Beside him, Shiba Kazuo crushed grains of sand between his fingers, his eyes closed in contemplation.
Both Captain-level Soul Reapers were using their own methods to acclimate their bodies to Hueco Mundo's environment.
"Senior Kazuo, are you ready?"
"Yes."
At the Tenth Division captain's reply, Uchiha Yato took a deep breath and steadily recited the incantation: "Heart of the south, eye of the north; fingertip of the west, toe of the east, gather with the wind and scatter with the rain! Bakudō No. 58: Kakushitsuijaku!"
In an instant, Uchiha Yato's spiritual perception expanded countless times over, spreading like a spiderweb across space to probe the depths of Hueco Mundo.
Having existed for so many years, the Central Underground Great Prison naturally had a complete set of emergency procedures.
Before prisoners were incarcerated, tiny Hōgyoku were implanted in their bodies. Combined with the tracking ability of Kakushitsuijaku, these allowed escapees to be swiftly located and caught in an all-encompassing net.
Of course, even without this No. 58 Bakudō, Uchiha Yato knew where the escaped prisoner was hiding.
After all, the Animal Path, controlled through the Black Rods of the Outer Path, was effectively part of him. He could even stage a little performance and have him walk straight into their trap.
But the young Captain of the Ninth Division still followed the most sensible procedure, using Bakudō in front of Shiba Kazuo to keep up the appearance of a pursuit.

Shiba Kazuo shook his head noncommittally. "Sakibe Kyōga has no sword
