After the lodging arrangements were settled, the families followed the usual custom and went out for a simple meal together. During dinner, Qin Yi learned that the other three were not, as he had assumed, music majors. Xiao Suo was in the mecha department, Chen Mo in command, and Nemesis in a mind-control department Qin Yi had never even heard of. Still, it probably had something to do with mental power. After asking around, Qin Yi found that aside from him, a music major in the combat support department, the other three were all in combat departments. This made the three families' looks toward Qin Yi even stranger.
Fortunately, no one brought it up at the table. Otherwise, Qin Huai would probably have bristled!
Qin Yi glanced at Qin Huai, who radiated the fierce aura of a mother leopard guarding her cub, and sighed inwardly.
By the time dinner was over, it was already past ten at night. After saying goodbye to their parents, the four of them headed back to the dormitory. Nemesis was quiet the whole way, while Qin Yi, Chen Mo, and Xiao Suo chatted freely. In less than half a day, they were already calling each other brothers, giving Qin Yi a strong sense of reminiscing about his college days in his previous life.
Boys' friendships might not arrive as suddenly and inexplicably as girls', but they tended to be steadier and more loyal. Once they returned to the dormitory and started playing virtual games together, that became even more apparent. Even Nemesis, who had initially seemed somewhat out of place, visibly warmed up.
Poor Qin Yi had been a spoiled young master on Earth who knew a little of everything, yet after arriving in this technologically advanced plane, he had become a country bumpkin. Not even knowing how to enter a game, he thick-skinnedly endured the astonished looks from the other three, as if they were staring at God, and clumsily adapted.
Fortunately, Chen Mo and Xiao Suo were patient, teaching Qin Yi bit by bit how to operate the system. Nemesis did not say anything, but he quietly waited nearby as Qin Yi gradually familiarized himself with it. By the time Qin Yi could smoothly control Rookie One to walk, it was nearly midnight.
Although tomorrow was visiting day and there were no classes, Qin Yi still felt a little embarrassed. He immediately smiled and said, "How about you guys go play first? I'll practice some more on my own."
A mecha that could not even run, and could barely walk at a slow, swaying pace, could not properly play a game anyway!
"It's fine. I don't have anything to do, so I can browse the forums and answer questions for points while keeping you company," Chen Mo said first. Before leaving, his parents had privately told him to get along well with Qin Yi. He did not know why, but he did not dislike this nice-natured, if somewhat clueless, person at all, and was happy to follow his parents' instructions.
Xiao Suo also said he had nothing to do. While Qin Yi practiced walking, Xiao Suo repeatedly practiced Disorderly Waveform Leap nearby. Qin Yi watched Xiao Suo's smooth, handsome movements with envy, his teeth itching with resentment.
As for Nemesis—he said nothing, merely standing quietly beside Qin Yi. Seeing this, Qin Yi knew Nemesis had no intention of leaving the group either, so he stopped trying to persuade him. Better to hurry up and practice walking! The sooner he became familiar with the mecha, the more he could cherish everyone's time.
And so time passed as Qin Yi controlled Rookie One, staggering and stumbling along...
Near two in the morning, Qin Yi, mechanically operating the mecha, suddenly froze. His mental power burst outward as he sensed an incredible transformation within his body. Shocked beyond measure, he connected with Andre in the spatial realm...

Chapter 44: Worship Power
Chapter 44
Beyond the reach of his vision, countless specks of gentle milky-white light filled the sky above the entire planet, drifting from unknown places toward First Military Academy Affiliated School and entering Qin Yi's body. The Dragon-Controlling Art, which had not circulated in a long time, began to move on its own. All the white specks transformed into pure power and flowed into Andre's spatial realm. In an instant, points of light surrounded Andre, wrapping him in a cocoon of light. Moments later, the cocoon vanished, and Qin Yi keenly noticed that Andre's body had become much more solid.
"Is this Faith Power?" Qin Yi asked with a raised brow.
"No, this is Worship Power, a level lower than Faith Power. But after being converted through the Dragon-Controlling Art, it becomes Faith Power by the time it reaches me." Andre closed his eyes to sense it for a moment before speaking. "As expected, the mental power of people from higher planes is stronger, and the Worship Power they provide is more substantial."
"Worship Power? Why would there be Worship Power?" Qin Yi felt rather bewildered. It was completely inexplicable.
Hearing this, Andre closed his eyes and concentrated. Divine Power spread across the entire planet like ocean waves. A moment later, he opened his eyes and gave Qin Yi a strange look. "It's because of The Legend of Qin."
"The Legend of Qin?" Qin Yi found it both funny and absurd. He immediately opened his light brain and entered his writing management page. He found that the clicks had already climbed to first place in the rankings, and a huge number of comments had appeared below the message section. Most were probably praising how well The Legend of Qin was written. Qin Yi impatiently skimmed through them, and there were also messages from people claiming to be editors trying to recruit him, all of which he ignored. After exiting the light brain, he smiled at Andre. "It's unexpected, but the result is pretty good."
"Of course it is. Young man, you need to work hard!" Andre had just gathered Faith Power and was in an excellent mood. Hearing Qin Yi's words, he laughed heartily and patted Qin Yi on the shoulder.
"Hey? If writing books can do this, then if I sing and make movies like those celebrities on Earth, would I gain even more Worship Power?" A thought suddenly struck Qin Yi, and he immediately asked excitedly.
There was no helping it. When he had been with Qin Rong before, he had not needed to think about anything. But now that he had encountered a spacetime turbulence and ended up in this unknown place, he had no choice but to work hard to gather Faith Power. What if Qin Rong became anxious when he could not wait for him two years later?
"That would work too." Andre nodded. No matter what he did, as long as he could gather Faith Power, it was fine. Suddenly thinking of something, Andre said, "Right, when are you going to deal with that statue at the school gate that's filled with Faith Power?"
"Now would be best!" Qin Yi looked at the sky outside. It was probably already two or three in the morning, when everyone was deeply asleep. "But what about Chen Mo and the others?"
If he suddenly disappeared or logged off, they would notice something was wrong, wouldn't they?
"That's no problem." Andre said it casually. With a flick of his hand, a little figure identical to Qin Yi appeared in the spatial realm. "Let him play in your place for a while."
Qin Yi curiously circled the little figure that looked exactly like himself, then chuckled. "What is this?"
"This is a consciousness simulated with Divine Power." Andre grinned. "He has no ability to think independently, but if you want him to do something, you only need to input the instructions when creating him."
"I understand!" Qin Yi nodded. "Then let him operate the light brain for now! You and I will go to the statue."
"Okay!" As soon as Andre finished speaking, the little figure transformed into Qin Yi vanished with a whoosh. Qin Yi looked at his light brain. On the Virtual Network, Rookie One, controlled by Qin Yi, began moving clumsily again.
All of this sounded lengthy, but it had happened in only an instant. The other three did not notice anything unusual about Qin Yi, and he let out a sigh of relief. He signaled for Andre to control the spatial realm and fly toward the school gate.
No matter the plane or planet, deep night was always quiet. In the silent stillness of night, the stars glittered across the sky, carrying a tranquil peace. Qin Yi cautiously approached the statue. Moonlight spilled down, draping the statue in a silvery veil and making it seem even quieter and gentler.
Qin Yi appeared out of thin air before the statue, looking around furtively.
"What are you afraid of? No one within thirty miles is paying attention to you." In the spatial realm, Andre rolled his eyes and lazily mocked him.
"Nonsense. Do you know what it means to have a guilty conscience?" Qin Yi rolled his eyes. Last time, in Kate's plane, Qin Rong had been by his side, so of course he had not cared. If anything went wrong, Qin Rong would cover for him! But this time, he was alone!
"What's there to be afraid of?" Andre sneered. "Even if someone sees you come to the statue, who would know you're here to collect Faith Power? I'll quietly absorb all the Faith Power in the statue. They won't notice."
"All right." Qin Yi agreed helplessly and pressed his palm against the statue. The statue's icy touch made him shudder. Then a warm force surged out from the statue, entering his body through his arm, circulating through the strange meridians and eight channels within him before entering Andre's spatial realm.
Under Andre's careful control, the entire process was silent. There was none of the commotion from Kate's plane, which pleased Qin Yi greatly. About half an hour later, the power surging from the statue gradually weakened before finally disappearing completely. Qin Yi opened his eyes. He knew Andre had stolen all the Faith Power.
"Hey, hey, what do you mean, stolen? That sounds terrible! I'm making the best use of resources!" Andre shouted indignantly from the spatial realm.
"All right, let's get back quickly!" Qin Yi looked around again, then used his spiritual sense to inspect the area. Seeing that there truly was no one nearby, he immediately slipped quietly into Andre's spatial realm and returned to the dormitory.
"So, how does it feel?" In the spatial realm, Qin Yi looked at Andre, who had completely solidified into a physical form, and asked with a smile.
Hearing this, Andre gave a sly grin, rubbed Qin Yi's arm with his hand, and said with a smile, "I've condensed into a physical form."
"Then can we return to Rainbow Continent?" Qin Yi's eyes lit up as he asked.
"Uh..." Andre scratched his head awkwardly. "Xiao Yi, can I discuss something with you?"
"What is it?" Qin Yi asked suspiciously.
"I've found that the overall physical and mental qualities of people here are generally higher than those on other continents. You can write novels and sing, so it's easier to obtain Worship Power here, and the Faith Power converted from it is of better quality." Andre hesitated for a long time.
"What exactly are you trying to say?" Qin Yi touched his nose and blinked.
"Since Qin Rong is in seclusion and you won't be able to see him even if you go back, why not stay in this plane and gather more Faith Power?" Andre let out a breath and blurted it all out. "You know I was framed and exiled before I met you. Qin Rong has also offended someone so powerful. If we aren't strong enough in the future..."
"I understand." Qin Yi smiled and took over Andre's words. "Since I won't be able to see Qin Rong even if I return to Rainbow Continent, let's stay here for now! I can't always let my brother protect me. I should work hard too, so I won't hold him back!"
"Yes, yes, that's exactly what I mean." Andre echoed with a smile. "And for some reason, I always vaguely feel that Ying Zheng, whom we met before on Rainbow Continent, Hu Hai, whom we have yet to meet in this plane, and my fate are somehow connected. I want to figure this out."
Qin Yi felt the same way about Andre's words. At first, he had thought it was merely his own wild imagination, but if Andre felt the same way...
He remembered Fusu mentioning before that cultivators who reached great mastery often possessed an inexplicable, mysterious sixth sense. He did not know just how powerful Andre had once been, but since Ying Zheng had not noticed his existence at all, Andre had to be far stronger than Ying Zheng.
