Background / History

Kiana attended university in the same year as Bronya. During that period, An Yu noticed her sitting alone at book-club meetings with a novel, mistaking her allowance-related worries for a melancholic, “ice princess” demeanor. They did not actually speak at university. 15 94

She grew up in the Kaslana Family alongside her older sister Sirin and second older sister Durandal. Sirin routinely stole Kiana’s comics, game console, cake, and clothing, while their parents failed to stop the bullying. Kiana once reported the situation as domestic violence, only for her aunt Theresa to handle the case and repeat it publicly, worsening her treatment at home. 22 23 34

After running away from home, Kiana flew over 7,000 kilometers to seek refuge with Bronya in Shenzhou. Bronya gave her a place to stay and brought her into Reson Studio, where Kiana worked on character models. 16 23
