Waiting to Strike Back
The whole story of Huo Yuhao's ascension to the Divine Realm has a mysterious and ambiguous feel to it.
He cultivated with all his might, striving to become stronger, only to discover in the end that the Divine Realm was not what he had imagined.
He thought that once he ascended to heaven, he could reunite with Tang Wutong and live a good life.
But in reality, after his ascension, he faced an even larger net.
This net contains Tang San, Dai Mubai, Rong Nianbing, the restrictions on Tang Wutong, Huo Yun'er's controlled soul, and Dai Hao's act of repentance.
Every thread was tied to him; moving any one of them would cause him pain.
A cup of tea was placed in front of Ning Tian.
She watched as Lin Ye peeled back the layers of Huo Yuhao's situation in the Divine Realm, and held her teacup in her hand for a long time without moving it.
Ning Tian was thinking about something else: if Huo Yuhao was living such a miserable life in the Divine Realm, why didn't he rebel?
In his earlier diary entries, he wrote that when he was in the mortal realm, he was daring and willing to fight against anyone, but when he arrived in the Divine Realm, he became timid and withdrawn.
Because he couldn't beat Tang San? But Huo Yuhao wasn't the kind of person who would accept his fate just because he couldn't win.
After thinking it over, Ning Tian felt that the answer might be that Huo Yuhao was waiting.
He was waiting for an opportunity, an opportunity to turn the tables.
Ning Tian put down the teacup; the tea had gone cold.
She hoped her guess was right; Huo Yuhao wasn't the type to keep things bottled up forever.
Huo Yuhao is not the kind of person who accepts his fate. He was able to climb from being the illegitimate son of the Duke's Mansion in the lower realm to the position of Deity, all thanks to his indomitable spirit.
Upon arriving in the Divine Realm, he suddenly became docile, which wasn't his usual self. I think Huo Yuhao was waiting—waiting for an opportunity to make his move.
[But where do opportunities come from? The structure of the Divine Realm is more stable than that of the lower realm. Tang San has cultivated it for so many years, and it is deeply rooted.]
It's virtually impossible for Huo Yuhao to change this situation on his own.
Therefore, he needs allies. Who in the Divine Realm could become Huo Yuhao's ally? This is a question worth considering carefully.
Zhang Lexuan sat in her office in the Inner Court, holding a freshly brewed cup of tea.
Upon reading Lin Ye's analysis of Huo Yuhao's potential allies in the Divine Realm, he held his teacup without moving.
Although she didn't understand the Divine Realm, she had handled many affairs between sects during her years at Shrek Inner Court.
She knew that no stable system is monolithic; wherever there are people, there are cracks.
If Huo Yuhao truly wanted to wait for an opportunity in the Divine Realm, then he would probably be waiting for the day the rift appeared.
The first possible candidate is Rong Nianbing.
Rong Nianbing was Huo Yuhao's mentor and also the predecessor of the God of Emotions.
He was very familiar with the rules of the Divine Realm, and his relationship with Tang San was not monolithic.
The Deity in the Divine Realm each have their own factions, and Rong Nianbing and Tang San may not be of one mind.
If there's a conflict between Rong Nianbing and Tang San, then Huo Yuhao has an opportunity to exploit it.
The second possibility is Dai Mubai.
When Dai Mubai forced Huo Yuhao to change his surname, he seemed to be on Tang San's side. However, Dai Mubai was, after all, one of the original Shrek Seven Monsters and had a past relationship with Tang San.
This friendship has lasted for so many years in the Divine Realm; whether it has ever soured or not, no one can say for sure.
Dai Mubai to help Tang San pressure Huo Yuhao may not necessarily be because he and Tang San are staunch allies, but may also be because he needs Tang San's support in the Divine Realm.
If one day Tang San and Dai Mubai's interests no longer align, it's uncertain which side Dai Mubai will side with.
Wang Dong'er's understanding of Dai Mubai was limited to him being one of the First-Generation Seven Monsters and the ancestor of the White Tiger Duke's Estate.
Ke Lin Ye's analysis reminded her of something.
Having spent so many years in the Divine Realm, is Dai Mubai an ally of Tang San or Tang San subordinate? If he is an ally, then his helping Tang San force Huo Yuhao to change his surname was out of a transactional exchange of benefits.
If he was a subordinate, then forcing Huo Yuhao to change his surname would be acting under orders.
In either case, the relationship between Dai Mubai and Tang San is not unbreakable.
Wang Dong'er closed the book and leaned back in her chair. She was thinking that if Huo Yuhao was really waiting for an opportunity, he probably needed to figure out first who was on whom in the Divine Realm.
Another possibility is that they are people in the Divine Realm who are not part of Tang San's faction.
There are so many Deity in the Divine Realm that Tang San couldn't possibly subdue them all. There will always be some who are polite to Tang San on the surface, but may not be convinced of his authority behind his back.
Huo Yuhao is the God of Emotions, First-Level God, and thus carries considerable weight.
If we can gather these scattered forces together, we might be able to give Tang San a run for his money.
However, this is a difficult task because Huo Yuhao has no foundation, no support group, and no intelligence network in the Divine Realm.
He has to start from scratch, while Tang San has been in that position for ten thousand years.
Ma Xiaotao had no concept of the power structure in the Divine Realm, but she knew one thing: when a newcomer wants to gain a foothold in a place, strength alone is not enough; they also need connections.
Huo Yuhao had Shrek, Tang Sect, and the Spirit Pagoda in the lower realm, but he couldn't take these things with him to the Divine Realm.
He was just a lone commander in the Divine Realm, and Tang San could do whatever he wanted with him.
Ma Xiaotao felt that Huo Yuhao's life in the Divine Realm was much harder than in the mortal realm. At least he had friends in the mortal realm, but he had hardly any friends in the Divine Realm.
Let's talk about Tang San's attitude towards the Godhood of God of Emotions.
The God of Emotions is First-Level Godhood who governs the emotions of all things in the world.
This Godhood position wields considerable power and influence.
Tang San arranged for Tang Wutong to be by Huo Yuhao's side and forced Huo Yuhao to change his surname. Were these actions driven by considerations for the Godhood of the God of Emotions? I think so.
If the position of God of Emotions falls into the hands of someone completely under Tang San's control, then Tang San's power in the Divine Realm will be even more secure.
After Huo Yuhao changed his surname to Dai, he nominally became a descendant of Dai Mubai.
Dai Mubai and Tang San have a close relationship, which brings Huo Yuhao under Tang San's control.
Tang San forced Huo Yuhao to change his surname not only to suppress him, but also to recruit him.
Lin Ye's analysis made Jiang Nannan realize that Tang San was a very shrewd person; every step he took was purposeful, and every action he took was calculated.
She had previously thought that Dai Mubai was making things difficult for Huo Yuhao by changing his surname, but now she realized that Tang San was also behind it.
She felt a little sorry for Huo Yuhao; dealing with someone like Tang San was too mentally taxing.
[Another point worth noting is that when Huo Yuhao ascended to the Divine Realm, Tang Wutong was already Divine Realm.]
Tang Wutong ascended to heaven earlier than Huo Yuhao, and she spent more time in the Divine Realm.
Logically speaking, Tang Wutong should have been the first person to meet Huo Yuhao after he arrived in the Divine Realm.
But the first person Huo Yuhao saw after arriving in the Divine Realm wasn't Tang Wutong, but Tang San.
Where is Tang Wutong? Why hasn't she appeared? A reasonable explanation is that Tang San has either distracted Tang Wutong or kept her under control.
Tang San didn't want Tang Wutong to intervene when Huo Yuhao first arrived in the Divine Realm, because if Tang Wutong protected Huo Yuhao, Tang San's plan would be difficult to carry out.
Tang San needs to finish things off with Huo Yuhao first, and then bring Tang Wutong into the picture.
