The Proper Way to Use the Speed Force

When Barry arrived at Martin Stein's home, Stein had already vanished.

"Cisco, I couldn't find Professor Stein. He seemed to have... suddenly disappeared," Barry said hesitantly.

Barry had only just brought Martin Stein home. It had been less than an hour, yet he was gone.

Upon hearing this, Cisco immediately checked the public cameras around Martin Stein's home, but found nothing. It was as if he had vanished into thin air.

"Forget it. Have Barry come back. It looks like someone else has set their sights on Firestorm. Deterrence comparable to a nuclear explosion is indeed worth noticing," Zhang Tianran said calmly.

Over the communicator, Zero had already informed Zhang Tianran of what had happened, as well as Martin Stein's current location.

He had been taken by the military.

In this world, the emergence of all kinds of superheroes had made the government seem far less significant, but... one should never underestimate the power of a nation.

"Ronnie!!!" Caitlin screamed as Ronnie Raymond suddenly collapsed unconscious without warning.

Cisco hurried over to examine him and quickly confirmed his suspicion.

"Just as I thought, Ronnie and Professor Stein haven't completely separated. Judging from Ronnie's current condition, Professor Stein may have encountered an accident," Cisco said gravely.

Although Caitlin had heard Cisco's assessment, she still crouched beside Ronnie, carefully examining him and trying to wake him with her medical knowledge.

With a gust of wind, Barry Allen appeared before everyone, slightly out of breath as he said dejectedly,

"I searched all of Central City, but I couldn't find any trace of Professor Stein."

Just as everyone was at a loss, Zhang Tianran spoke. "I found a lead. The military took Professor Stein."

As he spoke, Zhang Tianran displayed a surveillance recording. It was private footage from a certain store that had happened to capture a fully armed military unit appearing near Martin Stein's home.

Although it was not direct evidence, the conclusion was already obvious when a small fully armed military unit had appeared there.

"I'm going to rescue Professor Stein..." Barry Allen said without hesitation.

"Calm down, Barry. We still don't know the military's objective or where they are right now," Cisco reminded him.

At that moment, Zhang Tianran suddenly said, "Barry, let me handle this one! You can come with me, but don't interfere."

Zhang Tianran's words left everyone puzzled. They had not even found the location yet.

"Could it be... you found Professor Stein's whereabouts?" A trace of joy immediately appeared on Cisco's face.

Zhang Tianran nodded without explaining how he had found him.

"Dr. Zhang, you only gained your abilities recently. And..." Barry hesitated. It was not that he did not trust Zhang Tianran; he was simply worried.

"One of the Speed Force's techniques: Vibrational Phasing. By using the Speed Force to vibrate your body and reach a certain frequency, you can pass through any obstacle."

"What I'm doing now is merely letting all light pass through our bodies. This is a relatively difficult technique. You can start by trying to pass through walls or something."

After explaining, Zhang Tianran immediately led Barry through every obstacle and into the military base. They quickly found where Martin Stein was being held.

At that moment, General Eiling was interrogating Martin Stein with his subordinates. The old man had only just awakened and had not even figured out what was happening before the military began torturing him.

"They can't see us right now?" Barry asked softly, finding it hard to believe.

"Don't worry, Barry. We're still in Speed Mode. The enemy won't have time to react." As Zhang Tianran spoke, he walked over to General Eiling and lightly tapped his forehead with one finger.

He then did the same to the soldiers present, casually tapping them or giving them a shove.

By the time Zhang Tianran and Barry exited Speed Mode, the only one present who still retained consciousness was Martin Stein, who had only recently awakened.

What had seemed like light touches from Zhang Tianran became powerful impacts in Speed Mode.

"Did you see that, Barry? When facing enemies, don't exit Speed Mode. Defeat them first, then deal with whatever else you need to do. That way, you can avoid being ambushed."
