In the past, no Wizard Organization on the West Coast had maintained a large-scale knight force. However, it was said that Thorn Holy Tower had assembled a fairly sizable knight unit this time, equipped with extremely comprehensive alchemical gear.
Thorn Holy Tower had supposedly learned this from the East Coast. Both Mechanical Wizard civilization and knight civilization were relatively prosperous there.

Duke observed his surroundings as he arrived beneath a tower. The third tower on the west side had originally been an auxiliary watchtower of the Layton Family castle's main keep. It had now been reinforced and expanded as a whole, its exterior covered in matte metal armor plates. An energy-focusing device and lookout post had been added to the top, making it resemble a cold metal spike pointing straight at the grayish-yellow sky.
Two guards stood at the tower entrance. Both wore thick armor, and judging by their auras, they were likely fairly powerful Level 2 Knights.
Their gazes were sharp. Only after carefully checking Duke's identification did they let him through.
Upon entering the tower, the temperature seemed even lower than outside.
The light mainly came from luminous crystals embedded in the walls, soft yet cold.
The structure here resembled a vertical military command center more than a residential area.
The first floor was a public area, furnished with several tactical tables. A few wizards spoke in low voices, the atmosphere grave, while a spiraling metal staircase led upward.
