As the two were thinking, a ripple suddenly passed through the space. Qin Yi and the other exchanged startled looks. After connecting to the fluctuation, Kate's long-unseen face suddenly appeared out of thin air.
"Xiao Yi, why did you suddenly disappear? Are you all right?" Kate blurted out anxiously upon seeing Qin Yi. His gaze swept around, and when he did not spot Qin Rong, he could not help growing suspicious. "Why isn't Qin Rong here?"
"Qin Rong has something to do and won't be appearing for the next two years," Qin Yi said casually. "Sorry for making you worry when we suddenly disappeared last time."
"It's fine. I saw the note you left behind." Kate smiled, then got straight to the point. "After receiving your proposal last time, the temple followed through on it and saw some results. The City Lord asked me to thank you."
"It was nothing. Mutual benefit, after all," Qin Yi said with a smile.
"By the way, do you still have any Saint Fruit over there?"
"I still have some," Qin Yi replied. Then he pulled the sweet potatoes from Andre's Space. "What, do you need them again?"
"Yes. The relationship between the Dark Temple and the Light Temple has been rather tense lately. At the City Lord's request, I've been gathering things that can increase magical power everywhere. Saint Fruit is one of them." Kate asked casually, "What do you want in exchange?"
"I haven't thought of anything yet. We can talk about it later," Qin Yi said after tilting his head and thinking for a moment. He was not short of money right now. There was still a huge pile of gems in the space. He really could not think of anything he lacked.
Kate froze, but he was deeply moved by Qin Yi's trust. He immediately said bluntly, "That works too. You can rest assured about my credit. The credit of Plane Merchants throughout the universe is quite good."
Qin Yi nodded noncommittally, packed the sweet potatoes into a sack, and sent them over. Then he said with a smile, "It's fine. We'll be dealing with each other for a long time yet. Just tell me if you need anything. Besides being partners, we're friends too!"
"Of course!" Kate's eyes gleamed. This was the first time he had heard a Plane Merchant call someone a friend. Qin Yi's innocent immaturity struck him as something fresh and novel. He immediately laughed. "Come to me if you have any problems in the future. I've been around among Plane Merchants for quite a while, after all, so I can get things done in most places."
"No problem." Qin Yi gave Kate a baffled look, unable to understand why he was so excited.
"Oh, right. I've connected your mental fluctuation to my Plane Network. In the future, you can participate whenever there's a large-scale plane trade fair. That would be quite beneficial to you," Kate suddenly said.
"My mental fluctuation?" Qin Yi's heart skipped a beat, but his expression did not change as he asked.
"Yes." Kate nodded. "By the way, there's a plane trade fair next Thursday. Get ready and join it. Merchants from many planes will show up then, and everyone will bring out specialties from their own planes to trade. Who knows, maybe something will be useful to you. Or you can use your plane's specialties to trade for things you need from other planes."
"A plane trade fair?" Qin Yi hesitated upon hearing that. "Which plane will it be held on?"
Kate gave Qin Yi an odd look, then laughed. "Do you think everyone can travel between planes as freely as you do? It'll be like how we're talking now, except there'll be more Plane Merchants present!"
Only then did Qin Yi relax. So it was like a multimedia video conference on Earth! He had thought he would have to travel to some other plane again. That had scared him to death.
If that were the case, he would not go. He truly did not dare praise Andre's space-travel safety and accuracy.
"Hey, hey, hey! Everyone makes mistakes; even a horse can stumble. Can't you stop holding onto those occasional incidents forever?" Andre hid himself and clamored in Qin Yi's mind.
"All right, then. I'll attend on time," Qin Yi said to Kate, ignoring Andre's defense.
"Fine. I'll notify you then." Kate nodded. "I'll be going now. Contact me if anything comes up."
"Okay, bye-bye!" Qin Yi waved as he watched Kate's image slowly fade away.
"Andre, what did Kate mean by connecting my mental fluctuation? Could it let him lock onto me directly in the future?" Once Kate's soul fluctuation had completely vanished, Qin Yi asked worriedly.
"No. Back then, I just casually made up a segment of mental fluctuation. It wasn't yours at all," Andre replied casually, appearing in the space out of thin air.
"Oh, right. Can you plant sweet potatoes and things like that inside your space?" Thinking of Kate's plane's demand for Saint Fruit, Qin Yi could not help asking.
"..." Andre's face darkened. "You want to plant sweet potatoes in my noble space?"
"Uh..." Qin Yi's face reddened somewhat at Andre's question. "Just set aside a place at random. I was thinking, those things are just sitting around in the space anyway, so..."
"Ah!" Andre shook his head in vexation. Qin Yi only saw a flash before the scene before him changed.
It was like a back garden, filled with flowers and plants Qin Yi had never seen before. Though he did not recognize them, he could vaguely sense how precious and rare they were. Looking at the garden full of extraordinary flowers and exotic herbs, then at the heaps of sweet potatoes, potatoes, radishes, green peppers, apples, pears, and watermelons beneath his feet...
"Well, if it's inconvenient, then forget it," Qin Yi said with his head lowered, rubbing his nose.
"It's fine. I actually like fruit quite a lot too." Seeing Qin Yi's disappointed expression, Andre said something against his heart. Walking over to another orchard, he pointed at the Golden Apple Trees and Heaven-and-Earth Saint Fruit Trees filling the garden. "Do you want to plant them in the flower area here, or in the orchard over there?"
"Huh?" Qin Yi was stunned.
"Here or there?" This time, Andre made it even simpler, merely pointing in two directions.
"Then the orchard," Qin Yi quickly said. Andre snapped his fingers, and the fruits and vegetables on the ground flew over to the orchard by themselves. They found a small patch of empty land and buried all the seeds in it.
"Done!" Once all the seeds were buried, Andre clapped his hands and said with a smile, "Unless something unexpected happens, they'll bear fruit by the time we come back tomorrow."
"So fast?" Qin Yi's eyes widened.
"Of course. This is my space!" Andre said proudly.
"Hehe..." Just as Qin Yi was about to say something, a fluctuation suddenly passed through the space. Andre said in astonishment, "It's actually a warning from that simulated consciousness. What happened outside?"

Chapter 45
Qin Yi blinked and silently returned to his room. Seeing the other three people in the dormitory obediently lying in their gaming pods, he quietly lay down as well. His vision blurred, and he returned to the Virtual Network. Yet the sight before him gave Qin Yi a tremendous fright.
The Rookie One he had been using had already been scrapped. Its chest had been blasted open by some unknown attack, realistic smoke still rising from it. Qin Yi's own avatar stood blankly beside the mech. Before him, Xiao Suo and the other two were confronting several people across from them with fierce momentum.
Qin Yi focused and examined them. At some point, three mechs had appeared on the other side: one crimson-red and two blue-black. Though Qin Yi did not know much about the mechs of this plane, he could tell from their appearance that they were far more advanced than the Rookie One he had used. He could not help finding it strange. It was like seeing a burly man wielding an AK-47 bully a three-year-old child with bare hands. Did they have no shame?
"Hmph! You have no skills yourself, yet you say someone else bullied you. What a joke." A young girl's voice came from the red mech, making Qin Yi even more puzzled.
"Do I know you?" Qin Yi asked suspiciously.
"You—" The question stunned the girl, only making her angrier. She said arrogantly, "No matter which vixen gave birth to you, you bastard still aren't worthy of my aunt. I truly don't understand it. You're nothing but trash, so why did Uncle Qin abandon my aunt for you!"
Qin Yi was utterly confused. Yet he understood in his heart that this was one of his cheap father's romantic debts. Shaking his head helplessly, he said, "Although I don't know who this aunt of yours is, the beam above is crooked, so the beam below is crooked. With a niece like you who can't tell black from white, she can't be much of a good person either. Dad's decision to leave her was truly wise."
"What did you say?" The girl flew into a rage. The red mech raised its right arm and aimed it at the defenseless Qin Yi.
"What are you trying to do?" Xiao Suo asked coldly. His body instinctively moved in front of Qin Yi. "You caught us off guard just now and exploited an opening. If you think you can still hurt Qin Yi in front of us, you're being far too arrogant."
"Xiao Suo, this has nothing to do with you. Move aside," the girl shouted unhappily. "For a piece of trash like him, do you want to go against our Solomon Family?"
"I would rather ask whether you informed the Solomon elders of what you're doing now. I'll return those words to you, Amy. Do you really want to go against our Xiao Family?" Xiao Suo snorted coldly and said disdainfully.
"And our Chen Family." Chen Mo casually added from the side.
"And our Su Family." Nemesis stepped forward as well, unwilling to be left out.
"You—" Amy Solomon was so angry that she stomped her feet, yet she did not dare go too far. She could only stare straight at Qin Yi past the three of them. "If you're a man, don't hide behind others. Do you dare duel me?"
Qin Yi rubbed his nose and shrugged. "I'm terribly sorry, but I don't make a habit of hitting women."
"Hmph!" Amy Solomon curled her lip disdainfully. "Stop flattering yourself. You're just a country bumpkin who has only just touched a mech. You think you can beat me?"
"You know I only just touched a mech," Qin Yi said slowly and evenly. "So you're picking the soft persimmon to squeeze. What I don't understand is, why don't you dare go after my dad?"
"You—" Amy Solomon was left speechless by Qin Yi's words. After thinking for a long while, she finally sneered. "Fine, I won't take advantage of you either. Tell me what you know how to do, and I'll compete with you in that!"
Qin Yi truly felt speechless. The things he knew, this little girl definitely would not know. For example, alchemy and artifact refining—could she do those?
Seeing Qin Yi remain silent, Amy Solomon grew even smugger. "What, nothing to say now, right? I say you're just trash. How about this? If you admit you're trash, I guarantee I won't trouble you again in the future. Otherwise—"
Amy Solomon's voice suddenly lowered. "I'll beat you every time I see you."
Qin Yi found it increasingly amusing and stopped paying attention to Amy Solomon. Instead, he said to his three roommates, "It's getting late. How about we wash up and go to bed?"
"You want to run—" Before Amy could finish, her center of gravity suddenly vanished. When she turned back, her mech's feet had already left the ground. An eerie force dragged it into the air, and even the cannon fire she had been building up cooled down. Terror filled her heart.
Qin Yi smiled at Amy and said in a good mood, "I'm not running. I just want to sleep."
