Dragonbinder
On the vast ocean, the waves rolled and the pale moonlight was obscured by clouds, making the light on the ship even darker.
However, neither Jon nor Euron seemed to rely on their eyes to see, thus enabling them to pinpoint each other's location precisely.
"So you're going to fight me to the death?" Euron didn't know what "happy" or "unhappy" meant, but from Jon's tone, he could tell that Jon was determined to push him to the brink.
"Fight to the death? That's a gross overestimation of your own strength. Tyrell's fleet could arrive at any moment; you'll only face certain death!"
Jon said in a deep voice, his breathing and hand movements never stopping. Euron knew that he had not yet forced his opponent to use his full strength!
"Fine, fine! I'll give them both back to you. Now get off my ship!" There was a clear hint of panic in Euron's voice.
"What, your ship? This ship is mine now!" Jon was certain that Euron's melee abilities were utterly terrible.
His ship had Valyrian steel armor, the Dragonbinder, and possibly even more Dragon Egg! Now that I've caught up with him, all of these things are mine.
"Then you can die!" Euron suppressed his panic, replacing it with ruthlessness, like a shark smelling blood.
Jon knew Euron was getting carried away, so he didn't bother to say anything to him and simply used his oar to kill two more sailors.
It would be best to keep Euron here. In Jon's plan, the only variable in his annexation of the Iron Islands is Euron; that guy's methods are truly wicked.
If Jon Snow could kill Euron, he was absolutely certain he could take over the Iron Islands Iron Islands and completely transform them into his own shape!
Jon continued his charge towards Euron, having already killed about ten of the mute sailors; Jon now had the upper hand.
Euron retreated while ordering the mute sailor to act as his human shield.
"Alright, Stark, I'll ask you this: where does your power come from?! The power to control Raven!"
Jon realized that the other man seemed very concerned about this matter, and then he remembered that he had been too focused on his evil and had overlooked the man's arrogance.
He once told others that they only needed to worship him as a god, and that it didn't matter which god it was.
Jon immediately had an idea. He said, "The true God, the real God, a being who responds to the righteous, will surely be destroyed by God sooner or later for raping his own brother and taking pleasure in tormenting others!"
As soon as Jon finished speaking, Euron's expression turned noticeably ugly. Suddenly, he laughed loudly again, "Is that so? Then let's see how your god will kill me!"
Euron stopped fighting Jon Snow, and even the surrounding sailors quickly retreated to the railing.
"Stark," suddenly Euron and his mute sailors spoke in unison, their voices a jumble of men and women, young and old, a cacophony that sounded like a demonic chant. "Take a good look and decide which one of us you should chase."
Then, dozens of people jumped into the sea with a splash, disappearing in the blink of an eye.
Not only the sailors fighting Jon on the deck, but also some figures with distinctly feminine curves who ran out of the cabins jumped down one by one.
A rough estimate suggests that at least several dozen people jumped off the ship.
"They escaped?" Jon went to the railing and looked down. The sea had returned to calm, and the sailors had fled in all directions.
Jon was alone, but Euron and his puppet sailors were able to scatter and escape to various places, making it impossible to catch them.
Wait, shouldn't those sailors be mute? How can they talk?
Jon thought for a moment, but finding no clue, he gave up for the time being.
He observed the surface and bottom of the sea using his Golden Finger and discovered that the clusters of black and red halos were gradually moving away. Only after a while, when he was certain that even if the other party turned back, they wouldn't be able to return anytime soon, did he relax a little.
The most urgent thing now is to go check on Alerie and Falia.
He glanced back at Ghost, Ghost back. Blood had stained a large patch of her snow-white fur red, but fortunately, they were all superficial wounds.
The deck space was far too cramped, Euron's mute sailors showed absolutely no fear during the battle.
Although Ghost's shoulder height has now reached his waist and its claws are sharp enough, it is still unarmored, and Jon has tried his best to avoid vital organs when controlling Ghost.
Jon reached out and patted his head, thinking he would give him some nourishment when they got back.
Not only Ghost, but almost all of Jon's Raven were injured. We'll prepare some good food for them later.
Jon left Ghost on the deck and went into the cabin alone. He found Euron's room, which was filled with bottles and jars. On his bed lay two women, Alerie and Falia.
Compared to Falia, Euron clearly values Alerie more, given that she possesses the Targaryen's signature silver hair, suggesting a potentially higher concentration of "dragon blood" within her.
Alerie was indeed very well-maintained; there wasn't a single wrinkle on her face, and even the skin around her eyes was incredibly smooth. She was just as good-looking as Falia was only seventeen or eighteen years old.
Jon seemed to see Margaery twenty years later. The mother and daughter still looked very alike.
"Lady Alerie? Lady Alerie? Mother-in-law?" Jon tried to wake Alerie, but she did not respond.
What's going on?
Jon suddenly realized that Alerie seemed to have left the castle on her own, and perhaps Euron had also Euron a spell on her.
What should we do now? Should we ask Melisandre for help?
Asking Melisandre is tantamount to asking Stannis for help, and Jon doesn't want to do that unless absolutely necessary.
When I attacked the Westerlands, he sent troops to reinforce me, partly as a reward for helping me capture King's Landing.
But Jon repaid him by giving him a portion of the Lannister treasury's treasures, essentially buying out his help.
Both men got what they needed and owed each other nothing. If future circumstances led them to break up, Jon wouldn't feel any moral or psychological burden.
Seeing that Alerie couldn't be woken up, Jon tried Falia instead, but she was also fast asleep.
Jon checked their pulses and breathing, and breathed a slight sigh of relief after confirming that they were not in immediate danger.
He looked around and found a black box in the corner, with shiny gold brass nails on it.
The box wasn't tall, only reaching my knees, but it was a full two meters long, clearly made specifically for storing something.
Upon opening the box and bringing the candlelight closer, one could see a glossy black horn inside. The horn was about the thickness of an adult's thigh and was engraved with dense golden runes.
Upon reaching out and touching it, I discovered that the horn was actually warm to the touch.
The Dragonbinder!
Based on his memory of the original story, Jon immediately recognized the horn.
By bringing the candlelight closer, Jon saw that there were indeed two Dragon Egg placed beneath the horn!
Of course, these are all fossilized Dragon Egg eggs.
That makes sense. How could someone who could obtain the Dragonbinder and the Valyrian Steel Armor only get a Dragon Egg?
Jon presented a purple Dragon Egg with two white lightning bolt patterns on it, but unfortunately, it was also a fossil. Jon knew Euron must have gone to some extraordinary place.
I should go myself if I have the chance.
The Dragon Egg, the Dragonbinder whose purpose was unknown, and most importantly, the rescue of Alerie, would further solidify the alliance between himself and Tyrell.
"Oh right, Euron should also have a Valyrian steel armor, where did it go?"
Euron had been to Valyria, after all; there was no way this ship contained only such a small amount of cargo.
Sure enough, Jon soon discovered that there were other people on the ship who hadn't run away.
He left the cabin and went down the ladder to the deck below, where it was pitch black, like a well of ink filled with ink—a darkness that could drown a person.
"Ghost, stay here and guard."
Upon hearing Jon's order, Ghost stood guard at the top of the stairs.
Jon, carrying a lantern, cautiously made his way down the stairs and discovered several cages and many stacked chests. He didn't know what was inside the chests, but the cages were all filled with people!
With his Golden Finger ability, he counted thirty-three people imprisoned in these cages.
The people in the cages instinctively curled up at the sight of Jon, making muffled noises, as if Euron had cut off their tongues.
He just hasn't turned them into the kind of mindless zombies who only know how to obey orders.
Then Jon used his Divine Vision to see that the aura emanating from these people was almost entirely gray.
This represents despair and fear.
He used his lantern to approach the cage closest to him and found six thin, disheveled people inside, whose genders were indistinguishable.
There were some food scraps at the bottom of the cage, and a toilet for excrement was placed next to it.
At that moment, Jon saw four unusual halos; those halos were not only gray, but also mixed with bluish-gray.
Jon approached the cage, where four figures lay piled up like a rag doll. As Jon drew near with his candle, the figures immediately stirred.
They were speaking in a language Jon couldn't understand, and one of them, upon seeing Jon, struggled to his feet and knelt on the ground as if begging for help.
Valyrian
Jon realized he hadn't learned a foreign language since arriving in this world, and more importantly, Valyrian was widely spoken, even having dialects. This was getting a bit tricky; would he have to find a translator?
