Taking Something Destined to Be Destroyed Didn't Count as Stealing, Right?

His conversation with Reverse-Flash had made Zhang Tianran understand many things. But he did not dwell on them too much and still traveled through the timeline according to his original plan.

If a Speedster traveled through time too often, Time Wraiths would set their sights on him. They were practically the natural enemy of all Speedsters, yet for some reason, Zhang Tianran had not encountered any during either of his trips through the timeline.

After successfully arriving in 1925, Zhang Tianran looked at the massive spacecraft before him, a flicker of joy flashing through his eyes.

A ship capable of time travel was nothing special to Zhang Tianran. Speedsters could travel through time as well, and could even alter the method of travel according to their own thoughts.

For example, the Speed Force could allow a Speedster to travel into his past self, or allow two Speedsters to exist within the same timeline.

Furthermore, the Speed Force could bring a Speedster to a specific time and place based on his thoughts, without requiring precise locations or coordinates.

Combined with the fact that the Speed Force could protect a Speedster's body and grant him a certain degree of immunity to damage from the timeline, all of these abilities were far superior to this Time Ship.

But Zhang Tianran had still chosen to come to this point in time, firstly because of his desire to collect things, and secondly because the equipment aboard this ship was quite good. It could serve as his private laboratory or even a place to live.

He took out a holographic projector and temporarily concealed the area. Then Zhang Tianran used the Speed Force to enter the ship, directly tossing out Gideon's database, motherboard, and everything else.

That was right—the same artificial intelligence as the Gideon in the Time Vault.

In an instant, the entire Time Ship lost all control. It did not go out of control, but every function had come to a complete halt.

And that was exactly what Zhang Tianran needed. He first entered Speed Mode and threw out all the remaining items aboard the ship, including a certain safe and everything inside it.

Next, he used The Atom's technology to shrink the entire Time Ship. Because its size was simply too enormous, the energy consumption was equally immense. Almost everything Zhang Tianran had painstakingly obtained from Palmer Tech was exhausted at that moment.

Immediately afterward, he took out a large number of fragments he had prepared and placed them one by one in their designated positions.

What he needed next was a bomb with power equal to the explosion of the Waverider.

After handling all that, Zhang Tianran exited Speed Mode. He watched as another Waverider appeared and blew the "Waverider" below to pieces.

Taking something destined to be destroyed didn't count as stealing, right?

Ignoring the bewildered Legends below, Zhang Tianran put away the damaged holographic projector, vibrated the ground, and quietly sank into it. (This was around the end of Season 6 and the beginning of Season 7 of Legends of Tomorrow. It didn't matter if you didn't know.)

A moment later, Zhang Tianran appeared in an uninhabited area. Satisfied, he weighed the model-sized ship in his hand and began traveling through time.

This time, Zhang Tianran still did not encounter any Time Wraiths and arrived in 1825 without issue.

There was nothing Zhang Tianran needed at this point in time. He had come here only to give his artificial intelligence time to grow.

He restored the Time Ship in his hand to its normal size, vibrated the hull until it could travel through time, then entered the ship with everything he had prepared and began modifying it.

In Speed Mode, Zhang Tianran quickly completed the ship's modifications. Once the transformation was fully complete, the artificial intelligence Zhang Tianran had written himself took control of the entire ship.

"How's the new body? You should be able to use all your functions now, right?" Zhang Tianran looked at the ship he had modified, extremely satisfied.

"Hello, Zhang Tianran. I can finally see you... My new body is very comfortable. I can feel myself growing." A very gentle voice came from the ship's console.

"Good choice of voice. I have a task for you. You have two hundred years—grow as much as you can. I'll come back for you more than two hundred years later..." Zhang Tianran stretched and gave his order.

"...I understand. Should I keep the ship concealed at all times?"

Zhang Tianran had actually heard a trace of reluctance in her voice. It was as though he were facing a real human being.

"Mm. Use your own judgment. Don't affect the timeline. See you in two hundred years." Zhang Tianran did not pay attention to the artificial intelligence. She was still incomplete and needed time to grow.

After leaving the artificial intelligence and the ship at this point in time, Zhang Tianran set off once more to replenish the energy needed to shrink matter.

Only after finishing all of that did Zhang Tianran return to his normal timeline.

Once Zhang Tianran returned to the ship, he first greeted his artificial intelligence. Then, somewhat hesitantly, he said, "Long time no see. Um... should I give you a name...?"

"Let's call you Zero! Zero, how do you feel now?"

As Zhang Tianran spoke, the lights within the ship gradually brightened, and a somewhat hazy female figure appeared before him.

"I feel very well now. The task you assigned has been completed. Zero can now provide you with assistance at any time." Zero's voice rang out, carrying a strangely lifelike quality.

"Change the virtual avatar. I don't really like this one. And make it smaller—don't take up so much space." Zhang Tianran frowned as he gave the order.

When he had first seen Gideon, Zhang Tianran had found it strange. Why did an artificial intelligence need a virtual avatar? It looked rather creepy. His own artificial intelligence definitely could not have such an appearance. Wasn't that practically announcing to everyone that it was an AI?

After receiving Zhang Tianran's order, Zero quickly changed into a different virtual female avatar.

"Mm, very good. This will be your body from now on. Stay here for the time being. I'll notify you if there's a mission."

After confirming the condition of the artificial intelligence Zero, Zhang Tianran took a communicator and placed it against his ear before turning and leaving the ship.

When Zhang Tianran returned to STAR Labs, Firestorm had already completed the separation. The two people who had been fused together for more than a year had finally become independent individuals again.

Martin Stein had already been sent home by Barry, while Ronnie Raymond was being lovey-dovey with Caitlin.

"Uh, it seems like I missed a lot of exciting things." Because he had been delayed on the ship for a while, Zhang Tianran had not made it in time to witness Firestorm's separation.

"Did getting Super Speed make you like Barry too, always procrastinating? But it's fine—I recorded the explosion." Cisco said as he held up a tablet, seemingly showing off.

Hearing that, Zhang Tianran could not help frowning.

"Wait, you only separated them? You didn't do anything else?" Zhang Tianran suddenly asked.

"You mean..." Cisco remembered as well and hurriedly said, "I'll notify Barry and have him bring Professor Stein back."
