"Alliser is Night's Watch," Jon explained. "Go to your room and wait for me; I'll go see him."

"Can't it be tomorrow?" Margaery puffed out her cheeks, striking a charmingly naive pose.

"I'm the one who brought Alliser here. When I wanted to leave the Wall, this guy was the one who led the Night's Watch brothers to chase after me. I have to teach him a lesson."

Robert Frey, Jon Snow's squire, felt goosebumps all over his body.

Neither of them noticed that their conversations had changed considerably.

"Alright then." Margaery sighed, then suddenly remembered something and took off her necklace, stuffing it into Jon's hand. "Let Alliser take it and sell it to pay for the Night's Watch's castle repairs. Just say it's a gift from the Lady of Casterly Rock."

"No problem." Holding the necklace that still held Margaery's warmth, Jon kissed her forehead and watched as Margaery, supported by her maid Falia, slowly entered the building.

Inside the reception room, Alliser, dressed entirely in black, was extremely restless. She kept shifting her position in her chair, as if a hedgehog were sitting on her bottom. Combined with her black robes, she looked like a wriggling lump of black mud.

Alliser frowned, shaking her leg as she looked around the interior decoration and furnishings, holding a small piece of paper in her hand and muttering something to herself.

"Your Grace, it is my great regret that I could not attend your wedding, but I wish you and Lady Margaery a happy first birth of your first child—your first son—tsk." Alliser frowned, feeling that something was amiss, and began to repeat herself.

"I wish you and Mrs. Margaery a speedy delivery of your first child; it will surely be a strong boy."

"A strong boy, yes! A strong boy is good."

As Alliser carefully considered her words, she kept tapping on his little note with her fingernails. After all, she didn't have a pen with her, so this was all she could do.

In just a short while, Alliser was covered in sweat, and even her lips turned pale.

It's no wonder he was so nervous; it had only been a year since Jon left the Wall, and in such a short time he had gone from bastard to duke.

He still remembered how, back on the Wall, he always liked to call Jon "Lord Jon," a sarcastic way of saying that as a bastard, he would never become a lord.

But who could have imagined that the bastard son who had been mocked by him on the Wall would become the Lord of Casterly Rock? When the letter from the Citadel reached the Wall, he thought the fat man had misread it and took the letter himself, turning it over and over in his mind.

Many people looked at Alliser with expressions of amusement or even schadenfreude. At that time, Alliser stubbornly said that since she was now Night's Watch, Jon couldn't do anything to her.

But to everyone's surprise, Jon recently mentioned in a letter that he wanted the Night's Watch to come to the Westerlands to recruit a group of criminals to serve as recruits for the Night's Watch at the Wall, and specifically requested that Alliser be sent there.

Allissa, mindful of past grievances, initially wanted to decline, but Yoren, the raven who had seen Jon at Harrenhal, told Mormont that Jon was not a vengeful person.

Mormont, considering Jon's previous insistence on returning to the Wall to continue his duties, also believed that Alliser's journey would be safe and sent Alliser to Casterly Rock.

After all, the Night's Watch had just received a shipment of supplies sent in Jon's name not long ago, so even if Jon wanted to vent his anger on Alliser, he would have to put up with it.

Jon couldn't control him, but Mormont could, so Alliser had no choice but to come.

"Gods, I don't want anything, I just want that bastard to let me go." Alliser prayed silently in her heart.

"Lady Alliser"

Just as Alliser was praying, she suddenly heard Jon's voice. This familiar yet unfamiliar voice sent a shiver down her spine.

"Historian--Your Majesty the Duke."

Alliser quickly stood up and bowed deeply towards the doorway where Jon had appeared, not even daring to look directly into those grey eyes.

"Please sit down."

"Good."

Jon sat down next to Alliser quite naturally, and although Alliser answered verbally, she didn't dare to sit down.

"Sit down," Jon urged again.

Alliser swallowed hard, steeled her resolve, and asked, "My lord, I was wrong in many things in the past. Please punish me as you see fit!"

Alliser's voice was so loud that Sandor outside could hear it.

However, although the sound was loud, it had a noticeable vibrato.

Jon looked at Alliser and knew this was going to happen.

He began, "Alliser, we had some minor disagreements at the Wall, but that's all in the past. I won't hold a grudge against you for what happened. In fact, I was planning to write to Robb to release you from your Night's Watch oath."

"Release—" Alliser looked at Jon in shock, not understanding why he was being so kind to her.

Tywin tricked Allissa into opening the gates of King's Landing, and Alliser only surrendered at the last moment. However, after surrendering, Tywin did not give her the dignity she deserved, but instead made her choose between death and going to the Wall.

That's where Tywin's mistake lies. After all, everyone is acting on their own side, and Alliser didn't break any laws.

At most, he didn't fight to the death for Aerys, which is a little unfair in terms of honor.

But it's too difficult to ask someone to fight to the death. In any case, Jon knows that Alliser doesn't like the Wall; he just has no choice but to stay the Wall.

"Please have a seat, Lady Alliser." Jon recounted his past, implying that someone like him shouldn't be on the Wall.

Upon hearing Jon say he would break his vow, Alliser felt as if the young duke was being bathed in holy light!

"Really, my lady?" Alliser's voice trembled with excitement, and she had unconsciously changed from fear and resistance to flattery.

"Of course it's true. You were innocent to begin with, but were forced to go to the Wall by Tywin. So after conquering Casterly Rock, I had this idea, hoping to keep you by my side in the future."

"I do, my lord, I do!" Alliser jumped up, wishing she could kneel before Jon immediately.

Seeing Alliser's excited state, Jon quickly helped him up.

"But Sir Alliser, not now. I need time to work things out. After all, if I were to simply revoke your oath, it could demoralize the troops on the Wall, and you would need to earn some merit first."

"No problem, sir! No problem!" Alliser said excitedly.

He was so excited that he couldn't speak when his life sentence was suddenly changed to a fixed term.

Now he's willing to do anything Jon asks, even fight Giants.

Alliser had always believed she would die one day on a cold night at the Wall, so how could she not be excited when Jon told her she would have the chance to spend the rest of her life in the warm South?

"Alright, alright, get up, Lady Alliser," Jon said, personally helping Alliser to her feet.

Besides Adam, he was now his most loyal informant on the Wall.

"Besides needing to achieve merit on the Wall, I also want you to bring a Raven with you. We'll communicate through the Raven, and I need you to report any news from the Wall to me promptly."

"Your Grace, rest assured, I will," Alliser said. "Are you worried about the White Walkers?"

"That's right. Now that the country is basically at peace, the White Walkers and the Long Night will become our greatest threat. It's too slow for news to travel through Winterfell to Casterly Rock. I need to keep track of the Night's Watch's situation in real time."

Seeing that Jon, despite being the Warden of the West and Lord of Casterly Rock, still cared so much about the Wall, Alliser was deeply moved.

However, while monitoring the Wall was one aspect, Jon had another reason for specifically sending Alliser: to see Maester Aemon.

Now that Euron has appeared, there is no doubt that he will use Sacrificial Magic.

Maester Aemon was a pure Targaryen, at least purer than Jon. He had plenty of King's Blood in him.

If Melisandre or Euron targets him, he might be used for some serious trouble. Therefore, Jon in this timeline needs to protect Aemon like Jon in the other timeline.

He planned to secretly bring Aemon to Casterly Rock for protection, so that he would have a pretext and advantage if it came time to form an alliance with Daenerys. Jon reached out, and Robert Frey quickly handed him a letter.

"Sir Alliser, I would like you to deliver this letter to Sam so that he may read it to Maester Aemon in a secluded place." Jon emphasized the condition of being in a secluded place and personally took Alliser's hand and placed the letter in his hand.

"Rest assured, my lord, I will certainly not fail in my mission!" Alliser said solemnly as she took the envelope, her tone as serious as if she were addressing a king.

Although he was a little curious about the contents of the letter, completing his own task was his top priority.

Leaving that awful place, the Wall, as soon as possible is more important than anything else.

Alliser stayed in Casterly Rock for two more days, exploring the surrounding towns. He had already decided that he would retire here after returning from the Wall.

Jon also promised him a grand mansion near Casterly Rock, which made his loyalty even more absolute.

Unexpectedly, the young duke had even considered his own funeral arrangements.

When Alliser left, she took nearly a hundred soldiers from the Westerlands with her. Jon then carried out a similar "trial" of executions among those who escaped back from the Westerlands, much like the one in King's Landing.

The difference is that these soldiers could choose to go to the Wall.

No one wanted to die, so they all followed Alliser. Adam, of course, was among them.

Considering that Jaime Kingslayer, was also at the Wall, Jon specifically instructed Alliser to assign Adam to a place as far away from Jaime as possible.
