Background / History

Disappearance and Chernobog survival

The Doctor disappeared after being sealed away, prompting Ace and Kal'tsit to order an immediate Rhodes Island search. At the time, Kal'tsit regarded recovering her as an absolute priority. 34

She later awakened in a mansion with fragmented memories and an unfamiliar inner companion, Wraith. After realizing that the middle-aged man who had taken her in intended to abuse her, Doctor feigned compliance, killed him with a screwdriver, and escaped. She cut her silver-white hair short, dyed it black, and began searching for a white-haired, immortal woman and her unusual servant. 38

While hiding in Chernobog, Doctor exploited lax infrastructure and discarded chemicals to sabotage the city's energy-management plant. The resulting explosion cut surveillance feeds and created the opening she needed to escape in a chemical-waste vehicle. 55 56

Meeting Zuo Jian and Laurentina

Doctor was targeted by Sarkaz mercenaries after leaving Chernobog. Her makeshift steel-pipe explosive failed when Scar caught it before detonation, leaving her helpless until Zuo Jian and Laurentina intervened. 61 62

When Zuo Jian asked her name, she chose the title Doctor, one of the few identifiers she still remembered. Though initially terrified by the pair's nonhuman abilities, she came to trust Zuo Jian's directness and traveled with him and Laurentina through the wilderness. 65 67
