History

Creation and early order

Pangu created the Primordial World, while the Chaos Treasures involved in the creation of heaven and earth shattered and scattered throughout it. The Heaven-Opening Divine Axe became the Pangu Banner, Taiji Diagram, and Chaos Bell; the Creation Jade Butterfly likewise broke into fragments across the world. 39

In its early era, innate spiritual energy was abundant and living beings throughout the world were taking form. Lightning tribulations had not yet become an established phenomenon, making the Three Skies' transformation tribulation an abnormal event caused by Dragon Clan Karmic Power. 1

Reincarnation and the Netherworld

The Primordial Reincarnation Land existed naturally rather than being created by Houtu. Lingering souls are filtered through the Boundless Blood Sea and Ninety-Ninefold Netherworld until only true spirits remain, after which they reincarnate among the world's races. 76

Houtu's intended transformation into Reincarnation was meant to create a sustainable refuge for the Witch Race. Zhao Gongming later treated the existing reincarnation system as the foundation for a larger Netherworld World capable of serving the Myriad Heavens and Ten Thousand Realms. 77

Virtual Universe and restoration

Zhao Gongming and the Interception Sect sorted out much of the world's earth veins and spiritual veins, then used them as the foundation for the Primordial Virtual Universe World. The Virtual Universe existed between illusion and reality while blanketing the Primordial World. 103 104

The Heavenly Dao recognized the Virtual Universe's establishment with immense Merit. It allowed living beings to enter through its network, trade resources across distance, and use a universal currency system. 105

The Virtual Universe later enabled the Western Development Campaign, which mobilized Golden Immortal cultivators and above to restore the western earth veins and spiritual veins in exchange for currency formed from condensed mana and Dao comprehension. 115

Tribulations and decline

The Final Witch-Demon War devastated the Primordial World through the clash between the Pangu True Form and the Chaos Star Deity. The resulting damage forced the Witch and Demon Clans to withdraw from the world's stage. 121 122 123

After the skies were damaged, the Black Tortoise's shell was refined into a repair for them. The Heavenly Dao subsequently distributed Merit among Zhao Gongming, the world’s restoration, the Black Tortoise, and the Sages. 126

Hongjun later named the Human Race the protagonist of the next Heaven-Earth Tribulation, while the Investiture of the Gods Cataclysm developed toward the inevitable shattering of the Eternal Primordial World. 126 138

Shattering and transcendence

Zhao Gongming's attempt to evolve the Netherworld World and establish Myriad Heavens Reincarnation directly challenged the Primordial World's Heavenly Dao, since it would remove the Underworld's reincarnation system from its jurisdiction. 196 197

During the final conflict, the Heavenly Dao drew upon the world's power against Zhao Gongming. Its loss of control left the Primordial World without Heavenly Dao protection, and the world shattered amid Dao Ancestor- and Heavenly Dao Realm-level forces. 198

Zhao Gongming refined four-fifths of the shattered world's area into the Myriad Heavens World, raising that world to the Heavenly Dao Realm. The completed Netherworld World became the reincarnation site of the Myriad Heavens and Ten Thousand Realms under Great Dao Laws. 198
