"Your little sister?"
The courier casually asked, then continued waiting.
"I don't know her. She's just a stranger."
An Yu answered coldly, his voice low but just loud enough for everyone present to hear.
He walked over and gave the last digits of his phone number. After confirming that he was picking it up for a friend, he successfully collected the package.
The courier didn't care who came to collect it. As long as the procedure was correct, that was enough.
"That's mine! Traitor!"
Sirin gritted her teeth. An Yu's indifferent expression stabbed at her nerves—it was exactly like when he abandoned everyone in the dream! This traitor! Dreams and reality were equally heartless!
An Yu softly sighed. He hated kids who lived in their own little worlds the most. He decisively turned around and left, no longer having any desire to take a photo together.
"An Yu, you bastard, stop right there!"
An Yu paused. "You know me?"
Huh? But did I know her?
"Hmph. I wouldn't forget you even if you turned to ashes."
Sirin puffed out her cheeks angrily.
In the dream, she had never abandoned her friends no matter how many times it happened. But An Yu's first sword after reaching shore... his first sword struck down the researchers, and his second sacrificed his friends. She would remember that traitorous behavior for the rest of her life.
"Give me Kiana's package."
She directly stretched out her slender arm and blocked An Yu's path.
An Yu quietly looked at the fuming little brat before him, weighing it over and over.
What was there to think about? He obviously wasn't going to give her the package.
"How old are you this year?" he suddenly asked a very strange question.
Seriously, the boss really dared to write this. So many people from Schicksal had been included. How did she get Schicksal to agree? Just because Kiana was the protagonist?
Schicksal and Anti-Entropy had been feuding for years. More than a decade ago, Anti-Entropy even pulled some dirty tricks and turned Schicksal's major shareholder's childhood sweetheart gay... though Anti-Entropy had always denied doing it.
"That's a secret." Sirin turned her head away.
"Almost thirty, right?"
Even if Sirin didn't say it, An Yu could guess.
He was twenty-five this year. Bronya was a year older than him, twenty-six, right at the golden age of mature women. He'd heard Kiana was in the same university year as the boss, and Sirin was Kiana's older sister.
Sigh. Thinking of that, a hint of pity appeared in An Yu's eyes.
Sirin quietly clenched her fists.
An Yu chuckled. "Because of your figure, nobody's wanted you, right?"
As for her temper still being like that of a child, that was easy to understand. Older unmarried women were all like that. An Yu had even once thought his own older sister was nearing menopause.
But there was nothing bad about that. His older sister had a great figure—curves in all the right places and a slim waist. The big-sister type really did have an advantage! Only someone like Sirin, with no chest and no butt, needed to worry about things like that.
You said Sirin was cute? If he wanted cute, why wouldn't An Yu just have a daughter? Wouldn't that be even cuter?
Fuck! The thing that bothered her most kept being brought up. Veins bulged across Sirin's porcelain-white hand as she felt the strings of her sanity snapping one by one.
"I..."
"Magical girls don't age, right?" An Yu cut her off again.
He knew that line. Lobster Doctor said it often too, as did Professor Planck.
Heh, hehe. Sirin stopped by the window, her pale fingers covering her face and looking faintly pink in the sunlight. Unfortunately, the expression on that delicate little face was truly awful.
She wanted nothing more than to pounce on him and stab An Yu to death with a spear!
But she didn't, because rushing in now would only bring humiliation upon herself.
"Alright, alright. It's not like I don't know what you sisters are like."
Kiana had already shattered his fantasies yesterday. An Yu had more or less figured out the Kaslana Family's temperament.
"You ran away from home too, right? Stay close. I'll take you to Kiana."
An Yu shook his head. He really didn't understand why Bronya was so close to Schicksal's young lady.
It wasn't over yet. Sirin's head suddenly sank, and murderous intent filled her beautiful golden eyes, but An Yu acted as if he hadn't noticed and rubbed her head again.
As though completely unaware, An Yu rubbed it twice more and summed up with a touch of sentimentality, "You're a shut-in too, huh!"
Looking at teenage Sirin's gradient hair hanging all the way to the ground, An Yu estimated that doing it once must be incredibly troublesome, especially with that gradient coloring.
As for how he knew... Elysia was the same way. Doing her hair was always a huge hassle. Even with An Yu helping, it often took more than half an hour.
Sirin clenched her fingers tighter.
While "chatting," they had already arrived at Bronya's office. An Yu knocked on the door.
"Come in."
That cold voice was familiar beyond words.
An Yu pushed open the door, and his gaze was immediately drawn to the figure slumped over the desk. Kiana looked like a fish that had lost all its dreams. Up close, he could see the exquisite completed model on the computer, along with the girl's dazed, unfocused azure eyes.
Bronya really was a capitalist... he silently complained.
Kiana had only been somewhat dizzy and dazed from the modeling work, but the instant the door opened, she accurately sensed her villainous older sister's low-pressure aura, and her gaze immediately went vacant.
There was a guide! There was a traitor among us!!!
"Kiana~"
Sirin's voice drifted over.
"Present!"
Kiana jolted and instantly sat perfectly straight.
Sirin, I Fucking—
The hand holding the package stiffened slightly. Kiana's reaction speed was practically a conditioned reflex... Had it really been trained into a conditioned reflex?
"Boss, your package."
He set the package aside and leisurely prepared to watch the show.
"This is Kiana's."
Bronya casually explained, leaning against the edge of the desk as she gave An Yu a nearly imperceptible glance.
This idiot had driven Kiana away. That meant one less reliable modeler.
Would they have to outsource the important story characters later? Kiana had put a lot of effort into modeling for the sake of lewdness... for the sake of recreating the perfect scenes in her mind. And to pursue perfection, she would even use Heaven-Tier Technique: Ghost Possession!
Sirin had originally been holding in a bellyful of anger, ready to teach her little sister a lesson. But bigger matters came first. She endured it. Deal with the traitor first, then deal with family matters.
Kiana lowered her head, her gaze constantly darting around. Whenever Sirin wasn't looking, she would fiercely glare at An Yu, the traitorous guide.
It was over, it was over. Next, this vile Sirin was definitely going to—
"True, Kiana. Your sister was wrong in the past."
Sirin actually took the initiative to soften.
?
Kiana froze. "Who are you? Get out of the body of my terrible-tempered, annoying, and perpetually short older sister!"
Her sister might be awful, but she was still her sister. Replacing her with some gentle, watery old monster of a character would be truly terrifying!
She hated ghost stories the most.
Veins faintly surfaced on Sirin's snow-white arm again. She took a deep breath and endured it!
"I won't steal your comics anymore."
Sirin did her best to make her tone sound gentle and trustworthy.
Kiana nodded. You got tired of reading them, right?
"And I won't steal your game console anymore."
Kiana nodded again. Of course. You finished the new game, so it's boring now, right?
"We... are biological sisters, right?"
Sirin tried to play the emotional card.
Not necessarily, Kiana muttered inwardly. You have purple hair and golden eyes. Bianca may have mutated into a blonde too, but you were born like this.
Sirin tentatively reached out, wanting to rub Kiana's head to show affection, but Kiana instinctively took half a step back like a startled rabbit.
Both of them froze at the same time.
Kiana: Oh no, it's over! That was instinctive defense...
"I feel like her veins are about to burst."
An Yu quietly commented from the side, then added as if giving a science lesson.
"By the way, bulging veins aren't only caused by clenching your fists. Spiking blood pressure and surging adrenaline can also cause localized congestion."
Bronya glanced at An Yu again. A moment later, she couldn't hold it in and looked at him once more.
At that moment, Sirin kept chanting inwardly: Don't get angry, don't get angry. The traitor is right beside me. Think of the bigger picture, think of the bigger picture!
In the end, she still managed to place her hand on her little sister's head and stiffly rub it.
"Little sis, can you do your sister a favor?"
Her voice was cloyingly sweet, carrying a girlish crispness that didn't belong to someone her age.
"What favor?"
The dagger has finally been revealed! That idiom instantly surfaced in Kiana's mind.
She had gone to university, after all, and she'd even attended book clubs with Mei and Bronya! Though most of the time, she just sat there with a miserable cat-faced expression and zoned out.
"Someone... bullied me."
Sirin looked on the verge of tears.
Kiana blinked her azure eyes. "What kind of bullying? Is it a good thing?"
With innocence and anticipation, she said, "Mom and Dad have been nagging about your marriage for ages."
And Sirin getting married would be a good thing too. Then she wouldn't have time to keep pestering her, and the house would finally be peaceful. Maybe if Sirin got bullied after marriage, she would even need Kiana to stand up for her!
That future felt like eating two popsicles in one go on a scorching summer day. Just thinking about it was—awesome!!!
"I got beaten up."
Sirin kept it brief. In truth, it wasn't just a beating—her heart had been pierced—but if she said that, Kiana would probably burst out laughing.
"Oh..."
Kiana softly responded, her tone indescribably disappointed. So she had only been beaten up. What a waste of excitement.
"We're family, after all." Sirin took her hand, her expression utterly sincere. "I hope that this time, you'll stand by me unconditionally."
"Who is it? I'll teach them a lesson for you."
Kiana still forced herself to perk up. After all, this was her sister, even if Sirin had probably been picked out of a trash can.
"Him."
Sirin precisely pointed at An Yu, who was watching the show nearby.
An Yu froze and pointed at himself too. "Me?"
An Yu?
Kiana's gaze kept shifting between the two of them. An Yu, that weirdo who mistook her for a gloomy beautiful girl...?
"You don't believe me?"
Sirin's voice instantly rose, filled with disbelief. They were biological sisters! Sisters bound by blood!
