Lynn opened the passage to the Stigma World and sent off Walker, who thanked him profusely.
Although Walker had not attained Stigma, his year in the Stigma World had allowed him to take a great stride in comprehending rules.
At the very least, it had saved him decades of stumbling down the wrong path.
Those decades were enough for him to take a solid step toward attaining Stigma.
That made him all the more grateful for his original choice.
And Lynn?
He had saved five hundred thousand magic stones and a favor that would have required him to take action. All it had cost him was a few words of guidance and half a year's residence in a small section of the Stigma World.
What an absolute bargain!
Well... both sides felt they had made a killing.
Lynn withdrew his mental power, turned, and walked through the Grand Cathedral's corridor to the laboratory where Gregor was staying. He pushed the door open and entered.
Gregor was seated at a table by the window, a half-unrolled record book spread before him and a pen in his hand.
Lynn leaned over to look. The record book contained a diagram of the Rule Net, as did every page.
Yet each page was slightly different.
After all, the Rule Net was not fixed. It changed constantly, sustaining this world.
Gregor was trying to record those changes and weave a "simplified Rule Net" of his own.
"Myriad Phenomena" was far too difficult. If he kept aiming for Lynn's Myriad Phenomena Stigma, he might never advance in his lifetime.
Gregor intended to settle for the next best thing.
If he could not manage "Myriad Phenomena," he would make "Thousand Phenomena." If even that proved impossible, "Hundred Phenomena" would do.
Someone had already proven that his path
