster, how dare you even blink? How many people have snuck into Hogwarts in the last four years? We should just resign; this headmaster is a bit unprofessional."
Dumbledore...
Grindelwald returned shortly after, bringing with him a large bottle of souls generously donated by the Acromantula.
Oren began to rub the equipment by hand, while Cedric Diggory lay in the strangely shaped steamer like a big steamed bun.
Smelling the black smoke rising from the steamer, Hermione remarked, "It smells like burning damp firewood."
"That's the taste of the Acromantula's soul," Oren commanded. "Now, just give Cedric Diggory a little stimulation; Cruciatus Curse would be just right."
Two old Deng...
After discussing it for a long time, it was Grindelwald who finally made the move, striking the peaceful Cedric Diggory with a spell.
"Oh ho ho ho ho ho ho ho~"
Oren nodded. "Give him a bottle of soul stabilizer, and that'll be the end of it."
Madam Pomfrey dragged the real Moody into the Hospital Wing, followed by Cho Chang.
Ron quipped, "Poor Professor Moody, he's got all his hair pulled out."
Cedric Diggory regained consciousness and stammered, "What happened to me? I only remember a green light..."
Oren said, "The surgery was a success; you're a vampire now."
Cedric Diggory: "Huh?"
Cho Chang exclaimed with delight, "You're awake!"
"Ahem, I was just joking," Oren interrupted. "Cedric Diggory, you should settle your medical bills first. It's not much, just a twenty-year contract—oops, I mean a contract."
Cedric Diggory...
Cho Chang Qiu whispered, "Isn't this too much?"
Oren pursed her lips. "You two lovebirds have a great relationship, don't you? Cho Chang, why don't you help Cedric Diggory with his ten-year labor contract?"
"Ahem," Cedric Diggory said, "I'll sign a twenty-year contract."
"Very good," Oren nodded in satisfaction. "Kreacher, to the Hospital Wing! Take this guy to Will and tell him this filler baby is now under his care."
Everyone...
Headmaster's Office, a group of people are having a meeting.
Harry is explaining what happened after he was teleported away.
"Alright, stop talking," Oren interrupted. "The Portkey you were given has a recording function; we can just watch the playback."
"I see," Harry scratched his head. "You see, I went toe-to-toe with Voldemort a few times, and I didn't embarrass Gryffindor at all."
Harry was stunned by reality, then Cedric Diggory was sacrificed, and he was stabbed and bled a little. After breaking free of control, he exchanged a few blows with Voldemort and did not lose.
Finally realizing he had a shield, he carried Cedric Diggory to retrieve the trophy, hurling a few insults at Voldemort before leaving, much to Voldemort's chagrin.
After watching the replay, Oren complained, "Harry, you cried like a little brat. I should have prepared some tissues for you."
Harry...
Dumbledore his tongue in amazement, saying, "The two wands are actually linked together! Those figures who helped Harry fight Tom must all be victims."
"Two spells colliding can have this effect?" Grindelwald shook his head and said, "This Potter kid has some kind of magic to him."
Harry...
Oren looked at Will, "So you didn't even find a single Death Eaters, and all you brought back was a huge cauldron."
Harry said, "That guy said something about using his father's bones and the flesh of his servants to make a soup, Voldemort came back to life."
Will said, "I know that guy who cut off his arm. His name is Johnny. He used to be in Knockturn Alley..."
"Alright, forget about Johnny Silverhand," Oren analyzed. "I think this resurrection ritual is quite interesting."
Dumbledore interrupted, "That ritual is very special; not everyone can use it."
Oren pursed his lips. "Of course I know. What I'm after is the restoration of the physical body. Once I understand the soul, won't I be able to save people from the Grim Reaper? By the way, what were you talking about earlier? Father's bones?"
Will explained, "That place is the Riddle Family Graveyard."
Oren ordered, "Sirius Black, go and get some men, and dig up Voldemort's ancestral grave."
Sirius Black...
After the meeting, Harry and Oren returned to the Gryffindor Tower.
"The You-Know-Who is back! What should we do?" Ron exclaimed in terror.
Hermione said, "I'm still more curious about the principal's secretary."
Oren explained, "That man is Grindelwald."
"Hiss~" 3
Ron said, "I thought they were mortal enemies."
"We should be friends," Oren said uncertainly. "But the friendship might have changed a bit."
Hermione asked curiously, "What preparations have the headmaster and the others made?"
Harry glanced at Oren and said, "Get reinforcements, and dig up Voldemort's ancestral grave."
Everyone...
"That puts my mind at ease. Not only do we have Headmaster Dumbledore, but we also have a Dark Lord here," Ron breathed a sigh of relief.
Hermione nodded in agreement. Ron was right, he just forgot to mention the third Dark Lord.
"Are you relieved now? How many O's will you get on the final exams? Have you prepared for next year's OWL exams?"
Oren's soul-searching question nearly made Ron faint.
"Sigh," Harry sighed. "Hopefully, next year's Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor won't be a bad guy."
Oren said, "The Defense Against the Dark Arts has already lost three dead in their lottery."
Hermione asked doubtfully, "Aren't there two people? Quirrell and Barty Crouch Jr..?"
Ron rolled his eyes. "Lockhart is practically dead."
Hermione said, "Two people have infiltrated Hogwarts this year; it seems I need to learn some powerful spells too."
Oren said, "I highly recommend Fiendfyre."
Hermione covered her ears and shook her head, saying, "That's Dark Magic! I won't learn it! I won't learn it!"
Oren: "What about the Killing Curse? Clean and unpolluted, the best spell for killing and silencing witnesses."
"I won't learn! I won't learn!"
Harry and Ron exchanged a bewildered glance as they watched the two figures walk further and further away.
