Xuan Zi froze for a moment, then his face instantly flushed red. After living for so many years, this was the first time someone had cursed him while pointing right at his nose—and in front of a young girl, no less.
He gritted his teeth, his voice carrying restrained fury. "What did you say?!"
Xuan Xiao stared at him coldly and said, word by word, "I said, get out! Are you deaf?"
Xuan Zi's expression completely darkened. He was a Rank 98 Super Douluo, the commander of the Shrek Inspection Corps. When had anyone ever berated him like this? Even Mu En would not speak to him in such a tone.
He had just been about to make a move and teach this brat who did not know his place a lesson.
Xuan Xiao snapped his fingers. The sound was crisp and sharp, especially piercing in the quiet room.
"Wake up. Let me borrow a few Bone Dragons!"
The moment his voice fell, a pitch-black portal opened beside Xuan Xiao. Its edges burned with ghostly blue flames, and the space within was a deep, profound darkness, as if it led to another world.
Then came a thunderous boom.
A massive skeletal tail thrust out from the gate. It was bone-white from end to end, each segment as thick as a millstone and carrying tremendous force as it viciously lashed Xuan Zi.
Xuan Zi had no time to react. He was sent flying as if he had been struck by a mountain, smashing through the wall and leaving a human-shaped hole in it.
He continued flying, plowing a long trench through the ground before finally slamming into a large tree and snapping it in half at the waist. Only then did he come to a stop.
With that, Shrek's peaceful morning was completely shattered!
Students rushed out of their dormitories, while teachers charged from the office buildings. Everyone looked toward the source of the noise, and then they witnessed a scene they would never forget for the rest of their lives.
A bone-white skeletal claw emerged from the black gate. It was unimaginably huge, its five finger bones like five spears as they gripped the edge of the gate and pulled hard.
An enormous dragon head extended from the gate. It too was formed of bone-white skeleton, golden Lie Yans burning within its eye sockets and radiating a sacred, imposing aura.
Immediately afterward, its entire body crawled out of the gate. It was a Bone Dragon over a hundred meters long, bone-white all over and perfectly intact. Every bone gleamed faintly, as though carved from the finest white jade.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Three blasts of rushing wind rang out as three more Bone Dragons flew out from the gate. They circled high above Shrek Academy, their enormous wings casting vast shadows that blotted out the sky.
When everyone looked up, they were dumbfounded.
There were four Bone Dragons, each over a hundred meters long. Every one radiated suffocating pressure so powerful that some students with lower cultivation directly collapsed to the ground, unable even to stand.
These were fucking Bone Dragons?
Was this some kind of international joke?
Normally, even if Bone Dragons possessed other attributes, they could not change the gloomy aura of death around them, which made people uncomfortable.
Yet these four Bone Dragons not only lacked the sinister, terrifying presence of evil soul masters, but instead radiated rich golden light. That light was warm and sacred, like sunlight, making people feel comfortably warm.
These were clearly light-attributed dragons!
Light Bone Dragons?
What the hell kind of species was that?
Hearing the commotion, the Sea God's Pavilion elders led by Song Yunzhi hurried over. When they saw the four Bone Dragons circling overhead, their minds clearly could not process it.
After living so many years, this was their first time seeing something like this.
Xuan Xiao held Zhu Lu in his arms, then leaped onto the back of the leading Bone Dragon. Its spine was broad and flat, as stable as level ground beneath his feet.
"Look, isn't that Zhu Lu?"
"Fuck, isn't she Dai Huabin's fiancée? How did she get together with Xuan Xiao?"
"This is way too much information!"
"Picking up girls right under Dai Huabin's nose? That takes some serious guts!"
Dai Huabin stood among the crowd with an ashen expression, his fists clenched so tightly that his nails dug into his palms and drew blood. Yet he seemed unable to feel the pain.
He stared fixedly at Xuan Xiao and Zhu Lu atop the Bone Dragon, his eyes filled with rage and humiliation. He wanted nothing more than to rush up and tear Xuan Xiao to pieces, but he did not dare.
Because he could sense that the aura radiating from any one of those four Bone Dragons could easily crush him to death.
Standing atop the Bone Dragon, Xuan Xiao looked down at the crowd below. His gaze swept over the Sea God's Pavilion elders as he spoke in an icy tone.
"You'd better give me an explanation. Otherwise, I'll tear Shrek apart today!"
The moment those words came out, the entire crowd erupted.
Tear Shrek apart?
Wasn't that a little too arrogant?
But looking at the four Light Bone Dragons circling in the sky, then at the human-shaped hole where someone had been sent flying and the tree that had been snapped in half, no one dared question his words.
Because anyone who had experienced the aura of a Super Douluo knew one thing: if those four Bone Dragons were measured in soul power ranks, they were at least Rank 97, perhaps even higher.
Four Rank 97 Bone Dragons, plus an unfathomable Xuan Xiao—this force was enough to sweep through all of Shrek.
Song Yunzhi's expression became extremely ugly. She turned to Xuan Zi, who had just climbed up from the ground looking filthy and disheveled, her voice carrying suppressed anger. "Elder Xuan, what exactly have you done this time?"
Xuan Zi brushed the dirt from his clothes and said with an aggrieved look.
"I only wanted to take him as my disciple! What did I do wrong?! I'm a dignified Rank 98 Super Douluo. Taking him as my disciple would be a blessing for him!"
Yan Shaozhe stood to the side, silently watching Xuan Zi. He said nothing, but there was distance and coldness in his eyes.
Ever since returning from the Far North, he no longer held any trust in Xuan Zi.
That old bastard could never accomplish anything, only ruin things. All he knew was how to bring trouble upon Shrek.
Mu En also arrived. Leaning on his cane, he hurried to the scene, panting heavily. When he saw the four Bone Dragons in the sky and the huge hole in the ground, he nearly failed to catch his breath.
He took a deep breath and steadied himself before raising his head to look at Xuan Xiao atop the Bone Dragon. "Young Xuan Xiao, could you give this old man a..."
Before he could finish, Xuan Xiao cut him off directly.
Xuan Xiao looked down at him with cold eyes, his tone filled with undisguised disgust and impatience.
"Old bastard, get lost! I show you respect, but who the fuck shows me any respect?"
This time, Xuan Xiao had directly berated Mu En in front of all Shrek.
It was neither the relatively private setting of Xian Lin'er's office from last time, nor was it merely talking back. He was openly cursing him before everyone, showing him not the slightest bit of respect.
The entire place fell silent.
Everyone's eyes widened and their mouths hung open as they watched the unbelievable scene.
Who was Mu En?
The pillar that held Shrek steady, an Ultimate Douluo-level existence, one of the strongest experts on the entire continent.
And now, he had been directly cursed as "old bastard, get lost" by a twelve-year-old boy in front of all the academy's teachers and students.
The sight was simply too shocking.
