She folded up the newspaper and looked up to see three faces filled with both worry and anger. Half her irritation vanished at once.
She realized that all her friends around her had grown either handsome or beautiful. It felt like heaven—no matter how angry someone was, seeing those faces would make them smile, okay?

Blaise ran a hand through his hair and suddenly pulled a rose from inside his robes. "Ya Ya's flirting techniques have improved quite a bit."
Muya accepted the rose. "I'm just telling the truth, okay?"
"Oh, miss, gentlemen, would you like some snacks?" The witch pushing the trolley called out enthusiastically from the doorway.
