"Ya Ya, how's the progress on the glasses?" Fred and George came to find Muya after History of Magic.
"Almost done." Muya looked up at them and smiled. "I need you two to cast some spells."
The two nodded.
After a while, Muya placed the glasses on the floor and held out her right hand. "Give them a try. Um... just cast a few attack spells."
"Aha, I'll go first." Fred snatched out his wand a second ahead of George, then cast several spells.
Muya went over to inspect them. The glasses had not suffered any damage, and she gave the two of them an OK sign.
"Now it's my turn." George rolled his wrist, tossed his wand into the air, and caught it again.
A minute later.
"I hereby declare the experiment a success." Muya clapped her hands.
The spellproof glasses were finished, but to avoid the Basilisk's eyes, she had prepared three pairs of enhanced glasses just to be safe.
"Hey, I look so cool!"
"Me too! This is absolutely brilliant!"
The two wore the glasses and looked at each other as though they were mirrors, while Muya began her grand glasses-copying project beside them.
The next day, as soon as the glasses went on sale, many students came over to take a look. When they heard that the glasses could block spells, they were skeptical. It was not until the Weasley twins demonstrated them personally that they believed it.
Still, some people thought that with Dumbledore at Hogwarts, they had nothing to fear. These glasses were completely unnecessary.
Others bought a pair as a precaution.
