Muya and Hermione went to the library again and studied for another hour.

"Hermione, I have to go to class!" Muya waved goodbye to Hermione.

"Mm-hmm, go ahead, Mya Mu. See you next time."

"See you next time, Little Rabbit Teacher." Muya giggled and walked away, leaving Hermione hiding her bright red face behind a book.

"Honestly..."

"Hannah, Susan, Shalian! I'm back!"

"Where did you run off to? Thought you weren't coming to class?" Shalian patted Muya's head.

"Alright, alright, Mya Mu, put your books down and grab your cauldron and Potions textbook." Susan was adjusting her robes.

"Don't forget your robes." Hannah reminded her.

"Okay, okay, I'll be quick." Muya hurriedly set down her books to show off her packing speed.

Muya quickly threw on her robes, stuffed her books into the cauldron, and walked out of the dormitory with Shalian and the others.

"I heard Professor Snape is especially scary." Hannah whispered to the other three.

"Professor Snape only favors Slytherin students and especially hates Gryffindor." Susan chimed in.

Hearing this, Muya's cheerful mood evaporated. Great, she'd been happy too soon.

When they reached the Potions classroom in the dungeon, all four of them couldn't help rubbing their arms. "Merlin, it's freezing down here. Won't we get rheumatism?" Muya couldn't help complaining.

"Let's sit in the second-to-last row." Muya said, following her gut.

The other three shrugged helplessly. ¬_¬`

As soon as class started, a swath of black fabric brushed past Muya with a gust of wind.

A dark figure appeared at the front. Professor Snape was a very thin man. "Why haven't you opened your timetables to see what your first lesson is?" He glanced in Muya's direction from the corner of his eye.

Muya immediately opened it and sat up straight. Getting the teacher's attention in the very first class—that was not a good thing.

"Miss Muya." Sure enough... Muya wanted to cry but had no tears. She had no choice but to stand up obediently. "...Professor."

"What potion is needed to brew a Scabious Potion?"

What potion? What was Professor Snape talking about? Teacher Hermione hadn't taught her that!

"Uh... Sorry, Professor, my English isn't very good yet. I can't understand what you're saying." Muya said awkwardly. The three beside her facepalmed.

Snape frowned, his tone icy. "Hufflepuff loses one point. Additionally, starting tomorrow, you will serve detention in my office for one week. I hope Miss Muya can understand my lectures within that week, unless your head is filled with Kneazle Grass."

Muya sat down with a bitter face. Great. Who else was more awesome than her? Docked points for her house in the very first Potions class and earned a week of detention. Yay, she was so awesome.

"Now, follow the steps in your books to brew the Scabious Potion. I don't want to see a situation like Gryffindor's." His eyes swept over every student in the room.

"Hannah, weigh the Dried Nettle. Susan, crush the Snake Fangs. I'll stew the horned slugs." Shalian looked at the book and assigned everyone's tasks.

Muya pointed at herself. "Shalian, what do I need to do?"

"Oh, Mya Mu, all you have to do is help us stir the cauldron."

That's it? Fine, she liked slacking off.

Muya noticed that other groups were working in pairs. Having four people in their group seemed a bit off.

After Snape finished "spitting venom" at each student, he walked straight over to their table. He just took one look, snorted at Muya, and left.

And he left with his robes swishing, like a big black bat.

Huh? He didn't say anything to them? Was he targeting her! Muya felt she had figured it out.

"Boom!" A cauldron from one Hufflepuff group exploded. Luckily, the potion didn't splash on anyone, because Professor Snape had cast a shield over them.

"Idiots! Why don't you use your knowledge-deficient heads to read the book properly? If I had been a second later, all of you here would be in the School Hospital."

"Hufflepuff loses three points for the two gentlemen's careless mistake of not reading." Snape waved his hand, and all the potion on the floor and desks was cleaned up.

"In three minutes, everyone hand in your finished potion." Snape returned to the front, took out a piece of paper, and started writing something.

"Uh... Shalian, do I still need to stir?" Muya felt her arms trembling.

"No need. Let go." Shalian held a bottle, filled it with some potion, and handed it to Snape.

"Acceptable. Hufflepuff gains one point."

Before class ended, Snape assigned them an essay. Everyone had to write it except Muya—after all, what could her half-baked English produce? Snape didn't expect her to write anything.

"Miss Muya, don't forget tonight's detention. Class dismissed!" Snape glanced at Muya, who was rubbing her arms.

"Oh..." Looking at the deflated Muya, Hannah and the others didn't know what to say to comfort her.

"It looks like it's almost dinner time. Should we head to the Great Hall now?" Susan ventured.

"Yes, let's go!" Hearing that, Muya instantly perked back up.

Tonight's food was a bit different: egg custard, sweet and sour ribs, candied sweet potatoes, sweet and sour fish... They looked like vaguely familiar Chinese dishes, but... why was everything sweet?!

Everyone at the professors' table glanced at the food, then turned to look at Headmaster Dumbledore.

"Haha, all of this was made from a recipe book brought over by Ya's family." Dumbledore was eating with great relish himself, while the other professors winced with every bite.

"I think perhaps every sweet-related dish from that recipe book is right here. I hope we won't have a crowd running to the School Hospital asking for Tooth-strengthening potion." Snape took a few bites and felt his teeth sticking together. "Not everyone shares your fondness for these cloyingly sweet things, Old Bee."

"Oh, very well, Severus. Next time I'll have the elves make something else." Dumbledore gave in after seeing Muya wolfing down food and then chugging milk.

But he could privately ask the house-elves to prepare custom dishes for himself. A smile crept back onto his face. Snape saw that expression and knew exactly what he was thinking.

"I advise you not to. Otherwise, I won't be supplying you with Tooth-strengthening potion every month." Seeing Dumbledore's smile falter, Snape curled his lips maliciously.

"Ya, today's food really is sweet enough..." Seeing Cedric's pained expression, Muya couldn't help asking, "Huh? You don't like sweets?"

Cedric paused, then smiled and replied, "No, I can eat them occasionally, but I've never had this many in one day."

"Alright. The other day I saw so many desserts in front of you, I thought you liked sweets." Muya scratched her head, already planning in her mind how she'd beat up whoever suggested having this many sweet dishes for dinner. She didn't want cavities!
