Background / History

Qian Jue is a transmigrator who arrived during the Peerless Tang Clan era. He awakened the Fallen Angel Martial Soul with innate soul power at level twenty, rose to Titled Douluo before turning twenty, and accepted a system that promised a divine position upon completion of every Demon Trial 2.

Ten years before his reappearance, Shrek Academy's forces cornered him near the Star Dou Great Forest. Qian Jue remembers the event as an attempted killing led by Mu En and three Super Douluos; Mu En later reveals that he had intended to recruit Qian Jue, but Xuan Zi and Yan Shaozhe altered the operation into an attack because of their prejudice against darkness martial souls 5 8. Qian Jue survived, staged his death to satisfy Zagred's fourth trial, and remained dormant underground for years 2.

He awakened when Shrek Inner Court disciples disturbed his resting place while fighting the 100,000-year Bloodthirsty Dragon Lizard. Qian Jue incapacitated the beast with one strike, saved Zhang Lexuan, humiliated Xuan Zi, and held Zhang hostage while demanding one billion Gold Soul Coins and ten 100,000-year Soul Bones from Shrek 1 4 6.

His resentment toward Shrek escalated into an assault on Sea God Island. He used the Bell of the Dead against Shrek personnel, killed Yan Shaozhe with Fallen Heaven's Feathers, and fought Mu En after Mu En borrowed the Golden Tree's power to enter the Demigod Realm 18 19 21. Mu En's final ultimate-light attack severely injured Qian Jue and suppressed his Demon Domain, but Lilith extracted him to the Underworld before he could die 24.

After three years cultivating in the Underworld, Qian Jue returned with eight Fallen Angel wings and peak Rank 98 cultivation. He killed Holy Spirit Cult members who attempted to claim affiliation with him, again defeated Xuan Zi, and later fought Sea God Clan patriarch Chen Hai for three days. The clash ended in a draw despite Chen Hai wielding God Rank power through the Sea God Helmet, disrupting the continent's balance of power 26 27 35.

Qian Jue is a tall, pale, exceptionally handsome young man with an aloof presence. Though he is only slightly over thirty, his appearance and aura make him seem detached from ordinary Soul Masters 1 8.

Personality

Qian Jue is cold, proud, and openly contemptuous of those he considers weak, hypocritical, or beneath him. He routinely taunts opponents during battle, especially Xuan Zi and Shrek Academy, whose past attempt on his life drives much of his hostility 3 17 29.

He is manipulative and enjoys provoking Zhang Lexuan, using threats, blackmail, and humiliation to control her while framing his actions as lessons about Shrek's hypocrisy 12 15. His confidence borders on narcissism; he dismisses the possibility of losing and claims that his talent exceeds Tang San's 13 20.

Despite his ruthless conduct, Qian Jue rejects indiscriminate slaughter solely for power. When the fifth trial requires mass deaths, he refuses to target civilians and chooses the Holy Spirit Cult as a target he considers deserving of punishment 7. His treatment of Tang Ya similarly reflects his belief that power should be used to pursue vengeance rather than passive helplessness 15 16.
